The Hutt Plot: Kyber Krystals Krisis
Part I

Some of the most precious items in the Galaxy, the pure crystal which powers the light-saber, forming the solid core of this ancient and venerable weapon. However, what escapes the notice of many, is just how these Crystals find their way from the Slave mines into the hands of the Force Users who put them to use. This is but one tale of such an exchange.....

JubJub
Participants: @Nor'baal @Caligula @Commissar Brett (2)

One the distant world of Rodia lies a simple yet important shipping yard, within which lies items of immeasurable worth, held by the mighty Shipping Mogul and Slaver N'gula - a Rodian of some considerable renown. However, the mighty Rodian must rely on others in order to peddle his wares through Republic Space, due to his slaver status, and indeed to get them as far as the Sith Orders region to the north. As such, he has agreed to meet with Ambassador Nor'baal Desajilic Koragga, to discuss the terms by which they might do business together, and see the Kyber Crystals sold to those who desire them most.

However, before the formal meetings can take place, there is an ancient tradition to uphold, known by the somewhat comedic name 'JubJub' a humorous name for a terrible act - Blood Combat. Before any such negotiation can take place, the two parties must nominate a 'Champion' to take the arena, and fight (some times to the death), the winner the claims the 'upper hand' for this negotiator, who may then pitch second - thus allowing them more time to consider, and counter the offers of their rival.

In the sight of the Hutt and his associates, you shall perform the 'JubJub'!

OOC Note: This is a PvP thread, but it is not death enabled (as JubJub which sees the death of prized combatants who are key to a negotiation is kinda pointless). However, there can be injuries of the combatants of course. My posting will - once the fight starts - be limited, and the start of the fight will clearly be stated by me, with a single post from my main account, saying ''Fight Commences''.

It had been some time since the Hutt had left Nal Hutta, or the Embassy on Coruscant, to go to this odd world known as 'Rodia' and he was making sure to arrive in style (or at least the Hutt interpretation of the concept) aboard a Minstrel Class Star Yacht that he had 'borrowed' from the Embassy Motor-Pool for this occasion. Deep within its confined, the Hutt however could not be found, for he was making last minute plans for the forthcoming negotiation, one that he thought would prove most eventful indeed, and as such he was in the departure bay of the vessel, ready to leave the moment it touched down - lounging on a hover-sled.

Only one guard would come with the Hutt on this occasion, and the same had been said in the pre-meeting communications to the person with whom he was meeting. If his meeting partner was attending with more than one person, the entire meeting would be called off, and the other party blacklisted with a bounty, and vica-versa. He nodded to his champion (@Caligula) who would have a vital part to play in the day as it unfurled before them, for the sentient would serve as the Hutts champion in the incoming JubJub.

The yacht landed, and the Hutt hovered out, resting at the bottom of the ramp just below the front lip of the vessel - and waiting for the other parties vessel to arrive on the large plain with would serve as their meeting place.

Rika was practically buzzing with excitement as she stood restlessly in the departure bay of the Hutt's ship. She was there for two reasons. One, she got to fight someone for sport and not get in trouble for it. And two, she had been hired by a big name in the galaxy, Nor'baal Vesajilic. Being a mercenary who took, less than usual jobs, the Hutt's name came up more often than you'd think. Rika had always had a crazy streak given her unusual history, so oddly enough she had gotten along rather well with the Hutt. Their brief chat one night lead to the job offer, which Rika had quickly accepted.

She had dressed for the occasion the same way she did for any other fight. She wore her mercenary armor, which covered everything but her head and face and left little to the imagination. Underneath the armor, should she need to take it off for a fair fight, she wore a sleeveless leather shirt that clung tightly to her body as well as a matching pair of pants. She'd fight barefoot if she had to, she just wanted to fight. Her mastery of CQC and retractable claws as well as her superhuman abilities made her an excellent brawler. Today, she'd display her skills as a combat specialist.

She hadn't met her opponent yet, but that didn't matter to her. She was confident she could beat anyone. She had a trump card after all...

She stood next to her sponsor, or at least as close as she could manage given the Hutt's repulsive stench. It was moments like this that made her regret having a hyper sensitive nose. She crossed her arms and waited for the other group to arrive, tossing the snow white hair out of her cold, crimson eyes as she waited. She didn't realize it, but a cold, mischievous smile had plastered itself to her face as she starred at the sky.

Silas knew of the lucrative value of Kyber Crystals. Silas understood the value of them, and so did others. That meant people wanted to buy his. He had agreed to meet the Hutt, Nor'baal, under an alias, that alias being simply Little Finger. The Hutt would not know the contact number, the face of the person he was meeting, or even the Senator's identity. Silas would attend wearing a completely neutral outfit so as to dissolve his undisputable involvement in the affair. The entirely unmarked and off-the-books X-70B Phantom (with modern upgrades) approached the planet with its stealth systems active.

