"Only two?" Khivas chimed sarcastically at Kai, remembering that lightsaber practice was something he performed daily, and he usually used droids and remotes in tandem to maintain his skills, and battle to hone them. "But I suppose as a demonstration, I could show off a bit."

Stepping off to a spot still clear of students, Khivas took Master Kai's advice and activated two remotes, both on their highest setting, and laying down the training Saber in lieu of his real one, Khivas took a deep breathe and initiated the training ritual.

The remotes sprang to life, zipping and zooming around the Knight in a dizzying pattern of speedy circles and sudden bursts of speed. The Force flowed through Khivas though, the mystical energy enhancing his body to be beyond levels most mortal beings would never reach, making him react and block each and every single blast the remotes fired at him with relative ease, and with the use of Force Barrier, Khivas was able to guard against the stinging rays of the ones his sword would be too slow to reach in time.

After a few moments of the dazzling display, Khivas stopped and let the Force empty out of his physical body, going back to his "resting" state. Eyeing the students still practicing, he decided to make note of Master Kai's teachings, saying "And that ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when you let the Force flow through you like a river. Let it take hold of you, and in turn it will let you take hold of it, just as the master said."

Saana glanced briefly at the other Togruta padawan, then eyed the remote carefully. This was a new sort of exercise for her and one she was not sure yet how she would accomplish. The blue blade of the training lightsaber that Kai had given her hummed with life as she watched the remote. Then it began moving. It was not the best experience she has had at first as tiny green bolt after tiny green bolt gets past her blade.

Each energy bolt that struck stung. It was not overly painful, but enough to cause annoyance and frustration after repeated times. At one point, Saana lowered her blade and stepped back from the remote in an attempt to regain herself. It had quickly become frustrating, but she did not want to give up. She took a few deep breaths and tried to relax, to concentrate. When she returned to her efforts, Saana did continue to get struck by the bolts, however, it was not as frequently. It helped her confidence once she began to be able to block at least some of them.

Knowing that she was sure to fail so many times and cause great embarrassment to herself, Anara slowly raised her blade to what she thought might have been a fighting stance. Even on the remote's lowest difficulty was she being struck by bolts so many times that it could've been considered humorous. After a minute of non-stop stinging she lower her blade and gave up, completely exhausted.

Holding his lightsaber in the Ataru defence stance, Nos closed his eyes briefly and tried to let the force flow through him. It began to work, until a stinging laser hit him in the chest. Grunting in pain, Nos tried to focus on the task at hand while keeping his mind open to the force. It was hard work, trying to deflect laser bolts. Knowing his chosen style wasn't the best fit against lasers, he went back to the basic lightsaber techniques all padawans learnt.

The next few minutes were a painful ordeal of being stung, deflecting a few with the most basic of lightsaber skills, and trying to open his mind to the force. All the while being under the scrutiny of a master. Waiting for a few others to finish, Nos lowered his blade and deactivated it.

OOC: Sorry I did not post! Got caught up with Fondor and focusing on that X.x

IC:

Kade had focused quietly through the meditation, listening to the pulses of the life forces that existed within the ship. Some Jedi could be felt more strongly than others within the ebb and flow, though this didn't always correlate to their individual strength in manipulating the force. After all, there are those who were absolutely bursting with life but were comparably weak in the force. Then came to the training remotes when Kade slowly broke out of his trance and came to, he liked the idea of trying to replicate this sensation and sensations of the force through the training remotes and so the Kushari fuzzball got up and activated a remote. He drew his greatsaber and held it in two handed grip. Tail twitching about slowly he'd raise that beautiful Viridian blade up and took a breath. Focusing on the remote only to get stung in the ass by the sneaky little thing! He leapt forward and rubbed his backside from the sting only to get shot again in the shoulder!

