Ord Mantell City || 146 ABY

Ord Mantell was a microcosm of everything wrong with the Free Worlds Alliance. Nobody in that feeble "government" (if it could even be called one) were interested in centralized policing or power. That flaw made them a cesspool for crime, an easy target for any one of the Five Syndicates. But the Syndicates had surprisingly taken little interest in it—either Ord Mantell or the Alliance more broadly.

Fools.

Oh well. If they insisted on setting up such a magnificent buffet for her to eat from, she would oblige them. All the better that she was the first Hutt to do so. So far from the politics of Hutta, she was free to remake Ord Mantell's criminal underworld in her image. She just needed to reach out and take it. To that end, she'd summoned a being she thought was worthy of becoming her champion. The centerpiece of her plan. Once he was in place, the board would be set.

Her throne room on the floor beneath the main bar of her Menagerie was decorated in opulence for the occasion. A chiseled Twi'lek man, her favorite slave, rested chained against her gullet. Her Weequay guards flanked her on either side, and her majordomo sat crosslegged on a cushion before her throne. The rest of the room was dressed in pearl fabrics and purfumed to erase the usual odor that accompanied Hutts.

When it was time, her impish majordomo spoke with her authority. "My master, Her Excellency Mordeth the Hutt, Eminence of Ord Mantell, bids you welcome to her abode," the creature said to their guest. "She also hopes your travels were not unpleasant. It is Her Eminence's wish to enlist you in a job that will likely involve a tad bit of bloodshed. She trusts this will not be a problem?"

Straight to the point, just as Mordeth pleased. The Hutt waved to a pair of server droids who offered their guest a refreshment of his choosing and a bowel of freshly cooked frog legs. She didn't know if his kind enjoyed such things, but he could refuse if they didn't. @Oreus

Your services are requested in the Bright Jewel System, Sell-Sword. Began the simple message over the holonet as Zeyt checked the blinking indicator for a new alert. The majordomo of a Hutt Lorda had latched onto one of the tendrils the 'mercenary' had sent out looking for jobs. It continued on about meeting on the planet to discuss exact details.

"Not much to go on here, but it is a Hutt asking for a job. That's the inside connection I've been wanting." He mused to an empty room as he pulled some gear out. A set of mercenary armor was tucked away in some baggage alongside some blasters and basic equipment. The young Sith Champion at the moment of receiving the message had been wearing his dark robes, lightsaber, and a Caucasian male human face. Zeyt walked by a mirror as he changed his gear and watched as his skin seemingly liquidized and reshaped, recolored, and settled onto the look of Jas Mosprib. This was his usual mercenary appearance and the one that had to answer this request.

---

Three days later...

Streaks of blue faded to real space as the rented freighter lurched out of hyperspace. The crusty old captain announced their arrival and as the cargo was being unloaded, Jas slipped out into the city unnoticed. There were no strong customs enforcement policies in place to prevent an unseen entry. "The Menagerie... looks like my kind of place."

A Twi'lek man guided the 'human' mercenary down to the administrative throne area below the main bar. Jas calmed himself with deep breathing and extended his vision throughout using the force. It was minor and only to keep him better alerted to any issues or traps, nothing outright visible as a move a Sith or Jedi might be doing. The throne itself opened up and Jas gave a respectful bow to the new client and her company.

"I am honored by your welcome." he replied very monotonously after the Majordomo stopped speaking. There was a few moments of pause as his eyes wandered the area and noted those inside. "Bloodshed is my specialty, it won't be a problem. I assumed that's why I'm here."

Now that Jas the Mercenary stood before Mordeth and her people, it became clear that he was not the most heavily armed or armored being even in the building. A bar full of mercenary and bounty hunters certainly looked heavily equipped if one were to peek upstairs. All that was visible on Jas was a blaster pistol in a belt holster, a vibroblade in a front sheath, and his medium-class mercenary armor. One hand rested on the opposite hip from his pistol while the other gripped the collar of his armor casually. Unknown to anyone else, a red lightsaber rested in a hidden pocket underneath the armor near the breast where his hand rested.

