Vanya was sure she was going to forget which medical tent she was supposed to be going to but her attention was quickly torn back to the chaos of the fighting ahead.

By the time they had started to push back to abomination and Hapan forces, Vanya had nearly forgotten she was going to pay a visit to the wounded and see if they had gained any useful intelligence from their forward advance.

Not very Jedi of you, Vanya, she thought to herself as she realized she was really only going for that one reason. Was it the kind, gentle, and sensitive thing to do? No, but Vanya was here as a combat leader not a healer or a friend. That... would have to come later.

She made her way back to the medical tent and put a hand to her face. Whatever exhaustion she felt paled in comparison to the mangled and broken bodies of the wounded. War was never a pretty thing, but something about abominations always managed to make things that much worse.

She started making her way through the tents, questioning droids and healers alike about where she could find the surviving members of the western offensive.

She had worked with young people and Padawans before - even Vanya wasn't that old - but she found herself a bit shocked when she found out the person on the other end of that radio was a kid.

You were with Zeta Squad? she asked. She could already sense the apprehension and perhaps even terror that flowed through him after what had happened, and she knew she would be pretty much the worst person to help him with that. She wasn't a pillar of empathy.

Kaedan guided the civilians through the heart of the battlefield, using his lightsaber to make quick work of any who dared try. Even with the injured woman in his arms, he was able to battle as if there wasn't much hindering him. It was easier than he would have liked to admit. The jedi, specifically the traditionalist, shouldn't be all about the fight. The thing was, he spent so much time training his combat forms that the movements were second nature. At the core of it all, he was a warrior and a defender of those who needed. Even though he could have easily join the Crusade, he believed in the teachings and traditions of old.

The young knight kept a quick pace in order to get the civilians out as soon as possible. Maybe, he was moving a little too fast since the kids were falling behind. One even fell down. Kaedan looked around and slowed down. He used the force to lift the one who fell and placed them back on their feet.
"Sorry about moving too fast. I'll slow down a bit."

He sighed as he viewed a few abominations heading their way. "These blasted things just keep coming." You know, now would be a good time to have a blaster. At the very least, I'd be able to keep the abominations at a distance. He placed the woman down and stood firm and used his lightsaber to slice and dice any abomination that got near. Once the oncoming beasts were taken care of, he lifted the woman again.

Eventually, they made it to an evacuation point.
"I'll leave you in the hands of medical officers." He walked over to where others were being treated and rested her down in front of the medical team. "Thank you, master Jedi." Kaedan nodded before turning his attention to the medical officials. "See to it that she and these children are looked at."

With the civilians at the evacuation zone, Kaedan believed it was time to rejoin the fight but in a different way. He darted towards the hangar where his ship had been parked. He opened the ramp and rushed in, turning on the ship's systems as quickly as possible. The engines sputtered and stopped. "Blast!" He slammed his hands on the ship's dashboard and tried again. The engines powered up successfully.

After getting the ship off the ground, Kaedan activated his weapon systems, making sure all of them were online. Now, it was time to take the fight to the next degree. From his position in the sky, he saw opportunities to blast enemies without causing harm to anyone else and he took those shots, blasting the abominations to smithereens.

Beep Beep Beep Beep

He had enemy fighters trailing him. As they fired at his ship, he maneuvered and barrel-rolled to avoid their fire. "Very well, we can play this game." He hit the brakes causing the fighters behind him to end up in front of him. He targeted the fighters and blasted them, destroying them.

Caul was caught somewhere between asleep and awake when Vanya entered. The droid that had just left the room had told Caul he’d be telling Terek, a Jedi Knight Caul had worked with not long ago on Ellora, so the padawan was expecting the equivalent of a Jedi older brother, not new order momma Vanya, force sake he hated the way his brian processed things sometimes…

Caul panicked and pulled his blanket up like a southern dignitary’s daughter caught in the middle of something that could compromise her honor, then felt his face go crimson. Vanya just kinda stood there for a minute, he could see the strain of the operation on her. She didn’t have time to waste.

Almost to his point she asked about his detachment. “Yes ma’am,” he said with nod, “I’ll just get to the point, I know you’re busy, we were scouting the western point when all of the sudden we tripped an explosive. There were multiple in our area and as soon as they went off the abominations came after,” the words were tumbling out of his mouth, he couldn’t stop talking if he wanted to, “They all got ripped to shreds, but I survived, and…I… I…” he looked down at his blanket as he got run over by his emotions.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to trauma dump, I… I’m sorry.