Kade shot it a look and quickly deflected a shot away with his blade that was intended for the nose, a real deal breaker in any situation for him! He could feel the way the force would pulse slightly as the Remote began to charge and fire. It wasn't an immediate effect though, rather it happened sometimes and sometimes not. That or he just didn't feel it when it came. Kade figured he was taking to much time trying to -focus- and -think- on the whole thing. He took a moment to let it all go as the Remote zipped around with that hissing repulsor-lift engine working to move it about. Don't think about it. Just feel. If you freeze, don't forget to breathe. The next bolt that came and Kade's instincts kicked in, the sudden ebbing pulse of the force followed a few seconds before allowing him to deflect the shot to the ground. Kade didn't even watch the remote at this rate, your eyes could deceive you after all.

As soon as the words, "Training remote" left the master voice, Vergil sighed. He had never been any good against remotes and he'd been practicing for some time. Vergil left his blade at his side, since it lacked the training setting. A handy feature that Master Yu had failed to mention when he began his journey in building his lightsaber.

Vergil watched the Jedi Knight begin his demostration carefully as he selected an available training blade. It was a magnificent display of skill that he hoped to achieve someday. But Vergil realized that he would probably need to master practicing against the remote first. Perhaps even one day Vergil could master Shien, as his previous master had.

The remote went flying as soon as Vergil activated it. He had set it at the lowest setting since he knew what was about to happen. Readying the unfamiliar blade in his initial stance, blade pointed down at an angle, Vergil waited. He felt himself sinking into ocean again, yet it felt different. This time he could pick out the others in the room and even managed to feel the remote. It was it's own little force of energy in the ocean that Vergil could feel.

However, that didn't stop the first bolt from catching him nearly off guard. He felt a small change in the current in the ocean right before the remote fired. Vergil tried to intercept it with his blade, but missed by centimeters. He hissed quietly as the bolt stung his left arm, but tried to refocus. The sting as well as the sudden change in his perception through Vergil off. The second and third shots easily found their marks.

Vergil cursed quietly and tried getting back into the motion of things. If only these were dummies, Vergil grumpily thought.

Tal nodded at the master's instructions and watched how the experienced knight used both the lightsaber and the force as one, showing that there can be harmony between the two disciplines. He readied his saber in the basic Soresu stance that he had learned from a brief study. He set the settings to medium blaster speed to give himself a little bit of a push to test his defenses. At first he had felt a few potent stings of blaster fire, but he eventually got the hang of it, managing to deflect a few shots in a row while letting the force flow through his actions. Although he wondered if he could handle a higher setting, however much to his dismay he could only deflect a few blasts at high speed before promptly getting hit left and right from a few bursts before turning off the simulation.

Much to the young master's pleasure, Khivas ended up using a rather dazzling display of the Force and of the blade. It was a good example of the possibilities one had while using the Force. Nodding towards Khivas after the knight gave a demonstration of what one could do while relying on the Force, Kai looked towards the rest of them. "Now that you've all seen what a knight can with their lightsaber and the Force, I hope you all have an idea of wait to aim for, what to... aspire to do someday. Now, have at it!"

Watching the students with a passive expression on his face, Kai studied the Padawans practice their basic lightsaber drills with mixed results. It was about what he had expected, less than what he had hoped. Truth be told, Kai had hoped they had all been able to get the basics down perfectly the first time. He knew that it was unrealistic, but he had hoped. First he moved to the new Togruta Anara as she seemed to be the one who was having the most trouble. "First day?" He asked with a smile on his face. Focusing some of his Force power into Anara to heal her. He could sense that she was frustrated maybe even doubting herself. Jovially, he continued, "Don't get caught up in the possibility of something or your self-doubt. Simply let go of such things, and believe you can, believe that the Force can do it for you. Close your eyes. Forget about what you see, focus more on how you feel. What do your instincts tell you? Focus on those, listen to them, don't listen to anything else. Quiet your mind, act... unconsciously."

