Quill had missed the last sequence of fighting; he had ran in search of his ship so that he may alert the council of the Dark Lords whereabouts. He ran with Force-enhanced speed and agility as he jumped from limb to lokmb gracefully before seeing the mercenary...and hearing the heartbeat of the man behind him.

Quill knew that this was sith, and had to intervene before the mercenary was slain. He took a mighty leap and landed gracefully behind the sith assassin. The Gen'Dai ignited his saber and stood in an agressive-back stance: the initial form of Makashi. As he readied himself for battle, he cleared his mind and focused only on his Makashi and Soresu techinques.

((Okay, who do you think you are? You can't crush a lightsaber withouyt breaking my hand. I already stated it was so into my grasp the hilt was not visible. Also, even if you could, you seriously think you could dart of a force lightning all of a sudden, and block the DL without looking at him? I call that a little bit of godmodding.))

With the Force traversing every nerves of his body to enhance the speed of his thoughts and actions, it took little to no effort for the Assassin to locate the Jedi, who, raised in the impersonal and sacrificial way of his order, had daringly come to the rescue of this Bounty Hunter, who in exchange would have done little more than take the Master’s head for the sake of credits, to such intent even, that it had been simple as this in fact, to read both their thoughts while his alert mind prevented another’s probing examination to see through the shadows he had erected around him… Even though his naked thoughts alone could have proved difficult to read, as it had driven others to madness.

Doing as little as unsheathing a second blade from his belt, the other pressed itself dangerously against the Mercenary’s lower jaw, its razor rising up threateningly, forcing both the Hunter and his captor up to prevent it from drawing anything other thing than a thin line of blood across the Hunter’s throat.

Without giving as much as a glance towards his new adversary, for he needed none to look at him through the Force, the Assassin took it upon himself to brake the fragile silence that had established itself between them as a prelude to the eternal stillness that would eventually take either of them this day, if the Jedi believed beyond doubt in his ways-and that of his enemy.

“Are you truly willing to risk this one’s life to take my own, Jedi?”

He dropped his stance completely. Quill had not thought of this outcome. The duty of the jedi was saving and protecting others, not killing sith. Quill had not been exposed to a sith by himself before, and was not prepared. He could feel something odd in the sith's aura, and being the curious and knowldege-thirsting Gen'Dai, it intrigued him.

"Release him sith! You need not take his life. Me and him both have the same idea on our minds: to kill the sith lord. Mercenaries tend to give up when caught, but the jedi devotes his life to protecting the innocent, and stopping the spread of evil through the galaxy. If you killl him and flee, I'd just come back. If you release him, he'll never return. Make your choice." Quill resumed and agressive-back stance, ready for defense.

The assassin remained silent towards the Jedi’s loss of words, although inwardly he cursed this one’s stupidity for having dropped his guard so low; first his mental barriers, and now his stance… He needn’t think far to theorize already why the Jedi had been crushed so easily under his sire’s heel. It would have been so easy to unbalance the Mercenary and reverse the polarization of the firing chamber of his blaster to send them both to oblivion as a lesson for their idiocy, although one could hardly learn if he lived no longer…

Chuckling inwardly at his own thoughts as much as the Jedi’s words, only the most complete of silence could be heard, nearly oppressing them with its compelling presence until Apèr callously answered Quill’s statement.

“You are one to assume much, Jedi.” He coldly pointed, dreadfully rising the razor at the Hunter’s throat, although not quite yet enough to shed the life from his veins before echoing a faint chuckle, and releasing his victim with a violent punch towards the Jedi to push him into his savior’s arms.

Now standing face to face, although it could change little to the Jedi’s perspective since his opponent’s visage was hidden under a shroud of bandages covering everything to such an extent that even the small orifice where the eyes should have been laid hidden by an opaque shadow, leaving little to the eye-and the mind, to read the Sith’s possible reactions.

“There is nothing to be gained in your valiant act against the Dark Lord… Not now.” He remarked uninterestingly, as if speaking matter-of-factly. “Nor is there any into the killing of either you, or this one…” He continued at length with a nearly invisible gesture of his head to designate them as he spoke.

