The Lasay Swamp was one of many swamps that littered the planet of Naboo. The planet was well known for being home of the Gungans and the usurper Emperor Palpatine. However, what few knew was that Naboo currently was serving as one of the few safe havens for Jedi. Most of the population on Naboo didn't know that fact, but a few selected officials did.

The hideouts on Naboo were scattered, so if any Jedi Hunters were to come to the planet, they could not find all of the Jedi. One of the hideouts was in the Lasay Swamp. A Jedi resident was Shi-Gel-Hu, a Nautolan Master. The swamp was a far cry from his native homeworld, but his biology enabled him to tolerate the murky waters and damp environment.

Shi-Gel-Hu was currently patrolling Lasay Swamp. The swamp didn't get many visitors, but the Jedi were being vigilant with their security. The Jedi Master's patrol was ending soon, so he was on the look out for the next patrol. He couldn't recall who was scheduled next, but he knew it was one or two Jedi.

Jake enjoyed the swamps of naboo, never being one for cities. Though the swamp was alive and Jake easily blended in to the surroundings. But then so when any sith or bounty hunter meaning these patrols where vital. Now all that was needed was for Jake to find master Shi-Gel.

Alanna was aware of Naboo housing swamps, but this was the first time she had been around one, and she was somewhat thankful that the humid, damp air of the swamp didn't irritate her nose or eyes. Lasay Swamp housed one of the Jedi outposts the Naboo had allowed the Jedi to have, and while it was not one Alanna stayed at regularly, she decided to visit the area, an odd feeling in her mind telling her to go ahead and do it. She decided to forego her cloak for this occasion, as it would only get wet if she had to move through the water, which was likely.

Alanna frowned to herself thoughtfully. The swamp teemed with the Living Force, but through the field of energy she felt two distinct Force signatures, one that felt familiar and another, stronger one that she had never felt. Letting her own, powerful Force aura flow freely in this environment, she decided to head toward them.

Shi-Gel-Hu came across Alanna first. He remembered the next patrol consisting of a male Jedi, so he was surprised to see her. He recognized her, though could not recall her name. She had a somewhat strange expression to her, as if she was looking for something. Or possibly just admiring the swamp. Still, it was odd that a human was admiring the swamp. Generally they kept to the cities.

"Lost?" The Jedi master asked. The Nautolan sensed another approach. He recognized that person. Jake Paxson. Shi-Gel-Hu then remembered that there had been a recent shift change due to illness, that Paxson was filling in.

making his way through the swamp Jake could sense Shi-Gel-Hu. So it came has a surprise when Alanna. Walking towards them he waited till he got close so has not to have to shout. "Greeting master Shi-Gel-Hu padawan Alanna. I am glade I have found you both."

Alanna looked up from her pondering to see a Nautolan Jedi, as well as Jake Paxson, the first Jedi of the New Order she had met. She smiled, giving a respectful bow to the two.

"Hello again, Jake, it's good to see you. And greetings to you, Master. I don't believe we've met. My name is Alanna Noymara, and I'm not exactly lost, because I felt the odd urge to visit this particular swamp. I apologize if my presence is unnecessary."

Jarlock kicked a rock as he made his way to his nightly patrol. "Such a drag...." he muttered to himself as he slid his hands into his robes. The sound of the swamp filled his ears as he walked along the shore, bugs, the water, the various night life was somewhat relaxing even though he really did not want to be on patrol. What good would he do in case of an attack anyways? He was a Padawan who was barely trained in the force and he did not have a Master to teach him any better. On top of that he did not even have a real lightsaber, just a clunky old training lightsaber that would do no good against a Sith. He wasn't going to die for the Jedi who had, so far, done absolutely nothing to make him feel welcome.

Still, he guessed it was better than sitting in the stupid hideout by himself, again. He wanted to go to a different planet, he had heard that the Archives Arbra held much more knowledge than on Naboo. He tried his hardest to use the tools on Naboo that he had, but with the current state of the Jedi, there was not much they could do. He missed the days of carelessness on Glee Anslem where the only thing he had to worry about was pissing off Adonari. He chuckled at the thought of seeing the older Nautolan fume at him but slowly calm himself down afterwards. He was glad that he never got that angry, just bored a lot, A LOT.

He came across a scene of three other people standing around. He did not expect anyone else there besides the Jedi Master, Shi-Gel-Hu. "I, uh, have come for the patrol.." He said to the Nautolan Jedi Master. He glanced at the other three, were they there for the patrol as well? He did not know, but, he somewhat hoped they were so that he could at least talk to other people.
