The Hunt for the Tessents: The Alsakan Tessent

Asalla was standing by the window of the transport shuttle, she was admiring the bright blue lines, which were in fact starts. The shuttle was enroute to the Moddell Sector, or more specifically the planet Sarafur. She along with three others, from who she had only met jedi kngiht Sam Kisgart. The young padawan decided that now was a good a time as any to make her acquaintance with the others. She turned to them, wearing her brown jedi cloak, with her leather clothing underneath it and her newly constructed lightsaber, clipped on her belt. Her old one was blue and she had recieved it when training as an initiate, but lost it during a mission on Nar Shaddaa. Luckily that same mission included retrieving a box of saber crystals, from which she was given one, a green one, to put into her new lightsaber.

Asalla - "I`m pleased to see you again, master Sam and to the rest of you, my name is Asalla Loani and it`s a pleasure to meet you."

She knew that Sam wasn`t a master, but calling him knight sounded strange and she did think of his, as a sort of a secondary teacher, for he had thaught her much, even without knowing it, during the mission to Commenor. Asalla was now better trained too. She had some knowledge of force heal and absorb, which could both come in handy in a mission, where nothing was clear. The planet they were going to was a desert wasteland, with ancient ruins, among which tehy had to look for artifacts, or clues of artifacts. It was going to be an interesting expirience no doubt. Asalla nodded to that thought and turned around to look out of the window again.

Knight Voluntas was very glad to finally be on the move again. He sat in the corner on a window sill meditating quietly. The large cool open room of the shuttle was a familiar sight to Validus. He always liked traveling it meant hours of quiet time perfect for meditating. At least most of the time it did. This missions promised to be an extremely interesting one and since he was supposed to be one of the leaders he knew that he should eventually address the rest of the team. He was extremely tired and was close to falling asleep until a voice pierced into his conscious awareness. It was the padawan Asalla. His flicked upon and he glanced quickly over to the padawan and then over to the other two. To his knowledge, he had never met any of them.

He listened to the padawan and then spoke "It is a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Validus Voluntas." He did not bother to state his rank. He was sure that they all knew it by now. "I am sure this will be a very interesting mission, valuable for learning, and successful. We must function as a team. Even though two of us are technically to be in charge we are not to be your baby sitters. You must think and decide things for yourself if this mission is to be successful. There are two phrases which I have firmly believed throughout my career the first is that 'the pin is mightier than the sword'. and the second is that 'your brain is your best weapon'. As these phrases suggest, we must think and make good decisions first and foremost if we are to be successful. But also, we should endeavor to communicate well and often and to attempt to talk our way through situations before we start fighting. Fighting should be left as a last resort. I will not bore you with any more boring details, grand speeches or irrelevant instructions. Do your best, think before you act, and show some initiative and we will do well."

Validus wondered how the other knight would respond. Some had a more aggressive style but on the whole stealth and intelligence were greater weapons than lightsabers in most situations. He assumed that the other knight would say something if he disagreed.
