Kaelen had spent several days in the wilderness training with several of his other Initiates and Knights, but they had come to the small town in preparation of heading back to the Jedi World of Dantooine.

They weren't leaving until tomorrow and been given leave to have some free time. His fellow Initiates scattered at the mention of free time, and Kaelen had been left alone. The young Jedi had not quite found his place back within the Order and often found himself alone. This didn't bother him as much as it might others.

Kaelen headed into town alone. While he was blind, he had been taught how to wield the Force to help him navigate, it caused him to take slow and deliberate steps. He listened to the sounds of the town bustling around him. He felt the all too familiar pang of anxiety he felt when around more than a handful of people, but he forced himself to continue.

He almost didn't realize the weak cough of the woman sitting on the side of the road. She had just asked several others for credits but all Kaelen could sense was the disgust from those who walked past her now that he was paying attention. He turned towards here and knelt down and held out several credits. Unsteady hands reached up to take the credits from.

"My name is Kaelen, do you mind if I sit down?" he said quietly.

As Caramon exited the establishment, a passerby knocked into him, spilling her belongings onto the ground. Being the kind person that he was, Caramon immediately bent down and started gathering the items, as much as he could as he apologized. She accepted, or it seemed that way to the young Jedi. Turning on his heels he started walking. Lightsaber cliped on his belt, the slow rhythmic sound of his breathing mask doing its job, Caramon dodged in and out of the crowd of sentients as he made his way to the space station where his small freighter was waiting for his return.

The town he was in was fairly small, shops with all sorts of goods lining the streets. Vendors reaching out to every passerby, trying to promote how their product was the best on the market and if you did not buy it you were a fool. 'Some things never change' Caramon thought to himself. It seems every planet that the young man visited had this same type of market.

As he continued his short journey, there was an evergrowing presence that made itself more clear the further he walked. As he walked he could feel the life force of all manner of species, but this was different, stronger somehow. He had felt this feeling before in the presence of his late father and he knew exactly what it was. Finally laying his eyes upon two beings sitting on the sidewalk, Caramon knew he had to meet this person. The young Jedi stepped off the permacrete walkway and started to cross the road, heading straight for the couple.

Kaelen sat beside the woman, leaning his back against the dirty wall behind them. They both sat in silence for a moment, Kaelen reaching out towards the woman with the Force. He wasn't all that great of a fighter, but his blindness had given him an advantage in using the Force to sense others.

He could sense the woman's anguish of something. Finally breaking the silence, he pulled a small piece of fruit out of his bag and handed half of it to the woman. She reached for it, and thanked him once again.

The exchange went silent again before the woman broke the silence. "I am not here asking for money for food..." she said pausing, the hesitation in her tone apparent "Its to rescue my son." she said finally. "He got caught up with the wrong group of people trying to support us and no owes them money, which they are making him work to try and pay it off, but they keep raising the amount. I am sick and not able to earn enough to help..." she said growing quiet "...This was the only thing I can think of."

Kaelen sat and pondered the words for a moment. He wanted to help, but he knew the Knights accompanying them would most likely disapprove of him taking action without their permission. After a few seconds of thought, he knew he had to offer to help.

"Maybe I can help him get him out of there, and get you both somewhere safe." he said trying to hide the uncertainty from his voice. "I couldn't ask..." she said beginning to protest but Kaelen cut her off, with a more certain tone "No. I want to help." he said.

With that, the matter was settled. She began giving him directions on where they would find the home of the local crime boss who was keeping her son.

Maw'doc was walking in the town with his coat on. 'All of them unpure' he thought and he was saddened. As he walked he saw a women begging for credits and began walking over to her to hand her the spare credits he had, but a man had beat him to it and to his surprise the man sat beside her and spoke to her. 'maby he is pure' he thought and he continued walking towards the women. as he walked towered them he noticed someone else walking in the same direction as him. ' i hope this dues not go badly' he thought thinking about his old masters lessons about how to avoid pointless fighting at all cost. He arrived at the couple and asked he man "What are you doing?" He hoped the man would be honest and say he was helping the women. As he spoke he looked the man in the eyes and kept his face still as stone. When he was done speaking he put his hands to his sides so that the man and the women would not think that he was threatening them.

As Caramon approached the two beings, they seemed to be deep in conversation. A look of concern, yet hope etched its way onto the womans face. As the Jedi Knight walked towards the two beings of interest, his robes rustling, Caramon folded his hands behind his back. Now he was close enough to hear part of the conversation. "Maybe I can help him get him out of there, and get you both somewhere safe."

As the two stood up and started to walk away from where they were previously sitting, Caramon walked up in stride with the two so he was now walking on the other side of the woman. She looked at Caramon with a look of shock on her face as to who this newcomer was. "Hello. I am sorry to interupt I couldn't help but over hear something about getting you to safety. Im sorry where are my manners. I am Caramon Brightblade." The young Jedi nodded to the man and stopped in his tracks for a second, finally noticing that he was blind. Quickly regaining his composur he caught up with the two. As the three walked, Caramon noticed bystanders and onlookers staring at them, wondering what these two men were doing with this old woman who looked like a beggar. Not wanting to draw too much attention the Jedi just notted to passerby's as they continued to walk.

"Is everything ok? Is there anything that I may be of assistance" As Caramon walked he could feel the presence of another being not far behind. What was it about these two. Caramon did not sense evil but still was aware of the person. "Do not be alarmed but it seems as if we have company. I do not know they are or why they are following you".