"What blood are we spilling today?"

The majordomo opened her mouth to speak, but the immense Hutt behind her raised a chubby paw and silenced her without speaking. Mordeth was more than capable of speaking for herself when the time came. And if the newcomer couldn't speak Huttese, the creature could resume her role as the Hutt's mouthpiece. Some business just needed to be dealt with directly.

The man she sought to hire was human. Under-equipped by all appearances, but Mordeth had learned not to underestimate the people she hired. All of them were good at their jobs for a reason. If this man walked into a Hutt's den looking like this, he was hiding skills to compensate. And so be it. Let him have his secrets. She wasn't paying for those today. She needed him for two things. He would be handsomely rewarded for both.

«Du wa kouciukoee hou, pheca lorda doi hhont Ahu konkaui hatkocanh nan wata bai mah Gohnee che wa panpiht see bmala,» Mordeth explained. «Vee hatkocanh eeth nudd wa champio bai dokoi du twa bantkokobaee. Jee yoiit uba doth bidwata.»

Scum. The lot of them. But they had eaten up her invitation. No one on Ord Mantell would pass up the opportunity to assert themselves as the big dog. They knew winning the competition would elevate their status. From the smallest drug dealers to the biggest street gangs; everyone would be in attendance. Which is where she would make her move. In one fell stroke, she would relieve them all of their heads. Then their gangs and spoils would be hers to enjoy.

«See pacmhanaduee, Jee gee nobata kankanla see cuove bu hihneha. Uba dayan ata woy fa hhe bu koo manbesa. Kankay manbesa Jee hatkocanh kotky wa masoi bai watka bu apoya. Kuna kee killee tytung bu lorda ree da natmahconza,» she continued. She paused long enough to let the details of the job sink in before adding, «Jee hatkocanh uyat uba dai um baw wah dopyapih see tah hotpaka. Kuna kee jot wata cay patka bimahwuia cay phabeka an wa tachonlauadi sinsa lwaa uba dayan bo.»

Once she controlled all of Ord Mantell's gangs, paying this interloper a great sum would be a small task. The tribute fees she received from them afterwards would more than make up for the loss. And if he proved equal to this task, she would have need of the mercenary again. Both of them got rich. Both of them got a valuable contact. She didn't see a way for either of them to lose this arrangement. @Oreus

The hired gun stood silently, his eyes on the Hutt who spoke rather than on the Majordomo or to wander the room anymore. There were no real reactions coming from him through any of the reveals or points made, simply attentive watching and listening. Once the Hutt was done speaking its piece about the job, he glanced to the Majordomo with a mischievous grin. His hands dropped to his sides and away from the weapons he secretly had been ready to use.

"Sounds like fun." He remarked casually before glancing back to the Hutt and raising his hand in a sweeping motion before a theatrical bow. "It would be a great honor to represent you in combat, and to slay the underserving scum."

Jas had motioned during his bow, and that was all an elaborate cover for manipulating the force without being noticed. The Sith Champion hiding within the mercenary shell was a master of force illusion. It would be a foolish move to use mental tricks on a Hutt. That was a lesson every Sith and Jedi was taught in the early years. Instead, Jas was targeting one of the Weequay guards on either side of the Hutt herself. Brutes like that were often easily manipulated by these tricks and that was something Jas likely counted on here.

From the view of the guard, it would appear as if an assassin had jumped down behind the Hutt. It didn't need to be highly detailed to sell the illusion, so all that was projected was a humanoid in black robes holding a vibroblade. It would plainly seem like someone sneaking in to stab the Hutt in the back.

"Die!" the guard shouted out before lunging forward towards the non-existent assassin, and therefore also the Hutt.

Anticipating this exact move, because he caused it, Jas drew his pistol and fired extremely quickly at the guard's chest. It was an easy shot at this range and didn't really risk hitting the master before the lunge completed. The Weequay would hit the floor behind his Hutt Master with a thud and a clank as his drawn weapon hit the ground alongside him.

