Coruscant was, in the sense of Aruetii, the
center of the Universe. It was a large world, nestled in the Core of the galaxy. It was filled with all forms of debauchery and Scum. And for rich men it was beautiful.

"So where do we go to spend our credits?"
Etr asked happily counting his Small share from our Job on Alsakan. His armor was white with a single green handprint over the Heart, though on the helmet he had left a small streak to show the black and orange petals from its previous owner.
"We'll be heading into the underworld. I have business with an arms dealer. I would like you stay to here and Guard the ship"
He frowned at that, The last job had been a dreadful bore, Transporting Riding animals to Alsakan... the Cargo hold still stunk with their dung even though we had spent a great deal of time cleaning it. The young mandalorian rose and saying nothing went to Tinker in his room.
We began to enter the Layers of the
Ecumenopolis, quickly dropping in numbers till we found the correct one with our Contact. It was a world within a world and here, in the Depths of coruscant one never knew what he'd find.

"Awright - hand em ovur!" An Orcolan man growled at a short Twi'Lekian woman who clutched her jewellery in her hands. With a sinister chuckle the large green skinned man removed a small Vibroshank, holding it near the woman threateningly. "Before I make yah!" Two more men surrounded the woman in the dark ally, a human and a Ryn. Both were rubbing their hands together eager to get their share of the woman's valuables. "Take them! Please just leave me alone!" She cried. With violent, greedy hands the Orcolan leader grabbed her jewels and snatched them from her. "We aughta teach you a lesson anyway, since it took ya so long." He grinned, as his companions began cracking their knuckles.

"Hey!" Kirby turned the corner into the entrance of the Allyway. He'd been following this trio of misfits for a while now, they had been getting up to all sorts of trouble and he had a feeling it was only gonna get worse. Looks like he was right. With the flick of his wrist he held a silver cylinder out to his side. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" As he challenged the gang he pushed a button and a bright red light filled the allyway with hope. A shimmering red blade of energy projected from his hilt as his lightsaber formed itself - and stabbed right into a dumpster beside him. He brought both hands onto the handle and held it beside him, blade slashing through the dumpser as he moved it leaving a glowing orange wound in its metal. "A Jedi perhaps?" He grinned.

"Uhhh.... no way boss you're on your own with this one I ain't messin' with no Jedi." The Human male turned and ran. "Cowurd!!" The Orcolan called after him and looked at the Ryn who remained. "Yor me new liutenant then." With a nervous gulp the Ryn nodded and looked back at Kirby. "Get 'em!" The Orcolan shouted and the pair ran at him.

Wait what?! Nobody had ever gotten past him getting the lightsaber out before! Normally that was where they all ran away or begged for forgiveness or something, they'd never actually challenged him bef-Oof! An Orcolan fist met Kirby in his gut. He slashed with his lightsaber and managed to nick the Ryn in the arm before one of their hands grabbed his wrist and the other kicked him to the ground, his ignited lightsaber leaving his hand and rolling across the ground. He looked at the Twi'Lekian woman while he got kicked repeatedly and called out to her

"GET HELP!"

"We got Slug throwers, Imperial Surplus, Republic surplus, CIS surplus.. we got blasters, Munitions and Vibroblades"
The rusted junk the Arms dealer was trying to pawn off was just sad. I had seen better in Back alley slums on nal hutta. The Trandoshan trader was neither deceiving nor convincing. I was thinking to settle on the best looking Dc-15s and a couple of Slug throwers a voice come calling from an Alley.
"Help! Please someone, they're killing him!"
The sound was genuinely distraught. I left the Arms dealer to see what was happening. A short green Twi'lek woman was crying and when she saw me beckoned
"Quickly please!"
I began to jog behind her till the sound of the conflict became clearer. The two thugs beating on the man were clearly local thugs. When they saw me the one whom I assumed was in charge laughed.
"Fake Jedi, now a fake mandalorian? You got a fake wookiee coming soon you sleemo?"
I stepped forward, My hand on the handle of the blade.
"Step away from the man. Or I'll-"
The Ryn laughed, cutting me off.
"You'll what? Hit me with your tin sword?"
I growled
"I'll remove your head from your shoulders."
The boss charged forward, obviously hoping to scare me off with his vibroshiv. I Drew My sword and first removed the offending hand with the first swipe . Then with the second I cut across his Abdomen, guts spilling out in front of him
The last I gave was a slash across his neck, which removed his head. His Underling looked on in horror. I stepped forward, over the dead human and towards the Ryn.
"You would be wise to step away and return whatever property was taken from this man. He's no longer fair game."
I don't know if it was shock or Instinct which caused him to charge me next. But regardless the first strike went from the Left shoulder to the lower right corner of his Abdomen. He screamed out in pain before I took his head only a second later. His body collapsed into a twitching heap as it's cells burned their last ATP. I took the items of jewelry the Ryn and boss had on hand and, returning them to their owner, received a grateful Kiss on the cheek of my helmet. The man in the fetal position seemed a little beat up. But he would live. I Knelt down to him;
"You should have no shame. You nearly saved that woman. It was-"
I saw the lightsaber, It sat with its red smoke emanating from the emitter from the previously used plasma blade. I picked it up
"Now where did you get this?"
I clicked the button to start the thing, a red blade came out screaming. To my ears it was as though the cry of great pain.

