The Force is the strength to my fists, the strength to my legs, the power to my palms. I feel the force in my arms, my legs, my hands, my feet, it flows through my hands like a striking dragon. The Force guides me in war, and calms me in peace. By the Force my hands are guided, to strike down the bodies of evil. Nothing may hinder the Force, and so nothing may hinder me.

Young Cat ran these threads through his mind as if his mind was a quilt, and he ever so tightly locked them in his cells, so that they would be embedded in his spirit. He was exercising alone, aboard the Will of the Force. The masters at the Coruscant temple, after a few days of having him, insisted he be sent there to hone his skills unarmed. Cat didn't like lugging around a lightsaber, and he much rather trained with his bare hands and feet.

He stung his imaginary enemy like a cobra, and danced around him like a swan, ever so swiftly punching and kicking the subduer back. He was completely immersed in the Force, and he could feel it in his palms, which he thrust forward in offense to his invisible combatant.

"My fists are one with the Force, and the Force is one with my fists,"

Right, left then straight on through the second corridor then.....

Christian may have been used to the sound of ship's and the general workings but nothing really was the same as being on a capital ship. A capital ship full of Jedi was even more of an assault of the sense, but it was peaceful in a strange way.

This ship had a beating heart, a steady never ending nervous system of the Jedi and crew moving about there duties and training. He liked it here but he knew liking something too much led to complacency and that was something a jedi could never allow. Especially with the way the Galaxy was.

He opened the door to the training room, moved past a few jedi nodding his greetings and after a few moments of small talk he moved away towards one of the training droids.

Before he got there he couldn't help but overhear what one of the Jedi training mumbled to himself, he turned giving him a searching look.

'I fear some Sith may not share your rather noble view on Combat'

((Himself, him. Cat is a boy.))

After kneeing his imaginary enemy in the stomach and twisting his arm into a lock, Cat heard the door behind him open with a -shhft-, and soon after a voice, a rather dapper and dashing voice. He could not tell if it was advice, or mockery, or just a plain side remark.

"I'm sorry, sir, I have been trying to study the Force as much as possible that I haven't had not much time to study the enemy. But I'll be sure to remember your words, sir."
After reviewing the man's robes, Cat concluded he was a Jedi Master. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to salute, or bow, or do nothing..
"Uh, my friends call me Cat. What do your friends call you?"

Ooc: Whoops lol, sorry.

What a curious man he was, He couldn't work out where he was from but from his mannerisms he didn't seem to be from one of the core worlds, perhaps the outer rim or one of the wilder mid rim worlds. Either way he seemed a thoroughly nice chap which was always nice to see in this dark and dingy galaxy.

'My Name is Christian, It is my utmost pleasure to meet you sir. If you don't mind me asking where are you from? I presume you are of the Padawan rank, yes?'

"Yes, sir, I'm definitely am a Padawan, but I'm most hoping to be a Knight someday... as for, where I'm from, I'm from Dantooine. I was brought to the temple on Coruscant a few weeks ago by a Zabrak Jedi General, whose battle I witnessed. I went down after the battle to offer him my water bottle, and he told me I had potential to be a JedI. So I went with him to the temple, and they said I would be better off training here. So here I am."

"Should I continue my exercises, sir?"
Though they had only talked for a brief moment, Cat had lost his train of thought for fighting his imaginary enemy.

'Well I say that is alot to take in, I may be wrong but were you practicing the art of Teras Kasi. Perhaps I was wrong to assume you would struggle against a sith, I believe they would struggle against you if you became very proficient in the art!'

Christian had a horrible habit to continue on a tangent when he got something interesting to work on, or someone to talk too, and this young man was one thing for sure. Interesting.

"Thank you, sir, I'm far from mastering the art, though. Care to spar? I haven't had the chance to fight anybody in practice yet. They all prefer to use lightsabers, while I want to use my fists."

Cat walked over to a wall with a row of cubbys. He grabbed two pairs of gloves out of one cubby, and strapped a pair onto his dirty hands. Walking back over to Christian, he offered the Jedi Master a pair. Cat was relatively tall enough so that it would be a fair fight.

Christian took the gloves nodding his head in thanks, he strapped them on whilst taking off a layer of robes, took off his lightsaber and placed them neatly on the floor. What he knew about Teras-Kasi was nothing more then text books and reading but he would give it a go!

'You will have to go easy on me, I know very little about Teras-Kasi but I'll try anything once'

Christian took up one of the defensive poses of Teras-Kasi, he didn't want to go charging in and get shown up too quickly.

Nodding to the Master, Cat took up a rather loose stance, raising his fists under the sides of his chin and raising his left knee up to his chest loosely. Pulling his leg into his knee, the Padawan spun around and shot his leg out like it was spring-loaded, at Christian, who was in a defensive stance.

"Haie--ee--yah!"
After the kick, he attempted to deliver two straightforward punches with his right hand, and his left covering his face - Cat might be vulnerable to an attack to the torso, if he isn't careful.