Next he walked up to his Padawan Saana, giving her a pat on the back he nodded approvingly. "Good, Saana, good. Now, same thing as your new friend. Close your eyes, and focus on your instincts. Let the Force flow through you. Let it guide your actions. This is your first lesson in trusting in the Force, my Padawan, in order to trust you need to give up control."

Seeing Kade do fairly well, Kai nodded at the large cat, giving him a praising compliment as he walked by. "Keep it up, Kade, you're doing well. Remember to rely on the Force and you'll make it to knight very soon." Continuing on he grabbed the attention of the rest of the Padawans present seeing that they all needed a hand in the same area: trusting the Force. "Alright, Padawans, as some of you may heard, I want you all to close your eyes and use your senses, your trust and guidance of the Force to direct your blade. Don't doubt yourselves, just so your best and believe in the Force, believe it can move mountains for you. Go ahead, and give it a shot."

Kai would let the students work with their remotes for a little while longer still. After several minutes, whether there was any improvement or not he would break the group for their next lesson. Taking a deep breath, the young Jedi Master clapped his hands together loudly to get everyone's attention. "Alright, I hope you've all learned something so far. If you have you can practice more later and improve. If not you're more than welcome to talk to me after we end here today! Now, next lesson we're going to try and levitate our remotes!" With a wave of his hand, Kai deactivated the remotes of each student. "Let's see how well you all do! First things first, start by sensing and feeling your remote through the Force."

Anara closed her eyes and relaxed as the master had instructed. She stood there in complete serence silence, like in a trance. She had no idea minutes later that they were supposed to be moving on to something new. She had never felt so at peace than she had now, with the Force.

Saana had given Anara an empathetic look just before Kai had walked up to the other Togruta, and then to her, giving her the same advice. Khivas had put on a dazzling display, one that she knew she had no hope of duplicating today in this class, but it had been wonderful to watch. The possibilities were encouraging for her. It showed, somewhat, in the second round of attempts. Though she had not deflected all of the stinging green bolts, she had successfully deflected, or dodged, the majority of them.

It was not until Master Kai shut the remotes off that she relaxed the training blade and soon deactivated the blade. Her yellow gaze passed from Anara and soon over the other padawans in the room before her attention turned to Master Kai as he began to speak. Her brow furrowed a little as she studied the shut down remote when Kai informed them that they would be next attempting to move the remote with the Force. Taking a breath, and then releasing it, she closed her eyes to reach into the Force once again. This time looking for the presence of the remote instead of something that was alive.

"Thank you, Master Sera." Khivas said while giving a bow to him and the class. "He's right, letting the Force take over usually leads to fantastic abilities, but you still have to practice daily to get there. What you saw was the tip of an iceberg twelve years in the making, so don't ever feel like you're not improving fast enough, these things take time."

When the topic of the lesson switched to levitating remotes, Khivas knew this would be another area he would excel in, and rather than sitting around lifting little machines into the air, Khivas figured he'd aid the Master once again and help hand out lessons to the Padawans who might be needing a word of advice or two while trying to levitate these items. Thus, there he sat, waiting to see who would able to lift with ease, and who would need help.

After listening to Master Kai, Nos reached for his remote, turned it off, and sat it down in front of him as he went into a lotus position on the floor. After he saw the rest of the padawans beginning to arrange themselves and turn their focus to their remotes, the Nautolan closed his eyes and once more began to open himself up the force.

Just like before, he relaxed; letting himself watch out for the elusive "ribbon" that led to the full spiritual realm of the force. He sensed the others around him as he had before, but this time he searched for a specific object, the remote which his memory told him was on the ground right in front of him. On Glee Anselm, it had been easy to sense his surroundings, as the oceans of his home world were rich with life; but this was not home, and in the place of coral formations and schools fish was the cold, hard metal walls of the ship, and the damned remote.

After her experience with meditating with the Force, Anara was more than glad to start levitating the remotes. Although it took her a few tries, she was able to lift the remote into the air for a few seconds and was more than happy with her success.

