Takes not long place before this thread.

Well, today is the big day. Spectre is to go before the Hutt Council themselves on Nal Hutta to see about the dapper Cartel Vigo take his place in the empty seat among the Council left by the new Supreme Mongul Svallos the Hutt. Spectre is already on Nal Hutta, his appointment with the Hutt Council isn't for quite awhile, so he has plenty of time before he goes to face the big slugs in the Supreme Mongul's palace. In a city not far off from the palace, Spectre would be in a cantina, sitting in a dark, dimly lit booth off in a corner. There were patrons going about the rest of their days, there were twi'lek dancers in hologram form on moving levitating platforms. He would have his arms crossed on the table as a glass of Corellian brandy sitting on the table.

The reason he is why, is he wanted to have a drink with a certain someone. A fellow Cartel Vigo, a capable operative, and a good friend of his, Parvis. Today is a good day for Spectre, it will be a good day, he pay for a drink or two for Parvis. Spectre would be in his black suit, he would just have a pistol on him holstered undertone his left shoulder underneath his jacket just in case any the local ruffian scum decide they wanted a piece of a Cartel Vigo. With that, it's only a matter of time until his good friend Parvis is here.

Parvis had to admit that he didn't have too many friends - oh sure, he had people he liked and who liked him, but he mainly just had people who liked him and liked working with him. Spectre was one of, perhaps, two people in the Galaxy that Parvis would actually elect to call his friend. The kind of person that Parvis would actually go out of his way to help out even when there wasn't any benefit to himself.

And Spectre was a cool enough guy that there often was benefit on both sides too regardless - he was a cool guy like that.

Arriving at the cantina, Parvis made sure to purchase his own drink, a Gin from Dantooine he had started to get into, before sliding into the seat opposite his friend. He grinned a little bit as he nodded to him,

"Spectre." he greeted his friend before smirking a little bit, "Suppose I should start getting ready to call you 'sir' when you take your place on the council?"

He was joking a little bit but... only a little bit. He really would call Spectre sir if given the opportunity and he would mean it with nothing but respect too.

It's always good to see Parvis. A good friend, a good operative, a good Vigo. "Good to see you Parvis" Spectre would respond to Parvis as the other Vigo greeted him with a smile raised towards his friend as he would begin to reach for his glass and take a sip of his brandy. As for Parvis' question, he did notice that there was a little bit of a joke in what he was asking. "Well, I suppose you could if you want. Our relationship would be similar to what we had as Vigo to Basadi. Although I wouldn't insist you address me as 'Lorda' or 'Your Excellency' though" Two common honorifics for the Hutt Kajdiics. Maybe for the rank-and-file Cartel minions he would expect that courtesy, Spectre wouldn't make his friends like Parvis address him by those titles. Sounds a bit pretentious. "But yes, thank you for coming I really appreciate it" he would nod his head as he would take another sip of his drink. "You know, at age 23 I was still in University in Coronet City. I never would have imagined I'd ever at one point be vying for a seat on the Hutt Council of all things. If someone told me then that would happen in my future, I would have called them insane." he would chuckle slightly. "It's amazing how life can somehow spin in unexpected directions, right?" he would ask Parvis, silently wondering if he feels the same, or had the same happen to him.

Heh.

Calling Spectre sir would probably be something that Parvis would hold off on for as long as possible... though he might do something with it in the future if they were leading men or something. Something that small would do wonders for helping the chain of command in his opinion. He chuckled a little bit and gave the dapper man a sly wink,

"You got it... Lorda." he teased before grinning a little bit, "At least you don't have to change your codename like the Exiles do when they reach Warlord level."

He waved it off with a grin,

"Don't worry about it Spectre... you're the closest thing I've got to a friend in the entire Cartel. I'm here for you man." he assured the other man before smirking, "It's amazing what you can make life bend to do you mean, right? You've pushed it to fit what you want and that's commendable Spectre."

The Hutt Cartel Vigo chuckled at the other Vigo's quips. The last one stood out. The recently Warlords that have been popping up starting with Andraste have been changing their names, shedding their old identities cept for one so far. The funny thing is, Spectre more or less did that when he became a Vigo. "Well, as a Basadi I operated under my real name. Once I got the Vigo rank I became Spectre" he would then chuckle a bit as he would take a sip of his brandy. Then Parvis admitted that he was the closest thing he has to a friend, and Spectre feels the same more-or-less likewise. He isn't the criminal business to make friends or pals for life, but Parvis would be the closest. "Thank you, I appreciate that. You're probably the closest thing I haven't a real friend in the Cartel as well." he would then smile towards his fellow Vigo as Parvis made his remark about making life bend. "Couldn't have done it without you." He would say, Parvis has done a lot for him. "It is amazing what people can do if the put their minds to it." he would take a sip his drink, and then smile. "You know, I came into Cartel still wearing glasses. and then I finally got contacts after I became a Vigo" he would chuckle. "I see big things in your future as well Parvis. You can probably get on the Hutt Council as well if you keep doing what you to." He would nod his head in approval of his own words as he would earnestly say.

Yeah he had heard that Spectre had taken the title upon reaching the rank of Vigo. Parvis himself had thought about it but in the end he had ignored the urge. After all, his name was just one word anyway and was already beginning to get a reputation around it so why would he not want it to continue?

Plus he was terrible with cool sounding names so he would likely pick a really terrible one if he was honest with himself.

"Yeah well you managed to think of a cool one." he joked with the other vigo with a wink, "What would mine be? Cus I've got nothing... Parvis will do me for now. Not like I've got a family name they can use to track me or whatever."

Huh... weren't they a sight?

Two objectively successful young men and the closest thing that the two of them had to friends were each other and they were both closer to hyper-competent allies than anything else if they were being honest with themselves. Well... alright so maybe they were buds. That would be a new one for Parvis.

Parvis just smiled a little bit, shaking his head a little bit,

"I don't think so buddy." he paused as he thought about it for a moment before admitting, "I'm not much of a leader. I'm not some visionary like Nem'ro and I'm not as dedicated as you. To be honest Spectre - I think I'll be happy continuing what I'm doing. Being the facilitator that makes things happen for people like you."
