The First Lesson: Thirty Three Rules
Daalang, Gamor Run, Mid Rim
--> Music <--
Horus stood at the edge of the clearing, amidst the beams of light that shone around him. Despite this, the world of Daalang was mostly industrialized, which made this natural grove all the more special. Considering its purpose, it was blessed threefold in one day. There was some comfort in that, and through it, the Vahla felt the strongest and most natural of calms. Today would be the first day that Horus would teach his own students, the ones he'd selected. He knew that others would likely join their ranks, which would allow his most senior students to pass on this lesson to the ones who missed it. Among them was Quolon Dox, a boy he'd met quite by chance on Endor. His younger sister Kerowyn, who was trying to cast off her past as a Sith. And Calath Draykon, the son of one of Horus' oldest colleagues, Lieutenant Tycho Draykon.Daalang, Gamor Run, Mid Rim

"Right, you’re all here. Good. You’ve all been chosen as my students, and more are likely to join you; so do yourself a favor and get acquainted with each other. Some of you may have already met - that’s good. Go ahead and take this time to introduce yourselves, like so; Hi, I’m Horus Tempest. I’m a Jedi Knight, Vahla, twenty-four years of age and way out of my scene."
Horus would wait as his Padawans introduced each other. He didn't really know if anyone knew each other, and as each responded, he would watch intently. This would be telling, seeing how they would interact with each other and get along. He did hope the synergy and companionship that he and his class had developed would be something he could provide to this new generation. And, of course, he already had a number of lessons outlined. All lessons were prepping them for the end goal of attaining Knighthood and full membership of the Order, but more than that. He was going to equip them with the knowledge of how to survive this war and win it, and he would hopefully be able to pass on his knowledge of the Force and enlightenment in the process. He'd be an odd teacher, but maybe that was for the best. Once all replies where finished, he nodded to each, in turn, shaking any hand that came forth.
"As my students, the end goal is to prepare all of you for Knighthood. For now, we’ll start with the basics. The Jedi Code. And from there I’ll be covering a very important subject - the thirty-three rules of war. If someone would recite the code for me, we will make sure you each know it. Listen to these words, they will guide you. Afterward, we’ll jump straight into the warfare... philosophy will come later. Tomorrow we will be covering lightsaber combat and force application in battle. I want you armed with the knowledge to survive, so we can focus on the finer details."