"Maybe you should pay me extra if your guards are going to be an issue too? Seems your rivals might be playing a similar game."

Laughter rumbled through the great Hutt. It was odd that her guard had suddenly attacked her. That Weequay in particular had been in her service for half a century without issue. But she would review her security at another time. This Champion was worthy of representing her—and worth getting to know more about. More importantly, she couldn't show weakness or fear. This had to look to be all apart of her plan. Else this merc would undoubtably ask for a price more than he was worth.

«Uba doth paupe momeu dah bu jah.» Mordeth said. «In ting cheespa jahke bai baumahka wa bauh che copah. Du wopka, Jee bla wa heee bai lohonka fa.» With a tap of her pudgy finger on a button mounted on her throne, Mordeth dimmed the room's lights and activated a hologram of a lithe Falleen warrior. «Va heee naua doth mee pankhobaii du bu koo manbesa. Bu champio che Teshe Bin, coo boyeke bai gee wa han dah tah danko bimhee fet bu Puana Keueka-ou. Nobata siw la gee bacaka bai yoieu fa bata; um Cheesba banba hoohah wa wankee da tah danko doth nobata janse Teshe Bin baa. Killee tah yae du mee bauicaka an Jee hatkocanh fofo mee uyat bonee wagan bu baua pheca lorda doth bargon cay.»

Black Sun was not the threat it used to be. Most of its major leaders had retreated to Mustafar, though Mordeth had heard the planet was now under Sith jurisdiction, so who knew what the status of Black Sun was these days. Still, there were many political benefits to humiliating what remained of their forces. The Senator of Ord Mantell, for instance, was well-known for hating Black Sun. Perhaps killing their champion and removing their leader on Ord Mantell would open up a potential business venture between the Hutts and the good senator. Either way, Mordeth liked the possibilities.

Jas' left eye squinted slightly as he looked over the crumpled corpse. It quickly reverted to normal as the Hutt laughed and began to move along. His attention outwardly turned to the holo of the Falleen fighter with a slight turn of the shoulders to face it. Smoke billowed from the barrel of his pistol as he quietly slipped it back into its holder at his belt. A satisfying click would signal a snug fit with the clip and let everyone know that it was, in fact, holstered.

"Yes. We have a deal." Jas said coldly, his eyes kept to the hologram as if in deep study.

The Black Sun champion, as per some apparent tradition, was a Falleen warrior. It seemed to be the typical mercenary who would work for such an organization. He work elaborate armor with golden accents and jewelry of sorts all over. He would be heavily armed and flashy with his skills, likely light on his feet as well. It was more than likely someone experienced in enforcement flown in for an easy job handling a bunch of small time criminals.

Ord Mantell City || 3 Days Later...

At last the day of Mordeth's victory had come. A century of wasting away on Ord Mantell would finally pay off if she played all her cards right tonight. If Jas Mosprib did his job. The moment the lanterns were lit on the streets outside, the Menagerie began to fill with beings from all of the planet's major and minor crime gangs. All from the Nikto biker gangs to the remnants of Black Sun.

The Hutt sat upon her litter counting each head as they came inside. She couldn't miss a single one of them. If she did, the war for Ord Mantell's streets would continue beyond the night, and her planning would be all for nothing. The Trandoshans had come with a Wookiee gladiator as their champion. The Nikto had unsurprisingly chosen a member of their gang for theirs. Duros spice-dealers had hired a strange-looking assassin droid. And there was Black Sun, arguably the best looking of the lot. It was such a shame the Syndicate had fallen so far on Ord Mantell. Mordeth had to restrain a yawn when she saw them.

The assembled crime bosses and their representatives filtered into the main floor of the Menagerie. All of the tables and chairs had been pushed against the walls to make space for the night's event. Perhaps one day she would have a palace to host these competitions in, but this would do for tonight. She nodded to Heleen, her majordomo.