Christian's eyes lit up in concentration, he brought his arm across to intercept the padawan's blow, he felt the blow strike his arm and it went numb for a moment before he focused the force inwards, as he kept his guard up from the first blow.

Cat came at him again with some quick punches with his right hand, he dodged one moving his head to the side whilst deflecting the other away from his face, he was ever so slightly slow and one of the punches brushed against his face leaving a red mark..

Christian darted back quickly and racked his brain on Teras-Kasi and remembered one of the attacks, the very subtle charging wompa. He charged forward at Cat, with his right he took a swing at Cat's face whilst with his left he tried to quick jabs against his neck.

The Jedi Master Christian Noble had deflected most of Cat's attacks effectively, only taking a few bruises from the punches. He had also gone from being very defensive to on the offense, and almost caught Cat by surprise with his Charging Wampa attack.

The young Jedi hopeful was able to roll under the swing to his face, but was nicked by one jab to the neck, sending a short wave of pain down his chest, which he quickly recovered from. Cat tried to use his combatant's momentum against him and, attempting to grab the Master by his jabbing arm, pin him on the ground or get him in a hold.

Ooc: He isn't a Master yet! lol

Christian sensed he had some momentum and went forward into Cat's body attempting to give him some body shocks and weaken him, one of his shots however was grabbed roughly by Cat's arm and with the momentum he threw into the punch he spinned round, He was pressed back first towards Cat with his arm in a hold.

Nothing for it, He struck downwards with both of his arms and pushed his lower body outwards attempting to flip Cat onto the floor.

Cat was able to get the Knight(:p) into a hold, and tried with all his strength to keep him there, but it backfired - Christian was able to deliver two blows to Cat's torso, weakening his defense, and then was able to throw cat over him and flat on his back, onto the floor.

"Oo.....oof.. good one, sir, I didn't learn that yet."

The Padawan concentrated the Force into his legs, enhancing their strength, and used them to flip off the floor and onto his feet. Resuming to his stance, Cat decided to take a little more care in keeping his defense up, focusing his mind, and the Force, into his arms, so that they could more effectively deflect and block any attacks.

The Force is not only my strength, but much more importantly, my defense,
"Should we continue, sir?"

'No thank you! I fear I may be in for a bit of a drubbing if we continue, I would never live it down!'

Christian said the words warmly, as he started taking off the combat gloves and starting putting his robes back on whilst gingerly touching the side of his face. He would have to get some medigel on that before he ended up looking like a wompa!

'So, my good man who will you continue your training with, my face is testament to your excellent skills so I presume you have people banging your door down Young man!'

"Alright, sir. It was a pleasure being able to spar with somebody."

After taking his own gloves off, he placed them back in the cubby in the wall, and returned to the center of the room.

"Actually, it might surprise you, that I don't have a master yet to guide me. I have learned much from the grand Archives, and from the teaching lessons, but it's not as good as having my very own Master. I've been looking for one that had mastered Teras Kasi, but any one Master, I guess I'd be pretty happy to have.

I was originally going to be Master Solus' padawan, but he was too busy leading grand armies."

Cat dug his hands into his pockets. He wondered why the knight had asked if he had a master.

'Well then you will come with me! Yes, that will work very well. You will be my first padawan and we shall have a wonderful time. Plus if you had one of the old mothball masters they'd make you cut your hair, change your clothes and have a lightsaber. I love a bit of eccentricity and you have it by the bucketload!'

Christian was beaming from ear to ear, he had wanted a padawan and now he had one and he was a lovely fellow.

'Now, I don't know much about Teras-Kasi but I know a place where we can find out, I don't think they hate Jedi anymore but we shall see, ever heard of Bunduki? I think there may be a few of them there still'

"A-oh! You want me as a Padawan?"
Cat's eyes lit up, he was going to get a master that wouldn't make him use a lightsaber. He could probably cut his tunic off at the elbows, too, like he wanted to, but the other Masters wouldn't let him.
"I'd gladly accept - sir, uh, or, do I call you Master, now? I'd be glad to be your Padawan.

Bunduki? I have not heard of that planet before.. are you sure they're friendly to us Jedi?"

Cat's heart thumped and he became excited when he said "us Jedi." He was on the path to becoming a Knight!

Ooc: I'll set up the thread when I get a chance and let you know

'Oh dear, no that won't do at all, I hate subservience even if I do know a few more bits and bobs then you, you shall call me Christian and I shall call you Cat.'

He put on the rest of his robes, buttoned up his lightsaber with a look of excitement on his face, yes Bundaki would be a wonderful place to go. It would be good for his new padawan and could even improve Christian's knowledge, two birds with one stone.

'Yes Bundaki, Well the locals shouldn't hate us anymore. Well there not strictly the locals anymore as there are new locals but there should be a few of them around somewhere I reckon....Let me think, ok meet me at the hanger bay in 3 hours Cat and we shall be away with a hop, skip and a jump'

[[Sounds good. I do hope we'll face some resistance on Bundaki, so Cat can try out his skills for real.]]
