Basilak Uprabm sat in his room for several hours. He was in a trance of sorts, attempting to look into the future. But he had never actually used this before and he didn't get far with it. After this trying period, he stood and left the room. He put on his night robes, even though it was morning, and appeared in the larger hall. It was here that he first became a true Shade. It was here he was elevated to Master. It brought back memories.

Outside the Enclave

Bane sat outside the enclave in deep meditation. He'd been trying to learn to use the force to meditate and believed he was on the verge of figuring it out. He needed a master to take him as a shade padawan, and if he could contact someone inside with force meditation, maybe that would be impressive enough. He sat focusing on finding the people inside and slowly began to feel a presence inside. Oh it was strong, it had to be a knight, or maybe a master, He pushed back with all the force his untrained will could muster and unleashed it in a wave toward the entity inside. "here's your chance bane," He said to himself, "DON'T BLOW IT!".......

(ooc: sorry if this is an intrusion, i didnt know if shade hopefuls were included.)

((To Darkwolf: Hi, I think you kinda need to be approved by the Shades before you can be at a SHade Enclave. Though I could be mistaken. I'll also assume this is open only to Shades and closed to all others.))

Valek Dagger had left his private quarters for the day, instead sitting at the garden area where a large fountain sat. He was wearing his traditional leather trench coat over black standard clothing of Shade origin with his helmet on his head as always. There were several other Masters and Knights here, one he knew and some he did not. He was trying to come to a conclusion on rather he truly belonged here or not, as well as the consequences for if he did or not. He felt nothing from most people, not being able to consider them nothing but associates and allies instead of friends like anybody else could. He saw Shade Knights die before, and he felt nothing for them other then slight pitty. They taught him that he should feel and use his emotions, and that was where the problem with Valek was.

He couldn't.

((Darkwolf, sorry nope. Hopefuls aren't Shades just yet, and they have to be approved before being a part of this thread.))

Basilak looked up and saw a old ally.

"Valek, what brings you down here? Generally you are in your room, or at your ship, or on some mission or another." Basilak ambled his way over.

"Basilak."

Valek started, recognizing him when he approach as he kept his back to him, then rose from his seat.

"Usualy, I am. However, I think that my time here may have come towards an end."

He spoke, turning around to face his fellow Shade.

"Came here to find a cure for my condition, and it's only a temporary one. Thought I might find a better purpose in life, and not even that I could keep."

Valek took a sigh as he tucked his hands into his pockets.

"What I'm trying to say is that this may be last day I am with The Shade Order."

Basilak kept his emotions in check.

"Is there any way I could persuade you?" He move closer and sat down next to Valek. "Isn't there some reason for you to stay?

"Alsakans and Republic war went on for years, and ended with Alsakans being replaced by Hutts. Now Jedi are fighting powerful worshipers of The Dark Side. Bogan. Now I hear Shades may be getting involved, something I want to avoid. Another pointless war that will make no difference in future of things."

Valek said, then looking straight ahead, right towards the fountain as he watched the water shoot up from it only to land back into it's multiple bowls and repeat the process.

"Besides, you know I don't have any emotions I'm required to feel in The Order. I feel that I may be better suited for other things then here..."

"More bounty hunting of people who are wanted for crimes?" Basilak asked.

"Possibly. My old life was that of a solo mercenary. It's not important, but what is is the position I am giving up. You'll take my place on the Shade Council."

Valek said, rising from his seat some, approaching the fountain until he saw his reflection in the water, the green glow of his helmet reflecting off the marble walls of the fountain some. He then turned back towards Basilak.

"Positive you'll do a better job then I have. Leadership posistions... never preferred them."

Basilak was stunned by the announcement of whom Valek was giving his position to. But he kept himself in check and continued to listen.

"Valek, you're a leader whether you like it or not. How many people have you trained? How many people followed you on missions because of you?"

"Two students. Draven Romulous disappeared and I couldn't find him afterwards. Corron Dykan has the potential to become a Knight or fall depending on his choices."

"They may think I am, but I cannot see myself as one. We all form our own future, and mine is not here. I left note in Grandmaster's quarters concerning my decision."

Valek spoke, knowing that he was right. He could have remained, but he felt he could still do little here. He then started towards the exit, where the halls were that would lead him to the Hangar.

"Good bye, Basilak. Should you or the other Shades require my help, you know how to call me. Should my old Master or River Elluras ask about me, tell them I did it to find myself."

He finished, turning and exiting the garden and into the halls, heading towards the hangar where his ship and few belongings he had were stored.

"Goodbye Valek." Basilak said, a small amount of sadness in his voice. But what could be done? None now.