"My master, Her Excellency Mordeth the Hutt, bids you all a warm welcome to tonight's contest," the imp-like alien said. "Seats have been prepared for the leaders of all the major families in attendance tonight, and there is food and drink circulating via droid. We will now commence the first round of tonight's festivities—"

«And who has decided these matchups?» one of the Duros spice-dealers spoke up, his grainy voice filtered through a voice modulator around his throat. «I don't trust a Hutt not to set us up.»

Someone from the assembly shouted a 'Here, here.'

«Um kuna kee kouwahe phova dah bo baa lotkoca?» Mordeth asked from behind her fan. «Da doth tanee doth wa bmaleoi douasonh yatuka.»

«Spare us. We think the Wookiee should fight first.»

The Trandoshans' heads whipped around at this; but, after a few moments of hissing at each other, they all agreed. The Wookiee, not Black Sun's Falleen champion, would be the in the first round. The one to fight Jas. Oh, she was so going to enjoy killing them later.

«Is this a problem, Hutt?» the Duros leader pressed.

Mordeth fanned herself for a long moment. Would Jas agree to fight the Wookiee? This hadn't been their deal. He would almost certainly demand a higher payment now. But that would be a question to ask later. For now, she had to save face. «Nobata. Du wopka, Jee hatkocanh wamma mah champio ee yaba bai koose mi mee Wookiee baa wai. Fa naua woy wa luto homechah bankop see mah hhana.»

The assembled roared their approval. This is what they'd come for. Blood and sport. And by night's end, when they'd had their fill, they would be blood and sport.

"If there are no further interruptions," an annoyed Heleen spoke up, "then let the first round get underway!" @Oreus

A/N: Rolled a d20 on Discord and got 12. All leaders needed for Mordeth's plan arrive, but they take issue with how she set up the competition and changed the order of the fighters.

The course of three days since the meeting mostly consisted of Jas cleaning his armor and weapons, doing some workouts, and strategizing on a datapad. Rental rooms on the planet were not known for their luxury but they were easy to disappear into. No interruptions would come before competition day itself. Jas would arrive at the competition early to coordinate with his employer and prepare. During the initial introductions and buzz, he would be sitting close to Mordeth until it was time to enter the makeshift ring.

"If there are no further interruptions," an annoyed Heleen spoke up, "then let the first round get underway!"

A hush came over the otherwise rowdy crowd as a Wookiee Champion entered the clearing. Its howls and growls attracted a mild cheer from his team, but it quickly returned to tense silence. Jas entered the ring, scraping his feet along the floor with a slow sway into the ring opposite of the large being. Perhaps an even weaker cheer came from some supporters or employees of the Hutt just as supporters for the Wookiee had done.

"You're not worth my time. Walk away." Jas said with a bored tone as he entered a defensive stance, weaponless for the moment.

Jas' simple request was ignored completely. The Wookiee Warrior, working for one of the local-small-names, charged ahead with a vibroblade in hand. His form was sloppy and took advantage of brute force due to size. Zeyt was a Sith Champion and had faced so much worse than this rush. He never even drew a weapon as the heavy swing came down at his head. A single step into the swing at the right moment put Jas too close for the Wookiee to make a hit, just an awkward hug with fuzzy arms stuck up in the air. Jas might get a bruise or two from the hard impact against a bigger body, but it was worth it.

"I told you to walk away." Jas practically hissed at the big warrior as he reached to grab the Wookiee's neck. Using a bit of leverage by pressing his foot into the shin of the Wookiee, the mercenary twisted his enemy's body to the floor in a well-practiced martial arts throw. The vibroblade clattered to the floor and the Wookiee roared in pain at the awkward, muscle twisting fall. "Hold still. I don't want to ruin Mordeth's new rug."

One knee went into the Wookiee's neck as the other leg pinned its body to the floor. This fight was clearly decided but the request had not been met quite yet. Jas flicked the vibroblade from its sheath and plunged it without hesitation into one of the Wookiee's eyes; straight to the brain. Disappointed grumbles came from the Duros crew before their attention was drawn back once more. It wasn't over.

