Mei walked out of the main city of Naboo with a sigh. She then saw a few flowers and smiled as she began to walk over to them. She sat down and smelled one. She closed her eyes and lets her mind drift she thinks about the last battle she was in and let a sigh leave her lip she needed to invest in some armor. She had broken her ribs and they were tender even now. she laid back and smiled. Oh how much she loved flowers. "Maybe I can bring some of the flowers back to my room at the main temple." she thought to herself as she picked one and put it to her nose.

Ryse casually strolled towards the main city of Naboo when he found somebody just wasting time picking flowers. Ryse strutted over to her side and raised his hands to rest behind his head. "Slacking off picking flowers huh? Isn't there something better you could do- something more productive perhaps?" Ryse shook his head. However he only hoped she wouldn't call him out for doing nothing as well. It was the truth though, Ryse was just wandering about aimlessly. He had no goal, no objective, just sight seeing.

Mei's eyes turned and looked at him with a raised eyebrow at him. she had seen him out about he was not a full knight yet. She tilted her head at him all emotion off her face. "I have some time off from my duties as a Jedi Knight," she said with no emotion in her voice. She placed her hands in her lap as she looked at him. as she looked at him she remembered little about him other than seeing him in the padawan quarters as she passed to go the Knights area of the main temple. He seemed younger than she was but then again that was not to say a lot as she was young herself.

Ryse closed his eyes and shook his head at her response. Did she see this as a job? Being a Jedi there was no time off from your duties. This was more than a job. Comparing being a Jedi to a job was inexcusable. There was no time off. There was always something to be done, someone to help, somebody to save, people to protect. "Well then, since you're not doing anything productive, how about we go find something to do. There's always something. From helping people to combating the Sith threat, there is always something for a Jedi to do." He gave her a small smile and offered her his hand. Perhaps there was somebody in need upon Naboo?

she found his comment amusing but she showed no emotions. She looked at his hand and waved it off before standing up. she dusted herself off and raised an eyebrow at him before placing her hands behind her back. "if Sith came here they would die. Secant if my memory serves me right you are not a Jedi Knight, and yet you're trying to tell a Jedi Knight what to do? tell me do you think you could take on a Sith?" she said as she turned from him and looked up at the sky. She closed her eyes as a breeze blew by. She smirked lightly as she waited for Ryse's response

Ryse lowered his hand back to his side after she denied it. She then continued on with some questioning. Well, it was normal for him to be doubted because he wasn't a Jedi Knight yet. Actually, it was expected for her to question him and his authority. "Well, it's common sense that there's always something to do. It doesn't matter what my position is, I can still see that. Take on a Sith? Sure I could. Defeat one? No, very unlikely. However I could take on a Sith to buy time for others to escape or for reinforcements to arrive. However me surviving is another story. The way I see it though, it doesn't matter if this body dies. Somebody even stronger than me will rise up and take my place with my same ideals. What about you? Could you take on a Sith?" He smiled at her as he gave his answer and then asked her the same question. He was curious how a Jedi Knight would respond to it.

Mei raised an eyebrow, even more, his comment amused as she places her hands behind her back and stepped around him. "That would greatly depend on the sith I was facing. I would hope not to face ones like the right hand of the Emporer or something like that. However, I am not unbeatable I can be beaten if someone can catch me off guard. I am not only trained in the arts of Jedi fighting. I am also trained as Nagai Assassin as I lived in a Nagai Monastery til I was twelve," she says with a shrug she then looks at him in the eyes and lets the force flow through her and picks up a pebble and makes it fly at Ryse to see what he does. "maybe he can be thought" she thinks to herself as she smirks at him.

Ryse stood in place, a rather confident stance at that, as usual. She seemed to be looking him over and he didn't necessarily mind as he listened to her response. "Well of course anybody can be beaten when they're off guard though. However there are some this that are just completely overpowering." He smiled at her once more before his eyes widened at the sudden object rocketing towards him. He turned his attention to it, looking at it as the force began to flow through him. With the use of the force he channeled it towards the pebble to cause it to freeze in place a bit from him. Ryse was trained in the force, something like this wasn't much for him.

Mei's eyebrow went up and smirked a little before she flicked his ear softly. "if I was a Sith you would be dead you took your eyes off of me and would have killed you. Be mindful of everything around you but never take your eyes off some one." She said as she watches him. she found him some what amusing and with some training, he could be powerful but he needed to learn to relax he was so very uptight and seemed to what to try to save everyone which could not be done people died all the time and you could not save them all.

Ryse rubbed his ear for a moment as he looked over at her. "But you're not a Sith. If you were then I wouldn't just be standing here!" Ryse gave her a sort of half glare. He didn't understand a lot of these Jedi thing, however he was still learning. "Do or do not, there is no try" but one can't do without at least trying. Ryse mentally sighed to himself while he continued to watch her."I think you just don't want me to ever take my eyes off you or something. Like that'll happen.."

