The Challenge of Sith

Arkus stood facing the door to the Arena. Any minute now, and Shroud would walk through that door. The lights would flash, a bell would ring, and the match would begin. He grabbed his lightsaber, and ignited it. The glow of the red blade made him feel stronger, more alive.

He could feel the force flowing through his veins, and his blood coursing through him. He was ready for the match. And just when he became tired of waiting, he sensed Shroud approaching the door.

Arkus laughed under his breath. "Heh. Let's do this..."

 

[Shroud]

Shroud walked silently through the door with his arms folded. He looked at his opponent and faced away from him and pulled out his dual bladed lightsaber. He said to Arkus, "Come on Acolyte, I'll even let you make the first move", as he waited patiently for Arkus to make a move.

Arkus pulled out his other lightsaber. Zoom. ignited. He laughed at his Zabrak Opponent. "You speak down on me by calling me Acolyte. yet you are only a mere recruit!" Arkus brought the will of the force to his palm and used it to push his opponent back and onto the ground. He laughed again, and when the Zabrak got back on his feet, Arkus stuck his lightsabers in behind him while taking a leap into the air.

 

[Shroud]

Shroud stood up after being hit. Shroud pulled out his lightsaber as both parts of it glowed a pitch black blade. He then said to Arkus, "I am no mere recruit, Acolyte. I was trained by the mistress of fire, Circe, and she is most likely on the levels of a Sith lord". Shroud then ran around to the opposite side of the arena and shot force lightning straight at Arkus.

Arkus threw up his lightsabers in front of him. The Sith Lightning was being blocked by his blade, but he could still feel the force of the lightning. "You simply forget that your Master is dead! Anyone who can't keep themselves alive is weak! You were trained by a failure to the Sith Order. I am being trained by the great Master Drenn Kerstasus. I am a true Sith, and I will rise to the great title of Darth!"

When the lightning stopped, Arkus jumped to Shroud and swung his lightsabers in a flurrying motion. "Give up weakling. You are no match for me! I am holding back, because I don't want to be executed for accidently killing you in a non-Deathmatch battle."

 

[Shroud]

Shroud jumped to the side avoiding the lightsaber. "Pathetic, you let your emotions control you blade. A true warrior would know how to control them in battle", Shroud said walked over to his oppoent and swiped at the opponent's legs.

Arkus jumped over the lightsaber. "You call me Pathetic? You are Pathetic. You sound like a weak little Jedi. Always trying to be wary of emotions, even though they fuel our power!" Arkus force gripped his opponent and lifted him in the air. "You should be banished from the Sith Order!" Arkus released him, dropping him to the floor. Arkus held his blades at his opponent's throat. "Your move, recruit..."

 

[Shroud]

Shroud saw an opening while he was on the floor and used a force lightning which hit Arkus dead on forcing him backwards. Shroud said to him as he was shocking Arkus, "Fighting with your emotions leaves clear openings. If you only use power during a fight, your opponent can take advatange and easily dodge your moves. I'm starting to doubt that you're even worth fighting, because currently I'm not even using half off my power on you."

Arkus broke free of the lightning. He used the force and pulled for his opponents lightsaber. It came to his hand and Arkus kicked Shroud to the ground. "Well... look who has no weapon..." Arkus used force lightning on his foe. Arkus laughed maniacally. His eyes started to turn a shade of yellow as he grew closer to the dark side.

 

[Shroud]

Shroud jumped out of the way and pulled out his Sith War Blade and said, "With your ignorance, you neglected to notice that I have two weapons at my disposal." Shroud the slashed at Arkus' hands with his sith war blade.

Arkus fell backwards. He managed to avoid loosing a hand, but was at risk of loosing. He scooted back, then leaped up swing his blade over his head to hit his foe. "Regardless of how many weapons you have, I cannot be beaten!" Arkus looked into Shroud's eyes, full of rage. He hated Shroud. It turned out that Shroud was a tougher foe that Arkus had expected. Arkus laughed. His other lightsaber had been deactivated and pressed onto the stomach of his foe. Arkus' thumb crept closer and closer to the activation button. "But I do still admire your strength. You will make a good apprentice when I become a Sith Crusader. Ha!"

 

[Shroud]

Shroud dropped his blade and grabed the hand that Arkus put blade up to his stomache. Shroud spun around with the wrist then all of the sudden SNAP, he had broken Arkus' wrist. Shroud smiled as he said, "Even if I lose, I hope you like your going away present". Shroud then kicked Arkus' legs out from underneath him as he laughed and stepped back a few feet. "Do you submit yet?"

OOC: According to RP rules, I have won. You forgot my above head strike, and you god modded my wrist. I had fun though.

OOC: Ok, you win. Then again, it kind of would be impossible for one to jump up and put a blade against someone and a blade above someone's head without the person reacting at all towards it, especially if the person is either faster or the same speed if neither person has force speed. I could also point out a few more times where you were on either the brink of god modding, or you did god mod, but I'll let them slide.

OOC: The God Modding Doesn't matter if it is with force powers. Can't really avoid them except for Sith Lightning. But I didn't break your wrist or anything. The point is that you forgot the attack, and in doing so you were beaten. So really there is nothing to 'let slide.' I should let the wrist slide if anything.

 

[Shroud]

Your final move that won you the match would've been easily avoided. Another thing, of you would've attempted to grab Shroud as you Dodd earlier, he would've probably either cut yOur arm off or used a force power. Need I say more examples?

Not possible even with the force. You're saying Arkus can get up, jump above Shroud, come down, and press a lightsaber up to Shroud's stomache without him having a chance to move? Last time I checked, the speed of each of our characters is equal and neither has force speed, so therefore Shroud would've been easily able to avoid you even coming close, but your post technically states that he just stood there. This is the problem in very long posts in an rp battle, because the opponent tries to make the opponent do specific moves when they would've done something else in the first place.

I see nothing of you saying that you gripped me with the force with that post. If you grab somebody, you must give them a post to react or else you're controlling what the person does again, in which the roleplayer wouldn't have allowed it.

I see nothing of force pull nor telekinesis in your profile, therefore it would've been impossible for you to have done that. The most you could've done is push it out of Shroud's hands in which he could've actually picked up his lightsaber. Another thing, you can't kick someone across from the room therefore you're implying that he would've had to have completely stood still for that to work. You also stated that you're holding Shroud's lightsaber, which is a double sided saber, which would be extremely hard to hold in 1 hand and a different lightsaber in the other, therefore your last move would've been invalid.

But, as I said earlier, I'll let them slide because I'm pretty sure this is one of your first RP battles.

Okay Force Push and Pull are the same skills. Secondly, learn to read. You didn't see anything about the force when I gripped you? READ THE WORD BEFORE GRIP! Also, I served as an RP Mentor on Nationstates, which has a very large community with about 200 people online at a time. So definitely not my first RP Battle. I have done that there. :)