The games were delayed a few minutes as a pelt was carefully cut. A few of the lesser scum seemed to be eyeing the doorways as they realized their own potential fates here. Jas would deliver the fresh pelt to his new employer and let someone else clean the other remnants.

"Which fight is next? I believe the Wookiee swapped with the Falleen from Black Sun?" The crimson-coated vibroblade in hand pointed at the Falleen and then to a Trandoshan fighter. The announcer seemed a bit stunned still from the live pelting session to give much word. "Those two are next then."

Mordeth had to admit to being impressed. And amused. She laughed heartily, her jubilance rattling the walls of her own establishment. The Wookiee's pelt was still bleeding when it was dropped at her feet. And all the better it was. She would soon be using it as a reminder to those who crossed her that this was her territory. There wasn't room for other gangs on Ord Mantel. Even those with Wookiee gladiators behind them.

«Ho ho ho ho!» she laughed. «Lova num mah champio vot Wooky cua dan ai uba, Hhonbatre. In ting Jee hatkocanh gee mee champio bahia bai uba che natmahconza.»

With a wave of her fan at the flayed corpse of the Wookiee, a handful of Weequay stepped forward and hauled the bleeding body away. It was times like these she wished she had a rancor. She bet they liked Wookiee meat. She was sorely tempted to make good on her threat and serve it for dinner. But no. She could revel later. She barked to start the next match in the first round.

And an eventful match it was.

The Nikto biker went up against the Duros' assassin droid—and won. The gang rejoiced as if they'd just won their regional Huttball tournament. The Duros had bet a whole rotation's worth of spice earnings the droid would win, and now those earnings would go to the Nikto. Or at least that's what the Nikto thought. In reality, they would belong to Mordeth. Perhaps she would fork those credits in Jas' direction. He had done his job well enough.

The next round was clear. Jas versus the Falleen from Black Sun. Mordeth had intended to break after the first round for a feast. That was when Jas would kill the leaders of the various gangs. But she could see Jas wanted to fight the Falleen, and she needed Black Sun to get this message. So, she decided to give the champions a choice.

«Dopa dokoi joniu an ata duba champio jot. Bu dopa'ta manbesa doth doptpuiyem mah champio pankhop Teshe Bin baa. Jee hatkocanh jot fa fet hoohah haku jeejee woy.» Mordeth said. «Puna puna che e'nachu mo dokoi vee baua an jeejee konza bankop bu boukee. wohot tee woy kiuke koumola nei. Ree koumuaee whao uba dokoi, jeejee gee bo koumi dika bai tikha.» @Oreus

A/N: Rolled two d20 on Discord. The first was to determine who else won the first round: 1-10 was the Nikto biker, 11-20 was the Duros assassin droid. I rolled 10 on this round. The second was to determine how according to plan things went after this round. I rolled a 19 on that round, so safe to say things are still going smoothly.

"Might as well feast and enjoy what might be our last moments, eh?" The Falleen said with the Nikto agreeing, all the while Jas moved his mouth mockingly to mimic the pair. The whole venue had become a bit tense and grew quieter as the fights went on. Especially after the brutal Wookiee pelting. What was left of the cheering crowd was just the remaining Nikto's patrons and some Black Sun thugs grunting for their man in the upcoming match.

"Feast it is. Jas finally said, a bit of surrender in his voice as he turned his body away from the ring and instead towards the preparations of food that were suddenly being pushed forward.

A quick sideways glance to Mordeth was about the only signal the Mercenary gave his boss of what was coming. The agreement had been to kill them all during the feast. A bit of a twist in the plan might have changed the course to their goal, but here they were. Each of the scum leaders and the remaining champions came together a bit closer to inspect the feast. A wise criminal might consider the food poisoned and be wary, but that wasn't where the danger was today.

