Damon Crow strode through the backstreets of Taris in his typical longcoat, finery and wide flared boots, remembering better days. Better days for Taris, when the world had not been quite so choked on its own decay, and better days for him, when the name Damon Crow had been known across the Rim.
He had worn more than one name in those days of course, but nearly thirty years of incarceration had a way of erasing most of one's repute. He would put that right soon enough, but he would have to start small, as he had several times in the countless lifetimes he had led.
It been hard to break out of his confinement, harder still to recover his personal affects from the jailor's grasp. But now he was a free man once again, with fresh opportunities and a return to sailing the stars in his sights. The men he was meeting today were new to him, most of this galaxy's up and coming were, but their brief message held promise. It was a poor pirate who turned down promise on account of unfamiliarity with the promisor.
Reaching the Freems Place cantina, Damon stepped inside, leaning over to a heavy standing just inside the door.
"I be reading often of Gentis Freem's hospitality and good company" he smiled, a mischievous glint in his eye "perhaps you be so kind to tell me where I might find the man. Does a pirate no good to stand at the bar too long".
