As her first class with a lightsaber, and force abilities, Saana pushed aside the insecure feelings that wanted to creep in. Other than possibly Anara, the rest seemed to have come into the class with previous training and skill of some sort. She wanted to do just as well as them, to show that she was capable and truely did hold the potential that Master Kai had told her she had. Thus far, Telekinesis was the most difficult for her to try, but the Togruta continued to attempt it for the remaining time that Master Kai gave them. This went not so badly as she did eventually come to being able to lift it up off the ground a few feet, forgoing attempting the more elaborate tricks with the remote to focus herself on that basic movement.

Whether it was through her natural awareness through magnetic energies to detect the motion of objects, a warning through the Force or a combination of both, her remote abruptly drops to the floor as her eyes open and she leans back, letting her hands come to rest on the floor behind her and support her weight. Anara's remote passes in front of her to clatter onto the floor on her other side, instead of smacking into the side of her head. Straightening, she reached over and grabbed the remote which she offers back to Anara. "Here you go."

Eventually, the exercise ended and it was time to move onto the next skill. The ability to absorb or dissipate energy fascinated her and Saana watched with great interest as Master Kai demonstrated and followed up by giving his instructions. They had several seconds to get themselves ready for the remotes to fire and she took advantage of it. She closed her eyes and put her hand out in front of her. She focused on the energies of the Force that she had become easily able to see when she focused on them. She then moved and nudged them around to create a buffer of glowing white energy around her hand. She waited for the little time she had left, then her remote fired. Saana had to move her hand just slightly to block the bolt, focusing on the energy around her hand absorbing the bolt from the remote into itself. This made her excited, a little too much so as she failed to catch the next bolt which stung the palm of her hand. Clenching her teeth, and mentally scolding herself, she pushed the stinging pain aside and focused on the remote once more.

Tutaminus was an interesting skill that would be brought forward as Kade, deciding to be a show off would play with two remotes simultaneously. Throwing them around, making them dance about and do all kinds of acrobatic manoeuvres just for the hell of it. Sure, he was a bit advanced in that area but Kade did love to show it off at times. Now came to the fun part as Kade would let them float off and take a position in front of him. It would begin simply, Kade would start to focus energy into the palm of his hand as he would raise it up and in front of the remote, it fired and the effect had no effect and he would curse like a pirate in a colourful variety of tongues in a manner that'd make lead paint peel as the Kushari shook his hand about. As he'd recover from that he would speak up to Khivas "My mentality has no issues, considering how I was raised, who I was raised around and my life experiences!" He'd protest as he would focus again at the remote and it would fire.

The second shot stung like mad but didn't have as much of the sting as it did before, he still shook his hand and hissed out something profane young padawans shouldn't hear, especially since it was in Mando'a rather than basic. "I have flaws! I accept that! I have a short fuse which as a species thing I cannot help, but I am a soldier and someone who values life above all else. Even if it's saving an enemy from a threat greater than the two of us even if it puts me and mine at risk. I am prepared to preserve life even if it means taking one or giving my own so many more may be spared." He would add as the Kushari swapped to his left hand. Focusing now intensely on the effect at hand, he would take a breath and begin to ignore the pain that throbbed through his hand. Slowly, carefully he would begin to close his eyes and speak a small, well practised phrase. One he had used before going into a warzone, it was in Kushaa'vo though so understanding it was difficult at best.

His hand would glow brighter as another bolt would come at him and he'd absorb it into his form. A grin would form on Kade's face at that. "I did it!"

Nos remained seated as he listened to Master Kai, and resumed once more to try and levitate the remote. Letting himself sink once more into the force, he finally grasped around the lifeless implement and slowly, carefully, began to levitate it. He strengthened his focus as he opened his eyes and saw the deactivated training remote hovering a few feet above the ground in front of him. Smiling, he slowly extended an arm and let the training remote drop into his waiting hand with a small thud.

After he had completed that exercise, he went on to join the other students with Tutaminas. He had not practiced this much at all with his former master, but they had trained in an extremely basic form by training to resist the shocks of a relatively harmless breed of jellyfish on Glee Anselm. If he could do it with a tiny blob of nothing, why couldn't he do it with this?
Setting himself up and reactivating the training remote, Nos once again let himself open up to the force, but kept his awareness regarding the remote hovering almost menacingly two feet away from where he was sitting on his knees, right arm outstretched with his palm open.

*ZAP*

Nos recoiled his hand in pain and grimaced at the first shot the remote gave. He shook his head and looked determinedly at the small orb of frustration. He focused on the force, and focused it around his palm, feeling the surreal presence of the force silently and invisibly swirl around his hand. A second bolt came, streaked towards his hand and dispersed in a small flash of light into his palm.

This wasn't so bad, Nos thought to himself with a grin.

Tal focused himself and tried to stay calm, focusing with little amount of the force he could into his hand. He could feel the force envelop and freely wrap around it, almost feeling like it was armor with a mind of it's own. Within seconds a blast was fire and upon seeing the flash his hand instinctively moved to block it. The force managed to absorb it, and disperse the energy throughout his arm. Upon feeling this tingling sensation, Tal began to wonder if he could use this as a conduit of sorts.

His short thoughts were interrupted as yet another blast flashed before him, and just like last time he absorbed the blast into his arm and felt the same sensation as before. Yes, he felt like he could actually rebound the energy and use it to strengthen the force into his hand. Yet another blast had fired, only to fare as well as the others, only this time he actually used the force to rebound the energy into his hand, only when he moved to reinforce the small collection of force energy in his hand he the force actually went past his hand, sending out a wave of kinetic energy. The surprise from letting the energy go accidentally and hearing the small droid bang against the wall actually send him flying back a little out of shock, landing on the floor with a slight thud. After picking himself up and dusting himself off he examined the droid to make sure it was alright. Everything seemed to be in order from the outside and after looking up it seemed that the droid had fired another blast, but before it could meet it's mark it looked like the wave of force energy actually deflected it a little.

Tal was a little red in the face and just simply stared off into space a little, almost in pure disbelief of what happened a few seconds ago. "Uh...oops." He said with a slightly worried tone in his voice before clearing his throat to ease the tension.

Vergil was a little more practiced in this art than any of his other skills. He'd had several opportunities during the close calls with Master Yu to have used this skill previously. He wasn't as proficient as some abilities that he'd read about, the ability to completely absorb a lightning bolt or even a lightsaber, but he could stop the stinging blast of the remote. So it wasn't that much of a surprise that he was able to catch most of the bolts that the remote fired.

Something that he did take away from his training today was that he was a little more in touch with his connection to the force. He could now almost sense the moment the remote was going to fire, as if he felt the thing shiver through the ocean of energy. He wasn't quite up to knowing which direction the shot would come from, but it was enough to have a generalized area to protect. In fact, he was receiving way fewer stings from this exercise than from the lightsaber blocking from earlier, something that he took much pride in.

Vergil found that the trick for him was to dissipate the energy just enough that whatever remained did negligible damage or could be ignored completely. He found it worked similar to how plastiod absorbed the energy of a blaster bolt or durasteel distributed a kinetic round. It's job wasn't to stop the attack, but merely slow it down enough to dampen the destructive energy's. Something that was evident in this application.

Once he was satisfied with his abilities at this novice level, he cranked it up a little. More stinging points were able to find their mark, but Vergil found himself enjoying the exercise.