Kade settled in to meditate with the rest of them, letting his senses expand and feel what was around him. The pulse and ebb of the life that inhabited the ship made his spine tingle. Though the meditation didn't last long when the teacher brought up training remotes and basic lightsaber skills. Kade with a big grin on his face got up, grabbed his greatsaber and headed over to where the remotes were and picked his own out. He switched the remote on and it registered him as a target and followed him out to the training floor.

Kade took up a stance with his lightsaber, a simple one with the blade held high and ready for them. The first bolt came and Kade deflected it with his viridian lightsaber, it was easy but he could also feel it. Rather Kade took up a different posture his blade held in a high guard posture with a single hand with the blade pointing to the side, with his body in a half twist whilst his free hand swept down infront of him. Kade would open himself up to the force, letting every ebb and motion flow into him. Colouring it a bit with the enjoyment and thrill of beating the challenge presented.

Despite the problems that Vergil was experiencing blocking the remote's shots, He felt a little more confident in his abilities. He'd gotten a better feel for the force in the earlier exercise and that alone made the class worth attending. Even now, Vergil could feel the residual effects from the meditation earlier. He'd wished that it would've helped him block the remotes though. Vergil unconsciously rubbed the spots that we're still stinging.

Vergil set aside the training blade that he'd picked up and settled on the floor, cross-legged in front of his remote. Master Kai said to practice lifting the remote using the force. Telekinesis was something that he's practiced occasionally and found to be a fickle skill. He could either do it or he couldn't, the latter of course frustrated him. But today was a day that he could do it.

This time, the sensation wasn't so much a sinking feeling as sensing the currents around him. In the force he could feel the others reaching out to their own remotes like he was getting ready to do. After a moment, he found the echo of the spherical device in the ocean of energy. With an outstretched hand, Vergil began to grip the device in his mind. On the mat, the device shuddered as if sensing Vergil's excitement. After a moment, the training remote wobbled and lifted a few inches before hovering there.

Tal shut off the remote and sat the remote down before listening to master Sera. He nodded and closed hi eyes before focusing on the force , feeling how it connected him to the rest of the living beings around him. He slowly moved his hand outward to the remote on the floor and focusing on it. Slowly he could feel the force build up around him as the remote rose into the air and into his hand. After opening his eyes a satisfied grin spread across his face and tried to see how long he could keep it in the air.

Kade shut off his lightsaber after the basic deflection training, Kade caught the remote and sat down, holding it gently as it squirmed he turned off the droid and got comfortable sitting on the floor. He'd grin a bit and close his eyes, focusing the force around himself and then projected it out to the remote and slowly began to lift it. His hand would reach out and almost cup it as if he were handling the real thing. The force an extension of his arm and in turn hand to begin lifting it up and manipulate it in the air. Telekinetics was an easier thing to accomplish over other more delicate or tougher things to work.

(OOC: Sorry about the delay, life got kind of crazy. Due to the length of this thread, I'm going to cover tutaminis for the class, and once everyone has that I'm going to call it. If anyone has questions or wants more advanced training feel free to ask.)

The young Jedi Master watched everyone as they practiced with lifting their remotes. It took the newer Padawans a little while before they managed to move the remotes before them, if only barely. Kai would let them practice a little longer as they tried to get the hang of it. He noticed that Saana was a little slower than the rest, but Kai also realized that not all Jedi were capable of using telekinesis as easily or as naturally as others. Some couldn't use it all if he remembered his history. Walking over to the knight Khivas, Kai remarked, "What do you think? How do you think they're doing for their first time?" He motioned to the group minus Kade who clearly had some more experience with the Force. "Do you think you have any tips you can give them?"

Kai would let Khivas make any remarks or suggestions to the class before adding, "I want everyone to take about another ten minutes or so and really focus on moving your remote before we move on. If you think you have the hang of lifting it up, try moving it from hand to hand or throwing it up in the air and using the Force to catch it before it hits the ground. And if you're an over achieving show off you can try it with two remotes." Kai smiled at the class, "Go ahead, see what you can do, try and push yourselves."

