Born as the First of the Singing Mountain Clan, Vanya was trained from birth and groomed to one day take over as the Clan Mother of the Singing Mountain Clan. Although she is too young to remember the purge of Singing Mountain performed by Queen Renfry and Darth Raze, she has grown up on stories about it.
Without the strength to stand against the Queen alone, the Singing Mountain Clan simply bided her time. For a year, Vanya even served within the palace before the Imperials came for the Queen.
Contrary to popular belief, not all Nightsisters are strictly "Dark Side" in nature. Clans such as Singing Mountain, Frenzied River, and several others hold the Winged Spirit in higher esteem than the Fanged Spirit and follow teachings far closer to those that would be classified as "Light" by the rest of the galaxy.
For this reason - among others - Vanya led several of her Sisters with the Imperials to find and eliminate the former-Queen of Dathomir.

Vanya can be a lot to handle sometimes. She has strong opinions about things and is not afraid to let people know it. She is often serious and sometimes grim, but is not all scowls all the time. She has a dry sense of humor and can even be fun to be around at times. Probably.
