The dust blew over the sandy dunes of Tatooine, not too far from a city stood a lonely shack made from scrap metal and stone. The winds blew sands all across it making a soft scraping sound. Standing alert next to the shack was a hunched creature wrapped in rags and metal. It's name was Dip. A foreigner to most Dip made his decision to build outside of town to keep the staring eyes of strangers from him. Some mistook him for a Jawa while others thought him to be a deformed being. He rarely sought out their attention unless he needed to get some food.

Dip began to pace around the perimeter of his property to check on his traps. He was trying his hardest to keep hostile creatures away from his humble abode and the traps he set usually did the trick. The traps were a series of old blasters arranged set to stun trespassers when they were triggered. Dips search yielded no results today which made him breath a sigh of relief.

Dip went inside the shack and took count of his possessions. Everything was accounted for so no sneaky clever creature made it past his traps. HE sat down and lifted his mask and set aside his rifle before he pulled out a box from beneath his workbench. He opened the box to reveal his stash of credits he had earned from miscellaneous labours. His progress was slow going but he was surviving and saving. He took a handful from his box and stuffed them into his ragged robes before closing the box and hiding it again. Taking up his rifle again and lowering the mask Dip decided to head to the city. Dip stepped out of his shack and hopped onto his small one person speeder, starting it up and heading off.

Dip soon arrived at the city and stopped over to the cantina. He hopped off of the speeder, kicking up dust beneath his mechanical feet and stepped into the cantina, hoping for another shot at finding his ride off of the planet.

Vekk glared at the dust brown surface of Tattooine. Against the backdrop of space it seemed petty. Vekk thought it fitting, his mouth twisting downwards in disgust at the thought of the scum that lived there. True, not all that lived here were greedy, manipulative, shebs. But those that lived here were weak, and wished for nothing more than to try and carry on being weak in peace. There was no such thing. People hurt other people, no two ways about it, it just happened that way. Those unwilling to defend themselves would continue to get hurt by no fault but of their own.

People hurting other people, no Vekk thought. It was more like monsters hurting people. Sure there were bad people, but bad people could change, could be good. At least Vekk wanted to believe that. Monsters on the other hand sprung up all around like weeds, and needed to be ripped from the world just like such. That's what had led Vekk to Tattooine, monster hunting.

Vekk's thought was suddenly interrupted as his comm spat out static. "Approaching vessel, state your designation and reason for entering Mos Eisley spaceport." A tired voice announced. "Transport class vessel, designation Brigand" Vekk replied. "Reason for entering Mos Eisley spaceport." The voice droned again. Vekk paused, if stated his business the Hutts would undoubtedly give him trouble, a lot of it. Thinking for a brief moment he finally answered back "Monster hunting." The port authority obviously tired of the exchange replied haggardly "Fine, bay C-16. Your transponder codes will be checked upon landing and a tax will be levied against all goods being sold. Welcome to Mos Eisley." The static cut, and the comms gave a small click as the operator severed their conversation.

Vekk allowed the ships systems to guide the approach, gripping the controls as the ship jerked about from the descent through the planet's atmosphere. Then sliding the yoke forward and just abit back, swinging the ship in a downward arch, coming about above landing bay C-17. Powering down the thrusters, Vekk eased the ship down into the bay carefully, a snug fit. Vekk sincerely hoped he wouldn't need to make any quick getaways, as he wished to not need any repairs made any time soon.

Unstrapping himself from the pilot's seat Vekk made his way down the lift to the lower deck. Making a quick stop to the cargo hold and grabbing his precious S-5's from the work bench and sliding them comfortably into their holsters at his hips. His gear accounted for, Vekk made his way down the ships ramp and out into the bay where two armed men awaited. The one on the left a Rodian, the other a Trandoshan, neither of them of very good hygene. The Trandoshan spoke up "You pay 500 credits, we go away" His basic coming out strained. They must be the port authority Vekk thought to himself. Tilting his head to the side, and in an instant pulling out his pistols, training his pistols on each of the thugs. "Or I shoot you and go about my business. Your call." The two thugs, shocked, nearly fell to the ground. "Fine we leave, but we be back" The Trandoshan shouted as he fled.

Vekk knew there would be repercussions, the hutts didn't take kindly to their help getting stiff armed. But vekk didn't appreciate them right back. Making his way out of the bay, he set off into a half jog for the cantina where his contact was to fill him in on his bounty's location.

Finally arriving at the nearby cantina, Vekk brushed his way past a slew of aliens at the entry, and making his way to the bar where he was ro meet his contact. He hadn't arrived yet, but Vekk figured he's wait awhile for the old Duros to show. Vekk didn't wait very long before the Duros materialized from a dark corner. Vekk sat up from the bar and approached him "Where is he?" Vekk coolly inquired. "Not here, at least not anymore. Imperials dragged him off afew hours ago after he started a fight with one of 'em." The Duros shook Vekk's hand and disappeared out of the cantina.

That was the end of this hunt, Vekk clenched his fists, the leather of his gloves squeaking as he did."Damn." Vekk grumbled to himself, before dropping into an empty booth. Vekk hadn't traveled far to get here, but still he was upset the bounty had been snatched from him like that. No doubt dead by now, tossed out of an airlock or beaten beyond recognition."Time to find another job" He mumbled to himself as he pulled up his wristpad, searching for some other way to profit his trip to this sinkhole of a planet.

Dip

Dip sat near the entrance keeping an eye on those who entered. The cantinas were always popular for bounty hunters it seemed. These were the kind of people Dip knew would be his ticket off of Tatooine, and not only that but perhaps it would be how he could start his new life. Dip had always thought of the rewards and thrilling tales of the bounty hunters he had previously encountered before. That sort of life seemed perfect for what he desired.

Hours passed and most individuals he had questioned shook off his offer to take him. Today seemed like any other day it seems. Dip was frustrated now, so he decided to finally buy a drink. As he stepped off of his seat however he was pushed aside by an armoured individual who seemed to have little regard for him and anyone else in his way to the counter to sit down. Could this have been another bounty hunter? Dip needed to find out as he was given yet another chance.

Dip came up to the bar counter and ordered his drink in a hasty few words. He picked a seat as close to the new individual as he could and climbed atop of it waiting for his drink. Dip flipped open his metal mask and leaned onto the counter to keep an eye on the individual. He was now speaking to what appeared to be a client. Narrowing his eyes and leaning back satisfied Dip looked back to the counter as his drink was passed to him at last. He lifted the glass and tossed the liquid into his face and swallowed it quickly as it pooled into his mouth. Dip slapped the credits onto the counter and hopped off of his seat to get closer to the stranger.

The mans client was gone and he was staring at a device on his wrist. Dip gripped his rifle tightly and spoke up to the man. "Are you a bounty hunter?" his voice cracked sounding hoarse and dry. Dip asked as bluntly as he could. He did not like speaking to these individuals regardless of his intentions to do business with them. "If you are I would like to hire your services." Dip stood still and waited for the mans response, still holding his rifle tightly.

The more and more Vekk searched, the more and more less likely finding a job on Tattooine seemed. That is until Vekk heard a hoarse voice called out to him "Are you a bounty hunter? If you are I'd like to hire your services."

Vekk looked over to see who the voice had belonged to. His gaze meeting a set of luminescent eyes. "Am I a bounty hunter he asks. You are a he right? At any rate I'm THE bounty hunter. Neyo Vekk by name. If you don't know who I am you're either new to the outer rim or drunk." Vekk paused for a moment before adding "Or been living under a rock. What can I do for you friend?"

Dip replied in brief. "No I am not new to outer rim. I have never heard of you but if you indeed so glorious then you are perfect for job." Dip pulled out the handful of credits in his rags and held them up to the bounty hunter. "This is fraction of what I am willing to pay you for my request if you accept." Dip clenched the credits in hand again and and decided to stop beating around the bush. "I have been living on dusty planet for many cycles. I want to leave, but I want to leave as a bounty hunter. If you so great..." he paused momentarily and inspected the man again. ...Then you can teach me what I want to know." He stuffed the credits back into his rags again and clenched his rifle tightly, looking upon the man with a determined gaze.

Vekk wasn't quite sure how to respond to the request. Some parts between being flattered and confused. Just as he was about to turn down the strange alien's request, he noticed something about him. Vekk couldn't be sure what it was about the mysterious being, an air of determination. Well that settled it. If he could handle the training then Vekk would train him. Vekk pushed the man's handful of credits back towards him. "You're goin to need those in favor of some better equipment. You wanna get off this dustball in my ship, you're gonna have to cross the Hutts. Not a great start as a bounty hunter, but don't worry there are other ways of getting jobs. You alright with that?" Vekk finished check to make sure his pistols battery packs were at full charge, they were and he holstered each of them away.

Dip narrowed his eyes as the man spoke of his plan. He shook his head and stepped back. "We will not go to hutts until I get what I need from home. You will accompany me and we will get credits you deserve." Dip wanted to trial this man to see if he was as great as he claimed to be. Dip wanted proof and his shack was the perfect set up. "I will lead the way to show you." Dip stepped back a few more steps until he turned to leave the bar.

Outside of the cantina Dip hopped aboard his speeder and left it running momentarily before dropping one of his credits intentionally into the sand and drawing an arrow above it. He revved up the speeder and sped off through the streets. As he drove he plucked a piece of scrap metal from the tied rack on his back and dragged it along the ground as he drove leaving a trail he hoped the bounty hunter would follow.

A long trip afterwords Dip was home again and parked his speeder and hopped inside of his shack coming up to a ladder. He climbed it quickly to the top where a chair was perched with a set of binocular equipment set beside it. He picked up the piece of equipment and sat into the chair. Lifting the metal mask from his face and lifting the goggles to his eyes he watched the horizon and waited. As he waited he began to think of what awaited him if the hunter passed his small test. He could finally explore the galaxy. The thought excited him and entertained his imagination as he waited silently.

From above the shack of Dip a great audible "BOOM!" The Class 720 Freighter appearing over head in moments, an unusual sight so far from Mos Eisley. The ship itself seemed to be emitting a light gray smoke as it's lights began to flash off and on in a bright blue, swaying left and forth it seemed to be signaling something. Begging to get lower and lower in altitude the ship passed over the hut of Dip when suddenly another audible "BOOM!" is head overhead. After the explosion a group of embers would emit downwards from the sky, extinguishing before they touched anything. The embers causing the smoke to turn from just a light gray to a darker charcoal colored emission of smoke from the left side of the ship. As it got closer it was easily seen that the left thruster was emitting this smoke and failing to deliver propulsion for the freighter. Moving over the hut into the sight of Dip the ship would plummet down into the sand only lifting moments before impact as the landing gear manages to engage, saving the ship from complete annihilation. Sand into the air in a large cloud due to the impact of such a large object so abruptly over the loose sand of Tatooine's desolate areas. At this point obvious the ship engaged in an emergency landing, successfully surviving what could have been a fatal crash. [Ship: Class 720 Freighter (DAMAGES: Left Thruster Ignition systems is disinigrated, Minor hull Damage surrounding landing gear)]

As the sand cloud clears a door opens on the ship. Emitting a a visible white cloud of pressue and moisture as the door opens, converting into a ramp. Off the ship would be a droid rolling, seeming to examine the crash site and damages. Following the droid is Jayce Cadet, covered in a dark brown leather trenchcoat and a high crown, wide brim hat (cowboy hat) upon his head. Around his waist a thick belt which holstered a blaster pistol, he seemed well traveled. The man seemed to argue with the droid, seeming like he was obviously upset by the outcome of the crash. Holding a pair of binoculars, the man scanned the area looking for any near civilizations. "Dang it G2, we done crashed her. See I tol' ya to check the damn ignition systems, but noooooooo. Beep boopity boo, I'm G2! Now we gotta' find us here a way to Mos Eisley, I know a few people who can help me out with her." The man halted his speaking upon seeing a small structure in the distance, Dip's small secluded hut. He nodding to himself, taking off his hat and sliding the binoculars to a pouch on his leather belt. Waving for the droid to get back into the ship and lock the doors, his smile was visible from far away. Walking towards the hut, he examines the sandy area making sure there isn't anyone attempting to get the best of him...

Vekk hurried after the stranger, but a drunken brawl split the two apart. Sliding around the side of two inebriated mongrels, Vekk pushed his way outside. The double suns' light dimming as Vekk's helmet adjusted to the ambient light levels. "Where'd he go?" Vekk muttered to himself, turning about to try and find a trace of his newly acquainted protégé. It took him a moment but scratched into the sand there was an arrow drawn, Vekk's HUD showed it pointed south out of the town. Vekk couldn't be sure, but he had a very strong feeling the stranger from the cantina had left it.

Vekk paused to think for a moment, not quite sure what to do. If the stranger from the cantina did leave the arrow, he must've wanted Vekk to follow after him. But getting there would prove to be difficult. From the repulsor tracks in the sand, the stranger had a speeder. Vekk scratched the back of his neck, how did the repulsors manage not to blow the marking in the sand away Vekk thought to himself.

At any rate, Vekk needed to find a way to follow suit. If he went back to Brigand to retrieve his own speeder, the hutts would undoubtedly be waiting for him. He needed a ride, something, anything really. Quickly looking around he noticed a saddled Ronto. Setting into a run, Vekk then jumped for the saddle. Swinging his leg up and over the other side, landing roughly, but with both legs round the creatures sides. Fixing his feet into the saddles' stirrups, Vekk choked the reigns back setting the already startled creature off out of town.

Surprisingly the Ronto hadn't thrown Vekk from the saddles yet, and seemed to continue on in the direction of the stranger from the cantina. Just then it hit Vekk, he had no clue who this stranger was. Vekk felt so stupid, clenching his teeth together and breathing out a quick "Damn it." Chasing after some mysterious stranger over a look in his eye. Though Vekk swore he could feel the man's determination in that moment, like it was almost tangible. Vekk decided he'd continue to search for the stranger, but when he found him he'd damn sure be giving Vekk some answers.

Vekk followed the repulsor tracks far out into the desert. Eventually coming across a rocky outcropping near a shack. Perfect place for an ambush Vekk thought to himself. His eyes darting between the shack and the rocks, searching for a shadow or bit of exposed Cartel agent. "Nothing yet" Vekk muttered seemingly to the stolen ronto.

Tugging slightly at the Ronto's reigns with one hand, signaling it to slow. With his free hand pulling some spare rations from the inside of his half duster. As the Ronto came to a halt, Vekk climbed down from the saddle of the creature. Tossing it the spare rations in hopes to get it to stay. Vekk didn't want to get stuck in the middle of the sands of Tattooine. Not quite how he wanted to die.

Pulling his blasters from their holsters Vekk warily approached the shack. Nodding his head to the side. "Looks like the living place of a strange, destitute, alien." Vekk gave a light hearted chuckle at his wit, before shaking his head to focus his efforts. It could still be a trap. Upon his approach Vekk spotted an odd pile of rocks. The rocks themselves seemed normal but the fashion in which they had been arranged is what had caused Vekk to be suspicious. Figuring it for a landmine, Vekk fired from a safe distance, unprepared for the extraordinary explosion that resounded from above. Vekk's sight immediately focused on the sky, watching slack jawed as smoldering heap roared by overhead. Taking not a second longer to stare into the sky, Vekk took cover behind a grouping of large rocks. "Kriffing knew it!" He exclaimed as the ship collided with the sandy dunes of Tattooine's surface.

Dip sat eagerly awaiting the arrival of the bounty hunter atop of his shack when suddenly a loud bang overhead made him leap to his feet and instinctively aim his blaster into the sky. A somewhat familiar sight he saw a smouldering ship overhead which had sustained heavy damage to one of its thrusters. The smouldering wreck almost made a crash landing near his shack but thankfully it had not. This was not a part of his plan at all. The ship soon opened up to reveal a droid and a bickering man following behind. Dip growled as the man argued with his droid and lifted the sights of his rifle to take aim at the stranger. As he adjusted his sights he noticed that he had a sudden change in attitude and wore a smile he could see from his shack. Dip lowered his gun and turned to get off of the roof of his shack and descend back down the ladder. He could not afford to have the stranger set off his traps before the bounty hunter arrived.

Kicking open the door and limping towards the stranger quickly he raised his gun and hip fired a shot in the general direction of the man. He yelled out in his native tongue angrily and continued to get closer changing his dialect to the standard. "Your heading in wrong direction! City is that way!" He called out to the stranger. Stepping aside to avoid one of his traps as he continued to limp towards the stranger with his blaster half raised, shooting at the ground near one his traps the man had stepped near to make him jump away from it. Finally he came up to the mans face. "There is reason I build home out here! To keep away from people like you! Smiling like you want something!" Dip patted the mans stomach with the barrel of his rifle to threaten him again. He wanted him to leave as soon as possible. He was going to ruin his plans for the bounty hunter.

Reacting to the various blaster shots meant to steer him in a certain path, Jayce wasn't too happy at this point. Here he had come peacefully, attempting to be nice and not shoot people up only to be met by this thing. Frowning down at Dip he said "Woah there... Now listen I ain't here to try to hustle you or pull a fast one on you ya' hear?". Looking around, Jayce notices the parked speeder that Dip had used to move in between his home and town. Taking a small look at it, smirking once more and reverting his gaze to Dip, "I am here just interested in some... trading yeah." Jayce pointed over to the speeder near Dip's home, nodding as if signaling to the alien that is what he is interested in. "I am in need of transportation as ye' can see here, my Lucky Lady has had better days." A strange accent emitted from Jayce as he continued to speak, this signaled to him being a native of Mos Eisley. "Now I can compensate you well for that there bike, oooh-wee! She is a nice one I can see." Reaching into his trench coat to pull out a datapad, holding it out to Dip for him to examine. "This here is what I am willing to give you if you just let me borrow her, I just need to get into town and meet a few of my pals."

From his location Vekk could hear the goings on between the mysterious stranger and the man who had crashed. Speaking of crash, thought Vekk, time to crash their conversation. Aiming his body at the two arguing men Vekk activated his booster jets, soaring through the air, landing several feet from his targets, his blaster pistols already trained on the two. "You there, human, move a muscle and things'll get bad for you and that pretty face of yours. And you creature, who are you and what were you sent after me for." Vekk's temper flared, but he was as calm as the eye of a storm. He wasn't about to be taken advantage of by anyone, the time for games was over.

The man was trying to make an offer on Dips speeder which was not much of a surprise, but as he showed Dip his list of armaments dip took the datapad in intrigue. These would definitely be very handy for his new line of work. With these he could skip going to the hutts with the bounty hunter altogether. Dip was not fond of the hutts due to previous encounters with their mercenaries. Fortunately he was able to stay off of their hit lists so far and he wanted to keep it that way for a while, but before he could accept the mans offer the bounty hunter swooped into the scene and held both dip and the stranger at gunpoint. Dip dropped the datapad and shifted his aim to the hunter and shook his head.

Vekk had begun to ask questions which Dip had no choice but to answer. His plan in ruins, he came clean. "I came to you on my own business. I offered you job and you said you were the best. So I decided to see if you were telling truth to me." He lowered his weapon and inched over to the area where he steered the stranger from and kicked over the rocks to reveal one of his rigged blaster traps. "Surely if you wre so good you would have reached house safely." . Dip pointed a finger to Vekk and spoke again. "Now I ask that you lower your weapon and let me finish deal with stranger! He has good weapons we can use for job!". He pointed down to the datapad he had dropped for the bounty hunter to see.

Jayce nods to the bounty hunter, his hand ready to draw and fire if need be. "Now listen to ya friend there bud, we wouldn't wanna get messy out here in the desert." Attempts to slowly move out of the bounty hunter's line of fire, stepping back but still remaining within the vicinity of the two people. Watching his step Jayce looks to the ground and back to the bounty hunter a few times, making sure he isn't shot or blown to bits. "The hell have I gotten myself into?" Jayce thinks to himself as he successfully is out of the immediate aim of the blasters. Using his free hand to pull out a cigar, placing it between his lower and upper maulers and chewing a bit on it while he squints to the data pad. "Right, so now that we are all dandy and friends, can we get down to business I assume you two have places to be. I know I do." Nodding to himself in order to build his own confidence regarding the situation. Jayce points to the speeder and looks towards Dip, "Now that LPB (Light repeating blaster) Is might fine and popular with the combatant type. Yep she offers a steady stream of fire and comes equipped with five Galven Coils so you won't be over-heating any time soon. And those Proton Carbines might popular with bounty hunters and soldiers alike, they offer accurate fire and effective damage distribution. "

"I'll offer you eh..." Jayce pauses momentarily thinking. "The LPB along with both Proton Carbines and ten high capacity Tibanna gas cells for that there speeder." Jayce smirks, chewing more on his unlit cigar as he observes the tension in the situation.

Virgil promptly dropped his pistols, menacingly pointing a finger to the man with the cigar. "Next time someone threatens to blast you for moving, you best not. Especially if you find yourself on the other side of my irons." Dropping both his hand and his serious sentiment. Vekk looked over to the stranger once more. "No offense but the booby traps were fairly obvious. Don't worry though we'll work on it." Looking between the two of them making sure neither would pull a fast one, Vekk took a seat. Resting his back against a nearby rock and stretching his feet out, one hand still at his blaster for safe measure. "Now it'd be rude to conduct business without proper introductions. Neyo Vekk, bounty hunter." Vekk finished giving a half salute. "You gentleman would be?"

Seeing that he had succeeded in calming down the bounty hunter Dip lowered his weapon but still gripped it tightly. He was glad the bounty hunter was able to pass his test indirectly. "Very well Neyo. I am Dip. And I am not mutant Jawa. I am from lotho minor." after his introduction he hastily approached the stranger and pointed to his face. "You have struck deal. However I want weapons placed in front of my feet before you do anything with speeder." He was not too fond with the idea of giving the tranger his speeder but judging from the state of his ship he was not going to go anywhere. "And if you dare to bring back thugs myself and Neyo will make you regret treachery." Dip was placing allot of false confidence into Neyo but he had no choice in this hastey situation. After he made his points clear Dip stepped away from the scene and went for his shack. "I need to grab few things. Do not follow."

Dip stepped into the doorway of his shack and peeked around to see if the any of the two followed before brushing aside the hanging cloth, walking inside entirely. Dip set his rifle down beside the workbench and dug out his stash of credits again. This time holding it under one arm and taking it with him. HE grabbed his rifle again and left the dusty shack once more.

Dip hopped aboard of his speeder and started it up. Driving the short distance to the two people and stopping. He held the rifle up again still sat in the seat and nodded his head to the stranger. "We seal deal now."

Dag Corrino

Dag had been scouting out the dune sea for sometime-in hopes of finding a Krayt Dragon. For three days he sat in the same area-his sniper rifle in hand-waiting for the perfect shot. But, out of luck something happened-a faint object glistened in the twin suns-rushing towards the ground. The Ubese strained his eyes through his visor, but then decided it would be easier to spot through his sniper's optic.

He pulled the optic up towards his visor and peered through-smirking in his helmet-as he saw a ship go crashing down into the sand miles and miles away. This could provide something interesting, he thought to himself as he slung his sniper across his back. He jumped onto his speeder and took off from the ridge.

He revved the engines on his speeder as he swerved around a series of rising dunes and towards a trail of smoke that rose into the sky. He came around a soft bend in the sand-his eyes focusing in on the wreckage; pausing as he noticed a group of people. He revved his engine on his speeder and made his way down the bend and out into the sandy plain. He kicked the engine on his speeder off besides what Dag suspected to be two Hunters. He slid off his speeder pulling up his cloak around his shoulder-revealing his blaster rifle and a trophy that clung to his belt-a prized lightsaber glistened in the sun-signifying Dag Corrino has a Jedi Hunter. "Who's ship is that," he spoke in Huttese through his helmet's COM.
