Planet of Terminus, Kalla Sector, Outer Rim Territories

Minerva, deck out in her Mandalorian armor, briskly walked through the crowded city district. Through the t-visor she can note the rather dismal surroundings. Not as bad as Nar Shaddaa but this place is not Naboo either. Then again I wouldn’t have much work here if it were more like the latter. Air speeders flew overhead as steam from open food stalls filled the air.

Vendors called out their wares all around her. Most people just kept on walking like she did. A pair of children in rags, one Sullustan and a Gran ran past Minerva. She briefly checked her pockets and much to her silent relief nothing was stolen. Music from an open cantina played loudly up ahead.

Standing in front of the establishment she shrugged her shoulders. Might as well have a drink or two. The armored warrior went inside and found the place pretty crowded. Most patrons were at a small table watching a podrace on Malastare. While a few others were at the bar stand.

Perfect

Making her way there Minerva accidentally bumped into a large Qurren in worker overalls. “Hey watch where you’re going!” The squid face man shouted. She did not pay him any mind which angered the Qurren. He reached to grab her by the shoulder, but swiftly gripped his arm and twisted it backward.

The Qurren let out a cry of pain which caused most to look over toward their direction. Still twisting the limb Minvera forced him to his knees, causing the man to squeal. Subsequently in pain he looked up, seeing the Mandalorian’s visor up close.

“Piss off.”

Said Minerva in a low but threatening tone. Frightened the Qurren nodded in submission, wanting the pain to stop. A moment later the mercenary let him go and he ran off nursing the injured. As soon as the confrontation everyone else went back to their drinks and such like nothing happened.

Done, she reached the bar and tossed a coin to the owner. “Corellian ale.” She ordered without hesitation. The barkeep, an eldery blue Twi’lek gave a nod and went to get it.

Takai Wren walked the streets of the city planet of Terminus in search of something that was a dying breed. After her adventures on Tatooine, the young Mandalorian wanderer was in need of a smith. Not just any smith, but one with knowledge in the crafting of Beskar. Loathe to return to Mandalore at this time, she had come chasing a rumor that the far outer rim ecumenopolis planet of Terminus might have such a skilled person. So far her search had been a bust however.

Like most city planets poverty was as rampant as the trade that brought many to them. Some were winners and some were losers on trade worlds like these that enriched the few and oppressed the rest. Beggars lined the alleyways while shops peddled wares that few of them could afford. None of that interested Takai though.

What interested Takai was a drink.

After searching in vain all day, she could use some alcohol, and maybe a bar fight to blow off some steam. Stepping into the first seedy establishment that served liquor, she walked straight up to the bar.

"Ale, something bitter." She told the barman, not particularly interested in where the ale came from. Scanning the bar, her eyes met the T-visor of another Mandalorian. Giving the fellow warrior a brief nod, Takai wasn't sure if they would recognize her as kin, lacking the traditional beskar'gam of their people as she was. Her attention quickly returned to the ale that slid in front of her, a coin passing from her hand in exchange for the foamy brew.

Glancing to the side Minerva noted the newcomer nod at her. The Mandalorian was about to nod back when she noticed the T-shaped paint over the other’s face. Rather particular indeed. Further ponderings on the subject were stopped when the ale was handed to her.

“Thanks.” Minerva said, sliding a few credits to the barkeep.

Taking off the helmet, the warrior’s brown hair and hawkish expression was revealed. Some of the other patrons looked over, rather surprised that she took it off. Typical outsiders, assuming we Mandalorians all follow the Way in the same matter. Not that Minerva had objections to the bethern who were more strict about it but she had her own path which was a little more flexible in comparison.

Turning to the other woman beside her, Minerva decided to test if the former was kin or not. “Jorhaa'ir Mando?” She asked in Mando’a.

Above in the heavens, it all seemed peaceful. Freighters and smaller craft flew back and forth in steady traffic across the planet. Nothing out of the ordinary...or it seemed. Without warning more than a dozen warships(one carrier, several corvettes and a few cruisers) came out of lightspeed. In a long line formation the small flotilla advanced toward Terminus’ surface. Onboard the carrier, at the command chair, a towering Tof in orange royal grab with a red beard looked on the world below.

His eyes beamed with greed. “We are here at last.” The warlord said in eager anticipation. Soon Terminus will burn.

Takai had to admit she was a little surprised when the Mandalorian across from her at the bar took off her helmet. She knew that all Mandalorians didn't follow The Way so hardline like she used to, and she supposed that now she was one such lax practitioners. It was still surprising however. She just hoped the surprise didn't show on her face.

"Ni jorhaa'ir bic vod." She replied in the language of their people. It had been a long time since Takai had spoken the tongue of their people. The familiar sound made her smile.

"What brings you to Terminus." She continued in Mando'a, the shroud of secrecy around the language ensuring that there were likely few in the bar who understood them.
