Outside one of our residence halls, we found a litter of 6 kittens, 2-3 weeks old abandoned by their mother. Seeing as it's supposed to dip to the 30s tonight, and even with a mother they wouldn't survive that, we brought them inside and got a box, heating pad, and found an off-campus house to take them to until the shelter opens tomorrow.

4 boys, 2 girls. Beware, much cuteness lies in the spoiler.

I hate cats. But that first picture especially was pretty cute.

Adorable. I spent hours trying to lure a local stray kitten (probably 2-4 months old) into a pet carrier so we could bring them inside for the night. Little guy was just too world-weary to go for it. Made me very sad. Glad there are other people out there taking care of strays!

I love cats. Animals.

Also, you have a new-found spot in the "objects of some affection" place in my heart for rescuing them, duder. You're the man!

Also my guess is they may be younger. and you might have to feed them before shelter opens. Their eyes are still closed, so I think you'll have to bottle feed them.

Please make sure you do it right. you have to get formula for kittens and warm it up and use a little bottle for it. Don't try to give them cow milk, because it may kill them and if it's cold too.

Argh. Seeing kittens this young stresses me out they may not make it D: I'm a paranoid person for animals.

Their eyes opened after they warmed up a little. One of the girl's friend's mom is a vet, so she recommended either formula, or some mixture of egg white, cod liver oil and some other stuff. I only gave them a taste of hot milk since they were really cold to the touch.
