(OOC thread for members of the Exchange, and others, to meet up with each other and get to know one another. Based in the Grand Oasis Casino and Resort, of which a write-up can be found here)
Opening night at the Grand Oasis was something to behold. Species of all shapes and sizes dressed in their finest clothes chattered and mingled, floating gracefully around the main floor. The air was buzzing with conversation, laughter and the general noise of the casino floor. Pazzak was a massive hit it seemed, hordes of people flocking to the tournament tables to watch the games. Guarded by the plentiful security, then main floor was a haven for the rich and opportunistic.
Marcus meanwhile was sat in a mirrored booth with a pair of rather tiresome humans, who didn't like his jokes nor did they want to drink. It was a security booth, with banks of monitors and flashing lights, each showing various squares of video being pumped live from the cameras. Now Marcus knew there was a lot of camera's, but not this many. Showing a countless different angles, the pair sat there with their vid-visors on, flitting between channels and video feeds at the twitch of a finger. Marcus was impressed, but utterly bored. He stood, smiling as he patted himself down, feeling rather under-dressed as he looked out the mirrored glass.
"Right boys, I'm off to hit the tables. Might even have a drink or six, fancy some food?" He asked to their backs. He waited a while, but they never even turned around. He doubted he even heard him.
"I'm a Sith sent to destroy the world, bow before me." Marcus paused again, yet still nothing. He sighed, stepping out the booth as he unlocked the door and stepped on to the Casino floor. He was meant to be on duty, make sure this went smooth and all that, but he was sure he was more use down here looking for trouble makers rather than up on that glass booth of silence. He stretched, grinning at no one in general as he set off through the crowd. He was hoping this night would go smooth, but then again if it did there would be no need for him here.
"Time to find some trouble makers." He announced, more to himself really. He tilted his head as he walked, a thought popping in. "Maybe they'll be near the bar...Or that Pazzak table." Rubbing his hands together, he set off towards the former first, still chuckling as he received some odd looks. He didn't care much.
