Dauere Vente
It was significant thing when the young child of only four first saw the Star Dragon. Neither of them knew it at the time, but it was something that would change the child’s life, and save the child from the darkness that would unfold. In this meeting child was in awe of the magnificence of the creature who spoke of many things; in awe of the massive power that he felt from the gigantic creature. The child voiced a want to travel with him, but the dragon told the child to stay with his family…
“Picture perfect mutilation;
Bright to black with no hesitation.
All the right shades on the wrong page,
Make up this colorful mind … of… mine...”
Peace was the definition of this child’s life in the beginning. His bird-like people were not a society who delighted in war, but politics. It was unfortunate that this ended up being their downfall. Political enemies sent assassins, and the child’s small society of less than seventy people, that had taken refuge on a ship were slaughtered save for the children. There was a distress signal, but it went unanswered. It was then that he child asked for a release from his torment. He screamed and begged for the dragon to rescue him. But, the almighty dragon never came. Bright to black with no hesitation.
All the right shades on the wrong page,
Make up this colorful mind … of… mine...”
“Soothing brush strokes, scraping paint.
Loosen your grip before it all fades.
Vibrant rays, eclipsed by the haze,
Make up your colorful mind”
The child was not lost in this. The Jedi answered the distress signal that been echoing through space for a few days once it reached their sensors and found the children living in the ship among the dead, frightened, hungry, and in need of first aid. They rescued them from the slaughter and invited the child into their fold. The child eagerly took to their teachings. They reminded him of the dragon he had seen, although less majestic. Loosen your grip before it all fades.
Vibrant rays, eclipsed by the haze,
Make up your colorful mind”
“Much less colorful”
And so the child became a young man within the fold of the Jedi, and as the young man grew and became witness to battles, he began to think that the dragon he had seen in his childhood had been merely a dream. There was no majesty in the world. The young man thought, as he fought against a sith that he could not protect himself from, after he had seen his master slaughtered… much in the fashion of the adults on that ship from his past. “Will this be another day of night in here?
T he knife's not sharp enough to fear.
If I ever see you in white
Try to stay.
The room's not light for a gray.”
This was when the young man began to break. The mind that had seen so much, and felt the torture of the Sith fractured. And the young man joined the darkness of their ranks, lost, and losing everything that he had been. The young man became a shade of his former self, following the orders of the Sith, ashamed that the many graves he saw were not his own. T he knife's not sharp enough to fear.
If I ever see you in white
Try to stay.
The room's not light for a gray.”
“Will this be another day and night
If I ever see you in white?”
Years past and the shade learned to let out his wild emotions, and soon the shade was the active venom that he had attempted to destroy alongside the Jedi, mind corrupted. He who had been in awe of the dragons was now a man without a grasp of the world, much like a child again. Insane, without inhibitions. Wildly cruel. If I ever see you in white?”
“If I ever see you in white
Try to stay.
The room's not light for a gray.”
It was after a particularly self-destructive mission that left him wandering alone when the dragon came to the insane one. “I remember you, child. What have you done with yourself? Come. I will show you what you have lost."Try to stay.
The room's not light for a gray.”
“Make up this colorful mind…”
And so the man, once again a child in years, followed the Star Dragon...Song used in this:
