The amount of controversy this movie is causing in so many people and groups really surprises me...

For some reason when I read it it almost seemed like the tone and voice that Anonymous uses when they make threats like that. I feel like the grammar mistakes were odd, like odd enough they sounded forced.

Either way, Sony's really getting the shaft from it all. I'm curious to see if all of this will make the movie a ton of money from people seeing it due to all the publicity or if the threats will actually scare people away.

I cannot say it is in proper taste to film a movie where a current nation's leader, whom they consider god, be viciously assassinated. But tastelessly insulting social groups is never viewed as a problem for the movie industry. But isn't SONY owned by Japan? This certainly could feed into the tension there.

On a side note, the threat to attack the Internet reminds me of this past summer. I was searching the web for a new bathing suit. One site I tried to enter had been hacked by religious zealots who felt obligated to inform me that I'm wicked and should repent straight away (for wanting to swim in proper clothing material) for their godd sees everything I do.

The Internet has only existed for half my life. If it were gone tomorrow, I'd be sad. The boredom I'll experience, will be cured by doing other things. But I certainly will live. As for the movie, same thing if I don't go see it.

I remember when anonyms threat to attack south African government web sits. They stopped when it looked like no one gave a crap. It was not even reported in ANY sa Media sources. So ignoring them is a perfect answer.

N. Korea already puts people into work camps for having American and Soutb Korean movies on thumbdrives. It's a big black market there. It's not a matter of them thinking the Kim family are divine, it's a matter of fear and being told to believe that.

If it's one thing the American populace refuses to take seriously, it's threats from people who are too afraid to even show their faces. As a country and a people we refuse to get pushed around by bullies making idle threats. A lot of people will see this out of sheer defiance of these "terrorists" and no other reason.