Sheathing both blades in the layers of his belt, he turned around to admire the prowess of his other brethrens, having wasted enough of his time with both of them, he deemed their death undeserving for the time, even against his Dark Lord’s wishes although he firmly believed such betrayal obsolete considering Nefarius’s attention was drawn to more… Pressing matters.

“Be gone, and live to fight another day if you truly wish to see an end to what you have pledged your life to destroy. Now get out of my sight, and leave silently, for I shall not be as clement dare our paths meet again.” He pressed on. Crossing his arms across his chest, he could only hope that the Jedi see the logic he implied by leaving him at peace in silence… something he had failed to do in his initial approach; to hide his presence through the Force and frame his death through the senses of the other Masters.

Indeed, he wished that the Jedi had kept some of their wits to themselves…

Quill stood and realized the truth in the siths words. He had, for the first itme in his life, experienced a feeling that he had never felt before. He felt unworthy. The way this sith just brushed him aside like he was no threat at all was an immense change. Every jedi took even a sith apprentice seriously, but he, under the teachings of the jedi, had not even gained prowess in the eyes of an enemy. He deactivated his saber, sat down, and watched the sith duel. Not knowing what else to do, he just hoped that the sith assassin did not view this as persistancy to fighting him. He was just completely overwhelmed, and utterly confused. In his mind, he began to question the teachings of the jedi order, something he thought he would never do.

“You may not see tomorrow to continue this self-searching of yours, Jedi…” He declared again in a frightening calm as he felt the inner conflict within the man’s very core, there was doubt; a vain hope to which he desperately clung to fight the inner demons that had awoken in his soul, already starting to consume him with uncertainty. Were the Jedi truly this lost?

While his chaotic thoughts assured a cover for the would-be-murder, the persisting presence of the Jedi at his side began to aggravate him; he sent a focused wave of his hate directly within the mind of the Master before continuing more persistently as his patience began to grow thin.

“On your life, you should escape while the Dark Lord’s worries does not resolve around you; seek me on Rhen Vhaar, should you wish to reconsider your future…” He flashed the Jedi with a glance, the color of his eyes finally appearing through the haze of darkness that had previously shrouded them behind a veil of mystery, although now, it could leave one to wonder if this illusion was not purposefully done to hide the atrocity that laid beneath; an eye, radiating of an inhuman color like the iris of a vulture, as cold and unforgiving as the glare of death itself, had it been attributed any pair of eyes… They reflected upon Quill’s form like a mirror, although unlike a mirror they did not echo his present, but rather imaged his future as he laid held by the throat by the inhuman monster that was Darth Nefarius, gasping for breath before the Dark Lord would bleed the life out of his throat through a sheer act of the Force… The vision disappearing as the moment of his death arrived in the gaze of the Assassin.

“Now take my word and leave!” He yelled out in rage as he dangerously gripped at one of the handles at his belt, the next draw intent on spilling its share of blood dared the Jedi persist.

Quill was a slow learner, but the resolve in the sith's words was strong and clear. He stood and walked off.

Rhen Vhaar, sounds good. All I have to do now is get off of this planet, and figure out where Rhen Vharr is, if it actually exists.

By the time Quill had made up his mind about the sith's proposal, he was far away from where the battle was. The lightsabers could no longer be seen, even with his Gen'Dai senses, from where he was.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Darth Nefarius @ Jan 23 2007, 10:34 PM) </div>
No sooner had the reverberation of the blows sunk into silence that the Dark Lord already settled himself, and with entire deliberation, into another offensive. His crimson lightsabers whirled about the wretched Sith's head, at such a speed that the light and heat rippling thereof seemed to unify forthwith into a new dreadful entity. In a milisecond the chaotic storm of lacerating energy would reach his body.
OOC Well I think we've waited long enough for Steel.

*A thousandth of a second. That is the amount of time he has to react to the storm that is the Dark Lord's attack. He directs the Force into himself, years drop away, senses expand, his physical power becomes infinite, fatigue an impossibility, time itself seems to slow for him. His bloodshine blade become a haze of red fire as it rose to deflect the first of the Dark Lord's strikes. He then started a whirling dance of block and parry to combat the Dark Lord's continued offensive, blocking once and striking twice. Never staying in the a same place or position for more than a second. If the Dark Lord attempted to try and fight as if he was facing Jedi, he would be slaughtered. That is the skill of Sam Raider.*