After the ten minutes were up, Kai would have the class put their remotes down on the floor before activating them all again. "Alright students, stand up, time to learn the basics of Tutaminis." Looking around at the Padawans he continued, "Alright, Tutaminis, or the ability to absorb energy with the Force is one of our essential powers as a Jedi. It can help protect us from danger like blaster bolts. Some incredibly advanced uses allow the practitioner to absorb and deflect lightsaber blades or even Force Lightning with only their hands. Now, I must emphasize that these are only uses by true Masters of the power, so don't try something like that for many, many, years. For now, we'll start small with absorbing the stun beams from the training remotes."

Kai reached out into the Force and activated a nearby remote. Drawing the Force into his hands the Master extended an arm and waited for the remote to fire. When it did, Kai moved his hand to intercept, blocking the bolt and completely dispersing its energy harmlessly. Looking back to the class, Kai explained, "Alright, I want you all to remember to draw the Force into your hands, focus it right above your palms. Focus your minds into having the Force absorb all energy that is fired at it. Receive the energy, then have the Force disperse it harmlessly through your body, or repulse it outwards if it's too much. Now line up and start focusing, the remotes will begin firing in thirty seconds. Just do your best, and if you get a little stun try and push through the pain!"

Anara listened to Master Sera's instructions and used the Force to slowly lift the remote into the air. It wobbled for a minute before she was finally able to keep it steady. She was a bit nervous to move it from side to side and dropped it a couple of times. She didn't get annoyed or frustrated but rather glad that she was able to lift it a little bit faster with each try until eventually she was able to sway it around, showing off.

She got a little bit too proud of herself and accidentally made it fly towards Saana. If she didn't move at would hit in the side of her face.

After that event played out she would then attempt to absorb the stun blasts from the remote using her outstretched hand. She wasn't particularly sure if what she was doing would work considering she had never even heard of this trick. What she hadn't counted on was that the constant dropping of the remote on the floor had caused it to change the blast's intensity and the first bolt that ringed form it knocked Anara out cold.

Master Kai's question rang in Khivas' ears for a moment, taking time to sink in and let the Knight contemplate an answer, and when the answer itself was formulated, Khivas would finally speak. "Obviously Kade is quite capable of handling himself with a variety of weapons and the basics of the Force. It's his mentality that sometimes worries me, but he did come to us over the Sith via choice, so there's that, I suppose. As for the other Padawans...." He said as he shifted his stance and took a breathe, crossing his arms, "As for the others, they all hold potential and each one has a unique strength that's all theirs, and while it's obvious they all need practice, they're much better than many others who have come along this far. Take Tal for instance," The Knight said as he motioned to the Padawan holding a remote in the air with relative ease, "With practice he'd actually be really good with a lightsaber, but it's apparent his skill might lie better with the Force itself. Then you have Saana, looks to be great with a saber, but clearly has issues using the Force in the basic ways, but that's also not to unheard of. Give 'em time, and I'm sure they'll all show us what they're capable of. Although, I will say this: do not send them to war yet, that they are not ready for."

Once the words were done flowing from his mouth and all the Padawans has finished their lesson involving Telekinesis, Master Kai moved the class onwards to Tutaminis, something Khivas actually needed a good amount of practice in, even if his skills with the technique were somewhat proficient after taking a class specifically tailored to the technique. "Welp, practice makes perfect." The Knight said as he took his spot next to the other students, this lesson marking him on similar plains as the others.

He listened to the instructions given by tje Young Master, Khivas readied himself for the initial shock, and when it came, Khivas felt through the Force and "saw" the bolt of energy coming at him, and using the lessons Zabic had given him, he was able to absorb the blast and disperse it, past lessons paying off.

Still though, just because it looked easy doesn't mean it was, and Khivas would take the next moment to pause himself and take a breather, resting as he watched the others practice, ready to help them should they need it.