The rhythmic pounding of their boots hitting his arms and legs suddenly stopped - although the pain persisted. His ears were still ringing from when he'd been kicked to the ground and his ribs themselves felt as if they were constricting his chest. He remained in the fetal position for several seconds after they stopped before his muscles finally relaxed and allowed him to slowly extend his limbs once more. He sat up and put his weight on his hands. He was getting deja vu from the last time some pea-brained thugs had beat him senseless.

He was snapped out of his trance by a helmeted man suddenly kneeling down to eye-level with him. His voice was muffled at first but became clearer as he spoke and Kirby's ears stopped ringing. "You should have no shame. You nearly saved that woman." Kirby looked at him and rubbed under his nose with his fist and looked at his hand. Blood. He held two fingers on the bridge of his nose to try and stem the flow. His eyes re-focused and looked in the direction of his savior who was currently reaching for something.

When Kirby saw what he had in his hands his heart sank. "Now where did you get this?" And as if it was punctuating his sentence, the red blade of his Lightsaber burst forth, filling the allyway with a bright red light and a deep humming. Without hesitation, Kirby answered. "I'm a Jedi - I got it when I became a joined the Jedi organisation, how else do you get one?" He let go of his nose and slowly shuffled backwards, away from the thug's bodies. "Are they dead?"

The question seemed stupid since two of them did not have a head anymore. Kirby had seen dead people before but never with this much mess. What shocked him was his own reaction, he thought he would be disgusted - he knew he should be disgusted - but all he could do was think that they had it coming. "Thank you for saving me' the young man meant it 'Can I have my lightsaber back now?" He reached out and tried to take it.

He seemed like an ok guy, just trying to make his way in the galaxy. He dusted himself off as I inquired about the lightsaber. To which he seemed content to lie, not that much of a surprise within the core.
"I'm a Jedi - I got it when I became a joined the Jedi organisation, how else do you get one?"
I frowned at that lie. It seemed to put a cap on the conversation for me. Though he'd never see it through my visor. Knowing this I made it known in my tone.
"Two things: I don't like liars. And I don't like Dar'jetti. Sith. Red Blades are corrupted and used by them. So I'm going to ask again, Where did you get this item?"
He reached out to take it, though I closed it and would not return it until this question was answered.
"I need you to you answer my question. Are you a friend of the Dar'jettii? Where did you get this?"

Jedi's chest fell when the man called him a liar, before his brow furrowed in offense. "I'm not lying!" He then remembered that he did technically just lie, and loosened the cross look on his face. "...Mostly."

He didnt look the man in the eye. "I AM a Jedi.. I just didnt get to join their organisation." The man mentioned 'Dar'getty?' Kirby looked confused until the man translated. Sith? He'd heard of the sith but honestly he didn't know much, if anything, about what they actually were. "The color matters?" His eyebrow raised.

"Look, I'm not a dargetty or a sith or whatever I don't even know what those are, I told you - I'm a jedi"
He shifted his weight so that he was sitting on his ass rather than partially lying on the ground. "And I don't know how a weapon can be 'corrupted' it's just metal and parts - it doesn't seem corrupted to me." Corrupted tools? What was he talking about? Had he encountered a corrupted speeder or a corrupted fork?

He crossed his arms. It was weird seeing his lightsaber in somebody elses hands. It was his. "Can I please have it back now?" He felt like he was pleading. He honestly didn't know if he would be able to take it back from the man if he tried to keep it. He saw how he dealt with those thugs, he wouldn't stand a chance normally. He could maybe take him off guard with his Repulsor and snatch it while he was dazed. It wouldn't come to that though, Kirby hoped. Prayed, even.

He was somewhat like a child who had had his toy taken away. I did feel bad for the man as it seems he was very Attached to the blade. And indeed, it was a fine trophy.
"I AM a Jedi.. I just didnt get to join their organisation."
That lightened me up a little and I gave an understanding nod. It wasn't that he was a sith... or even really a jedi, he lacked their ability.
"You have a lot to learn regarding these Items and the people you are claiming to be part of. First of these is that the red crystal used in that lightsaber is not red. It in fact is a corrupted item by, what could colloquially be called magic for simplicity. And in this universe there are those who can tap into it and those who cannot. There is no shame in being either. A tool can easily be corrupted by the person using it. However in this case we are discussing more of a cursed object. "
I turned off the blade and returned it to its master.
"But a man who claims to be a jedi and owns a red saber can get himself into quite a bit of trouble down here. Because those colors do in fact matter, at least some of the time. And the idea that such a trophy wouldn't be sought after would be a bad one all of the time."
I Stood up and offered him my hand,
"If you'd like, I could train you to use that item. I am not A jedi, however my Clan is descended from Jedi and we have ways to help you as a swordsman, with or without their abilities. I would hate to see Sith gain it back. Perhaps you might even find a way to bring it to the jedi and undo the curse on its khyber crystal."
