BIOGRAPHY
A zealous insect from the far unknowns, it came to Raze to worship him as a god of darkness, destruction, and evolution. Though its inherent Force sensitivity was weak, through the pain and terror of becoming Exalted they would become uplifted.
Praise Be, he on high, who begins and ends all things at his whim.
Personality
Deeply mad, the Herald is a being named only for its role in Raze's black court. A priest and literal herald, it prays and it announces arrivals, whether guests or Raze's itself. Where Raze or Gareth goes the Herald is not often far behind, trailing in his footsteps and ensuring he receives the proper reverence.
As Exalted, the Locust is near-mindless with rage, fury, and the desire to gorge on the sorrow and terror of its victims. Ruthlessly aggressive, but with animal cunning to match its smaller (than most exalted) insectile form, it shows no mercy and fears neither death nor pain.
Abilities
The Herald possesses only a weak Force connection, good for enhanced senses, physical abilities, and some mental tricks. It has no capacity for telekinesis, magic, or any of the deeper mysteries. It is otherwise an exemplary herald and clerk for Raze. In this form it usually avoids a direct fight. Although it has sharp claws and mandibles, and hard chitin, its species is weaker than humans on average. Instead, it prefers to fly safely away on wasp-like wings to transform into-
The Locust, a horrible insect. It possesses four combat limbs: Two humanoid arms with long, hook claws, and two mantis-like frontal appendages meant for impaling, slashing, and grappling. In this form it has all the basic Force abilities, including telekinesis, as well as the Exalted specialties. In this form, its wings cannot carry it and mostly serve as a very loud thread display.