Both of the remaining competitors for Jas were close together and walking towards the food. Jas took advantage of his position to try to manipulate them. He could create fake black sun agents for the Nikto to see about to assassinate him, and that was the intent. The disguised Sith Championed waved his hand at the pair, but they decided to turn around and goad their rival just as that was happening. A mind trick was a known bane to criminal organizations and this looked much like that same motion. They both recognized it instantly and drew blasters.

"Jedi Trickery! The Hutt thinks we can be played so easily, does she? Kill them!" The Falleen made a rallying cry and many of the patrons decided to agree. Jas had set off chaos in a way not quite to plan it seemed.

"Feth it..." He muttered to himself as he flicked his right wrist to bring his red lightsaber snapping to life into his hand. Meanwhile, Jas' other hand flung forwards and then the wrist flicked upwards to blast the Nikto into the ceiling with a huge burst of air. An offensive force attack against such a vulnerable target rendered a broken neck and half dead opponent, but the Falleen would be more difficult. Others in the room began to pull their blasters and blades in hopes to take a shot at either Jas or Mordeth now.

Just like that, the Menagerie was in chaos.

A Jedi! A Jedi in her very halls. Or not a Jedi, because why would a Jedi work for a Hutt? The Jedi were the most pretentious poodoo Mordeth had ever had the displeasure of knowing. On and on they went about their Code, justice, the 'light side.' Their new Grand Master was so limp-spined and meek that even a Hutt look brave next to her. She couldn't stand the lot of them. This man, though. He was no Jedi. He fought without honor, like any other sell-sword. This one was a Sith—or at least enough like a Sith to matter.

«Killee twa vap!» Mordeth shouted over the frenzy. «Bu cobaya hatkocanh youkesa joppay twa kloonkee mii.»

Even as she spoke, shots flew. None of them hit her. One struck the litter upon which she was sitting. Another lanced past her head and struck the ceiling. But no one was really aiming. They had all seen the Sith and were struck with terror. The only brave one, the Falleen from Black Sun's remnant, rushed not at the Sith, but Mordeth. It made sense. She was a Hutt. She was large, slow, and looked vulnerable. After all, she didn't have a gun or a laser sword. But Hutts had their own weapons. Their tails for instance.

Mordeth raised hers and brought it down like a bulky club. The weight, the force of the swing, was enough to squash the Falleen warrior like a bug. Let it not be said a Huttess never did anything to advance her own interests. The warrior's gruesome death gave the others in the Menagerie a pause. They had expected her to call her Weequay. Or for the Sith to protect her. Instead, she had proven deadly all by herself. And now, all she had to do was wait. @Oreus

Zeyt raised his lightsaber to a protective stance as he came face to face with the Falleen warrior. It seemed that was enough of a deterrent by itself because the warrior turned and ran for Mordeth instead. A slight smirk spread across the disguised Sith's face as his eyes tracked the entire pathway the Black Sun agent took. He did nothing to help at all. When the large Hutt smashed the little warrior with her tail, he cackled with joy and gave a thumbs up to her.

"Shoot him you idiots!" shouted a duros boss as a few warriors hesitated to so much as budge towards an ignited lightsaber.

"I only need to kill you. Rest of them can scurry off, loud-mouth." Teasing jabs came as Jas charged ahead with actual jabs of hot plasma.

One pair brave enough to fight back sent blaster bolts after the Sith but he simply dodged and weaved, deflected one or two along the way. None went back and hit the shooters, but they got the message loud and clear when a red blade penetrated just below the neck of their esteemed Duros leader. That was the final straw for the Duros gang who scrambled to escape. Jas would pay them no mind as to whether they made it out or get finished my Weequay guards.

"Run!" Came the cry from a nearby table as the Trandoshans witnessed their neighbors get slaughtered, followed quickly by the Nikto gang crying out as well. "Kill him!"

It seemed this gang was a bit more brave than the Duros one. The Nikto leader and three gang members all charged at Jas with vibroblades in their hands. This one would be more of a fight, as Jas was outnumbered despite perhaps being much stronger. The first clashed blades and retreated unharmed but the next came in harder to jab at the Sith's ribs. A slight ding was heard as it clipped the Mercenary's armor instead, then was followed by searing cut and scream.

