The Inner Darkness

[Kath]

A lone man sat on a bench in the temple. All other Acolytes stayed far from him for fear of his inner anger. One Acolyte had the gaul to approach the man. Before this inferior sat down he was lifted into the air and thrown across the hall. The man showed no emotion. He sensed the ones who were worth nearby. Kath, the man on the bench, waited for the one whom he knew would come to teach him and unleash his full potential.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

It had adopted a lean appearance. A black robe tied loosely with a red sash. It's hood hung so to cover it's face. Half of it's face was covered with a mask. The other half was that of a man who held no resemblance to any normal human, but it could have once been Alsakan.

Mask stalked the temple. It watched for it's newest charge. A new Acolyte to attend it. It halted and turned to face the lone Acolyte, "You." It said and pointed. It's finger turned to motion for the young man to follow and walked away. They would find their way deeper into the temple. Down a series of tunnels that slowly crept downwards. Darkness overcame them and the force guided them to their final destination.

The sound of footsteps halted and in the ceiling a lightsaber ignited. No hand grasped it's blade, it's glow illuminated the figure below it. "You are my new charge... You will serve and obey me until you are dead or I lose interest. What is your name." It spoke aggressively. It seemed almost as if it were angry at the very presence of this young Acolyte.

 

[Kath]

Kath followed the man silently. Anger resonating off him. Sensing the anger of the man, Kath fed off it. The glorious anger was like his own personal death stick.

This is the one. I will feed off his anger for a long time. It will release me and my full potential will be unlocked.

"My name is Kath..." he projected the words painfully and directly into the man's mind. "My anger is everlasting and must be unleashed upon the Jedi."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

It smiled, "In due time the jedi will be our prey, but for now you are mine. You will kill Jedi only when I instruct you. You will also SPEAK." With that it whipped it's arms out and let loose a powerful wave of kinetic energy. "I will not allow you the privilege of speaking with the force."

 

[Kath]

Kath was thrown back and hit the wall behind him. Now he was angry.

Ah yes. The glorious anger is coming forth!

"No...I shall not speak. Nor shall I take such treatment from you!" Kath yelled through the Force.

Then Kath let out a powerful wave of his own quickly followed by the ignition of his blade.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

With the force wave it allowed it to flow. Taking flight with the wave it landed far from the light. It's location remained hidden in the darkness. In the darkness it waited for the foolish acolyte to attack. The moment he attacked he would find lightning coursing up his body. The fool stood little chance against his master.

 

[Kath]

Kath stopped. He waited and expanded his senses attempting to locate the man. He strode to the middle of the room and opened himself up to the Dark Side. The Force burst from him in one massive wave and spread throughout the room. The floor cracked beneath it's power.

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

The energy would not be long lived as lightning struck from the darkness. A hand of Mask was extended. The poor acolyte would be helpless against such an advanced technique. "If you submit now I may let you live."

 

[Kath]

Kath withered in pain on the floor. He fed off of it, made it his power. Yet, this would not fit into his plans. Death was not part of his grand scheme. Kath projected this messgae throught the Force. "I submit Master. Teach me the ways to unleash my inner darkness, I beg you."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"You will speak!" Another bolt of lightning seared the man. After that he raised his arm, lifting him with the force and turning him to face Mask. "But for now I have one task for you. I have been following one former leader of our order. She was ours in the time of the Ospion. At that time she was strong and charismatic, but now she returns to them. The Jedi will begin their search for us and you will be bait." It paused for the Acolytes reaction.

 

[Kath]

Kath once again spasmed in pain as the lightning hit him. He laughed. At this point he spoke to the man. "I speak to only those who show me that they are powerful enough for me to show respect. You have shown me that." Kath stood as the lightning ceased. "What do you have in mind, Master?"

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

"I have a number of things in mind. They will be hunting her when she escapes. You will guide her to safety. Do not allow her to know of your presence. Hide yourself until the Jedi are most vulnerable then strike and slow them. Now go."
