Ownership: Pioneered and owned by Darren Foster. The weapon may easily be manufactured independently, or in bulk, as the situation demands.

Intent: While Triple F is potent, it's a one-trick pony. This system gives Darren more less-lethal options at his disposal, for when a body count is unnecessary or unneeded. This system is also intended to give Darren's non-lethal options a suitably long range.

Model: The GPCP-01 (Gas-Propelled Chemical Projectile) and the CGCP-01 (Coil-Gun: Chemical Projectile)

Type: These two weapons are decidedly members of the projectile weapons category.

Size: The GPCP-01 is an extremely light carbine (measuring 38 cm long [45 with stock extended] by 8 cm wide [with the side-mounted sight] by 18 cm tall [30 cm tall with ammunition hopper]. The GPCP-01 weighs a mere two kilograms when loaded. The CGCP-01 follows a similar mentality, but measures 16 cm long by 3 cm wide by 9 cm tall and weighs a mere kilo when loaded.

Composition: Both weapons are made primarily from plasteel to ensure their light weight. Moving parts, what few there are in either weapon, are made from durasteel

Range: The effective range of the GPCP-01 carbine is roughly a hundred meters, but it's relatively high rate of fire allows a "spray and pray" mentality, which makes it potentially effective out to a hundred and fifty meters. The CGCP-01 is effective, like all pistols, to a mere thirty meter maximum effective range.

Ammunition Capacity: The GPCP-01 contains a hopper capable of fitting a surprisingly large hundred and twenty rounds due to the lack of need for each round to contain it's own propellant; the gas canister can hold enough pressurized carbon dioxide to fire two full hoppers. The CGCP-01, however, contains a mere ten rounds, though the battery pack contained within the magazine allows it to fire as many rounds as can be loaded into the magazine without a need to recharge. These cells are easily rechargeable, but require the power cells to be removed from the magazine and applied to an external charger, thus largely mitigating it's use in the field.

Description: Darren, once he had decided to start mixing various chemicals together for an incapacitating effect, soon realized that his belt sander and block of Triple F trick, while highly effective against most targets, had a decidedly limited range. On top of this, Triple F occasionally had difficult, or downright annoying, side-effects that sometimes are better avoided. To assist with this, Darren made himself a very simple gas-operated launcher capable of a reasonably high rate of fire (three hundred rounds per minute). As it's primary use was the dispersion of various chemical agents and aerosols, the size of the projectiles were rather large, at nearly two centimeters in diameter, and each of which is loaded with one of several compressed chemical substances (listed below). These rounds are then fired at quite a low velocity, each rarely exceeding a hundred and twenty five meters per second. On contact with virtually any object, the speed at which these munitions move will shatter the thin shell that holds the gaseous mixture, which then expands in a puff of powdered chemicals and/or gases.

When carrying the larger carbine version, however, Darren quickly realized that the size of the hopper and vulnerability of the pressurized gas canister were impediments which were exceedingly difficult to rectify. To fix this issue, he created the CGCP-01 as a prototype. To make the mixture suitable for launch from a coil gun, he adjusted the mixture of paint each round is coated in, which makes them not only easily identified, but also ferrous enough to be fired at the appropriate speeds. In exchange, the pistol's limited ammunition capacity has forced him to limit it's rate of fire to semi-automatic. Oddly enough, both munitions options are virtually silent, with neither of them producing more than thirty decibels of sound when firing. While Darren has considered manufacturing a carbine/submachine gun version of the CGCP-01, he has yet to do so.

The rounds for these weapons come in four varieties. The first of which, colored dark blue, is filled with coma gas [link], a substance which is known to induce unconsciousness in most forms of sentients and sapients. The second variety, colored puke green, contains stun gas [link]. This particular variant of stun gas can be either inhaled or absorbed through the skin, and is known to cause dizziness, disorientation, vomiting, and loose bowels. Thirdly, an orange canister is filled with plank gas [link]: a highly corrosive chemical which is ideal for degrading filter masks, rebreathers, and other similar devices. Finally, a fluorescent pink paint denotes rounds filled with CO2 and powdered Triple F.

The amount of the various chemicals is by no means overly large, nor comparable to a gas grenade. It is generally sufficient to dose the target that is actively shot with the munition, provided the round impacts reasonably close to the face or upper torso. In confined spaces, however, or when a large enough volume of these munitions impact roughly the same area, the effects start spreading cumulatively. With this in mind, it becomes easy to see why Darren enjoys thinking of these weapons as riot suppressing munitions. Two or three hoppers of mixed munitions is enough to effectively eliminate any serious resistance the typical crowd might put forth and create quite the spectacle in the process.

The plank gas link has nothing there. Either the page isn't working or someone removed the info, I'm not sure.

Looks like the second thing. Either someone ****ed up an edit or they're in the process of removing it.

There is something going on with the wiki at the moment, not sure what, but the page isn't loading for some reason, despite the search engine still having some information on it. I've also tried using multiple links to get to the info, and the result tends to lead to a redirect that takes us to that useless page.

Plank gas is a moderate-to-high strength metal-eating acidic compound. Generally It leaves flesh unharmed, but eats through just about any non-organic compounds, such as the filters in rebreathers. In the quantities launched from this system, the gas won't do that much damage to someone's armor, only moderate damage to someone's clothing (a few random holes, at most), and will generally be launched at the upper torso, so that the gas will actually have an effect upon the rebreather/face masks/filters that folks tend to use.