"Karking idiots, stab him!" The leader cried out pointlessly as Jas motioned with his left hand, sending the remaining guards flying into some tables. Jas then had a one-on-one with the Nikto boss who could only manage to defend himself with words. "Wait, I can pay you! I'll give you more tha-"

A headless body could no longer speak. Jas turned to find the Trandoshans who fled to find that a trio of Weequay guards had skewered them at the door, alongside many others who tried to flee. He was breathing heavy and looked exhausted from what was a much harder fight than it needed to be. The fight was over though, except for the Black Sun representatives who sat with their fancy robes in a corner, unable to escape or fight back.

Click... fwoosh.

The faint red glow that had filled the area vanished as the blade was holstered back to its hidden pocket. Jas grabbed a chair nearest to himself and plopped down harshly onto it. One of the Black Sun leaders looked over to Mordeth and then to Jas sitting in the chair. "The Black Sun will hear about this. You've just pissed off a big member of the Synd-"

Pew!

The Falleen boss slumped into his seat as a blaster bolt landed between his eyes.

Just like that, it was done. The bosses were gone. Their surviving men cowered like wretches in the corners of the Menagerie. Though it had not all gone as planned, Mordeth finally had the opportunity she had been searching for since she hired Jas. Drawing herself to her full height, the Hutt towered over the survivors.

«Fa doth woy. Mee lorda doth banieie. Twa phona lwaa ahnoe mah pehot bacaka wa vehpobapai. Wa kacaheu bai heee coo bai mi see haku bakanu mah kouocea.» Mordeth boomed over the silent chamber. «Bu cobaya see uba gee wa douaph. Uba caiot sobahesa bai pankhobadokoua an biway bu pauahau see mah champio, mo uba caiot laniwuapt an lohonkeola kae nei. Pheca dah Ahu konkaui ateema bamohkan bai Mordeth bu Yih.»

The only ones who could not kneel were the remnants of Ord Mantell's Black Sun wing. They were all dead. A good enough bargaining chip for the Senator of Ord Mantell should the meeting ever come. The rest of the survivors barely hesitated. One-by-one, the Nikto, the Duros, and the Trandoshans knelt before their new master. In their chosen tongue, they swore her their lives and their fortunes, abolishing the shackles that tied them to their former crime syndicates and binding them forever to the Anjiliac kajidic.

«Uba doth tytung ateema cohka dee Yih woceuea. Mah woceuea,» she continued. «Jee lwaa cahcata uba bai sobahesa pihonkee mee donba, mee bmela jolie, mee jiu vehpobaa, an bu Hhonbatre noa-a cahcata bai sobahesa twa vot. Um Jee hatkocanh paknee ata wa hhonoo see tytung bargon uba woy du kankahchonha um baw wah sobahesa awela dee Yih Pohka. An mee nem, see pacmhanaduee.»

A loud cry went up in a triage of languages. The terms had been accepted. Mordeth had her criminal empire now. With this, Nor'baal would have to acknowledge Ord Mantell as her territory. All of the Syndicates would. «Ateema, ciheu tah bimhee an koose mi bu ciheu phona see mee vap peee samou. Jee dayan bai cohai cay mah champio.»

She gestured for Jas to come aside with her, then crawled towards a private area of the lounge. When she could be sure they were both alone, she spoke. «Uba gee woy tee yabee, Beh.» she said, emphasizing her new discovery. «Jee bimapa uba gee wa mayan che t'chuta mee baweueole bai bu Kacmahea. Jee lwaa tee mesohbaka, che uba gee woy cuee ai Meecooda gee saconba.» She considered this next part carefully. «Jee kankanla bai wamma uba ateema, um koo: Dobra du dayan see wa pankoph don bu Kacmahea. Lwaa uba doth hatkocanh, kuna kee vee gee awela cay bu Yih lwaa uba dayan fa.» @Oreus