Mei raises an eyebrow at him and decides to mess with his mind little she smirks a little and leans in. "Oh really are you flirting with me, you know it's against the Jedi code to do that," she said as she stands straight again not moving her eyes from him a slight smirk on her lips. She did really was thinking of taking him as her Padawan simple because he did not seem to care that she was a Nagai like most did. the wind blew by moving her hair a tad as she stood there.

He narrowed his eyes and stood his ground as she leaned in towards him. After she finished speaking he couldn't help but roll his eyes at her though."Flirting with you? As if! You'd like that though wouldn't you?" He smiled at her for a moment before it turned more into a smirk as he folded his arms across his chest.

(Actually i looked it up and relationships are actually allowed with Jedi, so it doesn't break the code.)

Mei giggled a little but rolled her eyes at him. He had a sharp tongue that was for sure. She smirked at him a little before walking around him. "You need a Master to train you, think I will talk to the council to fill in the role. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders," she said as she crosses her arms and looks at him. "That's if you want me as your Master, I will take you on most missions unless it's an extremely important Mission," she said and waits for him to respond to her

((I know but she uses that line to for her own in securities and such. and what she means by Important missions is like the man thread one I am in atm))

The Kaadu grunted as it padded along at a trot across Theed's main plaza. Citizens halted, and gasped in awe when they saw the rider; a few averted their gaze, one woman dropped her groceries. The rider nodded to each he saw, and waved gently to them.

He would not stay cooped up I side just because there was a war. Theed had not been attacked, the war was being fought out in the plains and hills or in dark, secluded studies. No one would attack during the middle of the day, at such a well protted area.

Yet, he still had to move swiftly and with the cooperation of some younger household staff. Thurrock, and Commander Rand were always so high strung, and overly cautious. He could see the outskirts and nudged his mount to a full canter, nothing to straining on the biped.

Once clear of the buildings he felt the air on his face, ground was softer under the beast's feet. He stood up in the stirrups and pushed the Kaadu a little further to a steady gallop. Finally some excitement, open spaces, the reason people had taken up this frontier paradise. Aware of the lack of stamina the creature had at this gait, Kaadu being famous for brief bursts of ridiculous pace, and for trotting a great distance; he slowed down. The recovering beast honked, Jafan saw the two figurus by the roadside. Time was you could ride for miles without seeing anyone once you left Theed. More visitors meant you had to ride miles before this was a possibility. He put on a broad smile as he approached, he could see the robes as he got closer.

Ryse frowned for a moment before giving a slight bow to the Jedi. "My apologies but I already have a master, recent too. However I will still take you up for anything you're willing to teach me." Ryse stood tall once more. He had hoped she wasn't too upset by him declining her. His attention however was soon taken from her and instead to something else coming towards them. From first look it appeared to be a person riding upon a beast. While it wasn't completely unordinary, it was indeed enough to turn some heads. Ryse would be one of those heads that was turned. Ryse however nodded towards the one upon the beast who seemed to be smiling at them. He wasn't sure if they were just passing by or if they were stopping to chat with them. Perhaps with this it would quickly change the subject of his current conversation.

Mei shrugs and smiles at him. She didn't mind at all. Her eyes focus on the person who approached them and her eyebrow raises slightly She recognizes him almost instantly and she bows slightly to him. "Your Majesty, it is a pleasure to be in your presence. I am Jedi Knight Mei O'hara. If may I ask what brings you out here?" she said as she came out of her bow. She hadn't expected to see the King of Naboo today or any day really, but she knew how to act around royalty. She hoped that Ryse would bow as well but she didn't know how he would react to him.

"Well met, Mel O'hara." The monarch bowed, as did the Kaadu. The beast returned to a stand and then nestled down at a click of tongue to teeth. After dismounting, the monarch took a few hobbled paces up and down then gazed over the top of the outcrop. A contented sigh rolled out of the man as he then swivelled around. "Well, I am King, and the elected representative of Theed. This is still part of my domain. It's that or stay in the palace... as my astute Commander, or ever vigilant majordomo would have me stay." The King looked around, over the Kaadu, and behind the Jedi. He then beamed an even broader grin than he wore on the approach. Pacing up to the Kaadu, he removed something from a pouch and fed the billed biped, stroking its head and muttering softly. "It's alright, they're friends. Real friends, friends of Naboo, and you."

After petting the mount he turned back to them, the beast nudging him in the rear as he paced out of reach. He sat down on the edge of the track, and plucked a small wildflower. White petals, with a black centre. "I have heard that some of your... fellow Jedi, have been talking with Naboo's diplomatic Corps. What brings you to Naboo, a such a troubling period in its life?"
