(OOC thread for members of the Exchange, and others, to meet up with each other and get to know one another. Based in the Grand Oasis Casino and Resort, of which a write-up can be found here)

Opening night at the Grand Oasis was something to behold. Species of all shapes and sizes dressed in their finest clothes chattered and mingled, floating gracefully around the main floor. The air was buzzing with conversation, laughter and the general noise of the casino floor. Pazzak was a massive hit it seemed, hordes of people flocking to the tournament tables to watch the games. Guarded by the plentiful security, then main floor was a haven for the rich and opportunistic.

Marcus meanwhile was sat in a mirrored booth with a pair of rather tiresome humans, who didn't like his jokes nor did they want to drink. It was a security booth, with banks of monitors and flashing lights, each showing various squares of video being pumped live from the cameras. Now Marcus knew there was a lot of camera's, but not this many. Showing a countless different angles, the pair sat there with their vid-visors on, flitting between channels and video feeds at the twitch of a finger. Marcus was impressed, but utterly bored. He stood, smiling as he patted himself down, feeling rather under-dressed as he looked out the mirrored glass.

"Right boys, I'm off to hit the tables. Might even have a drink or six, fancy some food?" He asked to their backs. He waited a while, but they never even turned around. He doubted he even heard him.
"I'm a Sith sent to destroy the world, bow before me." Marcus paused again, yet still nothing. He sighed, stepping out the booth as he unlocked the door and stepped on to the Casino floor. He was meant to be on duty, make sure this went smooth and all that, but he was sure he was more use down here looking for trouble makers rather than up on that glass booth of silence. He stretched, grinning at no one in general as he set off through the crowd. He was hoping this night would go smooth, but then again if it did there would be no need for him here.

"Time to find some trouble makers." He announced, more to himself really. He tilted his head as he walked, a thought popping in. "Maybe they'll be near the bar...Or that Pazzak table." Rubbing his hands together, he set off towards the former first, still chuckling as he received some odd looks. He didn't care much.

Alex hope and his friend Jack Verjeck had yet another successful bounty and quite a big reward to. Since Jack a frieands with people from the exchange and Alex the ADI they heared about the new casino were they could stay to lay low for a bit. So they went to the grand opening Alex always loved gambling but not Jack they each settled into a room Alex then heading to the casino and Jack falling asleep in his room. Alex walked through door and doors to find it but when he did it was paradise to him the one game on his mind was Pazzak he loved it he often played with his own deck. But seeing here he couldn't he said "I don't need it I forgot it anyway but I won't let that stop me no one I know of looking for me and hey might as well have a few drinks" so he started playing and drinking loseing credits winning them but even the thought of stoping never occurred due to the drinks he never drank much but when he did it was hard to stop at one. But he was having fun being one of the many screams and cheers in the casino just another guest having a good to. Later on that evening he dicided to go find somthing else to do than this so he started walking he knocked into someone and triped he got up an apologized to the figure he ran into "I'm sorry didn't see you there you alright?" He sat there waiting for a reply with the sound of cheering and exitement in the background.

As the casino opening night rolled into full swing, numerous patrons streamed in to partake of the festivities. For the most part, those within the casino gave the appearance of being very well off, many businessmen, trust fund children in adult bodies, even the occasional dignitary. Around the bar, one could obviously see a less reputable crowd. While not overtly distasteful in their appearance (as the casino had a vested interest in keeping those sorts out), there were a collection of rugged looking sentients dressed in cheap suits eyeballing those who entered, blasters hidden in their jacket pockets.

Supposedly Breezy the Warbler was to arrive soon to perform for the opening night, alongside a troupe of throwback crooners dressed in white suits wearing panama jacks, smoking deathsticks in a booth off to the side. Indeed, it seemed this casino would cater to quite a few different types. Now to see how things would unfold...

Now, this, this was how a civilized man spends an evening. Not slogging through the deserts of Ventooine, not battling hordes of genetically engineered horrors, not peddling spice to overweight Twi'Leks. Tonight, Vol was dressed in his finest, mingling with socialites and the easily impressed, enjoying the company of people who didn't smell like blood and blaster discharge. Granted, these kinds of people were still huddled in the corner near the main source of alcohol, because of course they were. While he was technically a member of their crowd, being a low-level Exchange agent. he possessed both the suave and the social skills to mingle with the classier section of the casino.

"And then I said: 'Dollface, I hate to break it to you, but those drinks were non-alcoholic!'" A roar of laughter arose from a crowd gathered around the one, the only, Pierce Allemn. A well practiced smile etched itself on his face as he chuckled along with the group at his own, admittedly, below par joke. But when one had money, and was surrounded by people that had likely already consumed a high degree of alcohol, anything one would say would funny. They all stood at a craps table with Pierce at the head, cradling the dice in his hands while being flanked by two very attractive women.

Turning to one of them, he gave her a quick kiss on the lips before she blew on the... dice, after which Pierce gave them a solid roll and toss on the table.

"Seven!"

A victorious group of cries emanated from the crowd, followed by Pierce picking up the dice again. 'Easy...'

Pierce was having a great time. Only a handful of people knew who he really was, outside of being the CEO of Allemn Holdings, which served as his official reason for being here. He 'wanted to ensure their flagship casino on Naboo started off right.' In reality, he needed to de-stress. No one here knew who he really was, namely the Director of the Exchange. And even if someone did, he was surrounded by enough security to ensure his safety, including his personal bodyguards. Although this was a legitimate Casino and Resort, there were enough Exchange lackies throughout this place to make even the Sector Rangers shudder.

All he'd have to do was utter the codeword all Exchange members had drilled into their head when a high profile asset of the Exchange was in danger, which would cause them all to spring into action even without knowing who exactly Pierce was.

But he sincerely doubted things would come to that. No one would barge into a casino to pull out a reputable business man. He took great pains to ensure nothing linked him with the Exchange, so that would be exactly what someone was doing if they had a mind. He had a team of lawyers to make that a regrettable decision for them in that event.

As these thoughts ran through his mind, he tossed the dice again.

"Eleven!"

'Of course it is you frakking twit.'

Amerath is sat down in the new casino which is Exchange property. He is enjoying the night due to all the exciting atmosphere, people and nice drinks. As much as he would like to, he can't afford to gamble so he has to sit at the bar quite lonely.
After finishing his drink, he says, "More please!"
In response, the bartender nods and proceeds to preparing anoth Corellian ale. If it wasn't for his boss being here, he would have sneakily stolen some money to then get down to some gambling. But doing that would be risky... Too risky...
"Here ya go!" comes a booming voice.
Amerath turns round to see his drink. He nods in thanks and begins to sip his drink.
