Tynian sat in front of a large make-shift workbench. The Jedi Knight had set up a long table in his room, which had made his quarters a bit cramped at the moment. Strewn all over the bench were the metallic remains of the droid once called V.C... Tools, Wires, components, arms, and even the head of the once fully functioning droid lay all over the table as if someone just randomly tossed them there... But Tynian had a "system" and he knew exactly where everything was and where it was supposed to be.

A few years ago, Tynian and his then Jedi master Kane, had stumbled upon a group of thugs harvesting Kyber crystals from a cavern on the cold planet of Illum. Luckily the thugs didn't get far with the cargo they had gathered (facing two Jedi wasn't very healthy for the thugs), and the two Jedi were able to trace the "job" back to a droid simply designated V.C.
After a brief encounter, the droid was dead, as well as the guards with it... Kane and Tynian then came back to the Jedi Temple in hopes to follow the trail and find whoever was really behind the harvesting of crystals
The trail went cold after that. The two Jedi were called upon for more important missions, and the case was "set aside" for a while.
Yet Tynian wasn't satisfied with just letting it go. Someone was stealing Kyber crystals for their own means, and he wanted to find out who it was, and stop them. So he had all the remains of the droid put into his room and began going over it inch by inch in hopes to find anything that would lead him to the person or persons behind all this.

For a year, Tynian poured over V.C.'s data files gleaned from its mainframe, and searched tirelessly every inch of the droid, and he was beginning to lose hope that he would be able to find anything.

He rubbed his tired eyes as he once again watched the computer screen as he went through all the information residing inside V.C.'s mainframe. All he saw now on the screen itself, were numbers and letters, and nothing was getting his attention, until now.
Something caught his eye. It was only there for a second then it was gone... He reached over and played back the last few seconds of information... he waited... then saw it again.
A series of numbers that seemed to grab his attention. Checking it again, he smiled.

Kane... Father... I've found something!

He knew his father would be able to hear him, for some reason the force allowed them to communicate with each other quite easily over long distances.
He checked the information again... Things were going to get really interesting now.
