DESCRIPTION​

Built during the height of the Exiles war against the republic the Radiant class troop transport was used to move and land on the planet entire infantry companies with all there gear, equipment and vehicles. The Radiant was not meant to land in to a battle field, instead groups of them would land some distance away to deploy the ground forces. The radiant's would then form part of the forward operating base. The blaster canons adding to its anti air defense and the ships them self providing some of the structures of the FOB


The slow nature of the Radiant and the sluggish movement means it needs a escort to protected as it moves from planet to planet. On the ground it will all so need time to unload the vehicles and equipment through the loading ramp. Meaning the landing zones is often far from the expected front line. Though with the war over the new users often have to bring them closer to the front and if attacked the radiant still has strong shields and armor and the three dual blaster canons are able to unload a lot of fire power.


With the war over many radiant's end up in the hand of slavers, mercenaries, pirates even a few planetary deference forces.