As they approached the Minstrel-Class yacht, Silas' pilot gave the authorisation code and they were permitted to dock in the landing bay. The Phantom glided almost noiselessly onto the deck and extended its landing gear. The ramp lowered and Silas remained in the ship, while Little Finger stepped. His shoes met the durasteel floor and he waved across the expanse, immediately spotting Nor'baal.

"Nor'baal, fancy meeting you here!" He mocked, his voice distorted intensely. It sounded almost as if 3 men and 2 women were trying to speak at the same time through the external speakers. He would be completely unrecognizable. "I must ask, I am allowed to have one personal guard in addition to my champion, correct?" He inquired as his Champion walked down the ramp.

Noah had been asked by this "Little Finger" to be his champion in some sort of duel. Noah had no idea who this guy was, or how he knew Jacen, but he frankly didn't care too much. The pay would be extremely good, and he was getting to brush up on his single-combat. He rarely fought against a single opponent at a time, and even more rarely that they'd be any sort of match for him.

He strolled out dressed in what would appear to be a dark red trench coat with various pouches and straps and fatigues of armourweave. What he actually was wearing, however, was a set of heavily altered Mandalorian CCT Armour with aesthetic modifications to take the Mando out of the look. On his shoulder was slung his particle beam carbine with its cortosis handguard, and he carried two blaster pistols; his main was in its shoulder-holster under his trench coat, and the other was tucked into his boot. On his back, buried under several layers but still reachable if he truly needed it, was his old lightsaber. He prayed he'd never have to use it, but he would if he had no other choose. His large combat vibroknife was sheathed across his chest at an angle on one of his bandoleers.

As he stepped onto the floor, he felt his opponent.

Vampire... What a cheap trick that is...
He noted to himself to make a conscious effort to guard his energy from the pale woman's naturally draining tendencies. This would be one hell of a fight. She's old... He thought to himself. Very old...

Despite all his efforts to disguise himself - which would no doubt work on his champion, but given that the man not only knew his name, and was someone who he had personally requested to meet with - Nor'baal could see through it with ease, for why else would he have asked to meet with 'The Broker', a man with a reputation to uphold in making business deals. Regardless, he would play the mans game, so as to ensure that the champions gathered would not leak Silas Armories 'other life' to the press.

Nodding with respect as he saw the man approach, Silas Armory would be the one to broker the deal on behalf of the Rodian to whom the Crystals Nor'baal desired belonged. He ignored the mans comment about not bringing additional guards, for it was foolish at the very least, and instead cut straight to the matter at hand - business.
<Let us not dally. Our men must perform the opening combat before the negotiations can commence, here will suffice I hope?> he asked.

Rika's crimson eyes scanned the two men who approached, paying extra attention to the one who was to be her opponent. A red trench coat hid his armor but Rika could tell that he'd be an interesting opponent. He seemed well built, both physically and mentally, and he appeared to be frowning at her. She suddenly felt a subtle wave of energy roll over her, the way it reacted when someone used the Force. Someone had checked her over. She raised an eyebrow as she tried to pinpoint the user. She finally decided that it had been the other champion. A force user? She thought to herself. She suddenly licked her lips. Looks tasty. She thought to herself as the idea of all that energy made her give off a sinister smile. She was getting more excited by the minute.

The broker's voice was heavily distorted, so much so that Rika had trouble deciding which voice was the real one. Her hyper sensitive ears were good, but they could only listen to so much. She decided it wasn't important and stepped forward at the mention of starting the fight. Her fangs were clearly visible now as her smile grew. She began to do a few little pre-fight stretches; crossing her arms, stretching her legs and getting loose in general. While she waited, she watched her opponent and tried to make a plan against him.

"I believe this field to be most satisfactory." The Broker replied, knowing what the fight would entail.

He felt something off about his Champion's opponent, but thought no more of it when she stepped forward. He waved over M4RCUS from the top of the boarding ramp, who brought with him two service droids. One brought a reclined and cushioned leather chair on a repulsorsled, the other brought a tray of drinks. All the droids were using their ocular sensors to record the fight for reviewing purposes later.

Noah stepped forward. He unslung his rifle, thumbed the power-safety and the weapon gave a short whine as it powered up. He checked the ammo counter in his HUD-visor (a holodisplay like glasses); power pack full. He unholstered his blaster pistol, checked it's readings. He left his backup in his boot, knowing he'd checked it before landing. He patted the various storages on his person to verify he had everything he needed, even reaching behind him to reconfirm his lightsaber's presence. His helmet reconstructed around his head from the back of his armour.

He readied himself, moving about in his armour and pacing back and forth, hyping himself up for the coming combat. He resisted the drain from the vampire as best he could, but he knew it'd be hard. This was gonna task him greatly, he didn't think he was ready to die... Or maybe he was. The fresh cuts on his chest threatened to reopen with the vigorous fighting.

"COME ON!" He bellowed, eager to get it over with. "LET'S 'AVE IT!"
