Aurelie was still lying down at the medbay bed with both hands clasped on her stomach. She knew that her friend was heading towards immediate danger as the Gorath-Class Heavy Freighter was bound to contain some inner defenses. And Hask was heading straight into the fray. It was a large ship and considering its value to the scrambling military of Exoleen, it was quite likely that it would have a full crew, maybe a couple of engineers, a ship doctor and some security personnel. Aside from the obvious threat posed by the security guards, fifteen armed members of the crew could prove to be quite deadly too. Of course, this was all guesswork, but still, it seemed rather plausible in her mind.

Hask had been clear that she was supposed to stay on the Hellion and she hadn't managed to bring herself to speaking up against his decision, instead she had just quietly nodded along as he gave her the command. The thief was very conflicted, however, as she knew that his life was at stake and had no desire to loose him whatsoever. The man had saved Aurelie time after time and she did really feel well enough to at least do something, confident that she wouldn't get in the way or mess things up if she tried to help. After a while, the young woman finally managed to muster enough courage to defy Hask's order, using all the willpower she could muster. She had decided to sneak along with him and only intervene if he seemed to be in a bind. With that, she slowly rose from the bed in silence.

The Sith had already parked the ship and had now moved on to the door behind which their opposition awaited. Drawing heavily from her skills to avoid producing sounds, the thief equipped a longer pair of pants to avoid any unnecessary scratches or such during the battle. With a quick motion, she confirmed that her small knife she always brought was still hidden in her boot. With the gun at the ready, a thicker brown leather jacket on and her vibro-knife attached to the N.E.V.D.A, the young woman was ready to help Hask to the best of her abilities. She hadn't regained full mobility yet but could still move fast enough, and very quietly if she put her heart to it. Aurelie moved into a position near the Hellion's door from which she could see Hask and the door he stood by if she just peeked our her head a little.

At the same time as Aurelie completed her preparations, the guards of freighter did too. All five security guards were crouched down along the corridor leading further into the ship with their rifles pointed at the entrance. If they noticed that the door was being melted by lightsaber, they would nervously look at each other before three of them brings out their vibroblades instead with two lining up in front of the third melee trooper.

Hask stabbed his two crimson lightsabers into the top of the freighter's door, slowly cutting a neat circle into it. He felt the fear behind the door rising steadily. These guards probably did not expect a sith to board them.

When the circle was done Hask channelled the force and launched the door forward in a powerful force-push. And just like every other time he hit a few unprepared security guards behind the door. 2 of the 5 managed to dodge, but the other 3 were knocked off their feet and one was pinned under the door. The 2 that were left did their duty and opened fire on Hask with everything they had, but were almost immediately blinded by a force flash erupting from the Pureblood's right hand.

With the 2 soldiers blinded Hask charged forward, holding both lightsabers out to the side and dragging them against the walls of the enemy vessel, throwing sparks everywhere. When he reached the soldiers he made quick work of them, slicing them both across the chest. 2 that were knocked out managed to regain their footing and took aim, but Hask quickly spun around, hurling both lightsabers at them and impaling them both against the walls behind them.

He stood over the one pinned by the solid durasteel door and recalled both lightsabers. The man was clearly in pain with the door crushing him, but Hask relieved him in good time by stabbing him through the door in the chest with both blades.

Unless there were more guards hiding somewhere, all that was left now would be the 15 or so crew members of the freighter and its captain.

He slowly advanced forward, reaching the door that lead to the rest of the ship in the middle. From here in the back it would be a hundred meters straight, through the massive cargo hold and all the way to the bridge. Between him and the bridge is probably 15 deck hands and a captain ready to fight whatever pirate came at them.

Pirates. Not sith.

Allowing the thrill of the fight to set in Hask let out a maniacal chuckle as he made ready to slice through the main door that lead to the cargo hold.

It didn't take long until the lightsabers violently hummed to life and the sound of them stabbing into the relatively thick door was heard. Aurelie didn't think that he'd look back towards her new that he was concentrating on the door and peered out from behind the wall by the door inside the Hellion. Technically, she hadn't really defied him as she was still on his ship, but the girl felt ready to do so at a moments notice if whatever waited on the other side of the door proved to be too much for him. The door certainly seemed like it was weakening as Hask was cutting a neat circle in it and it didn't take long before he seemed to gather his power, and blew through it with a powerful force push, prompting it to fall down at whatever awaited right at the other side of it. Perhaps he wouldn't need her help after all.

The two guards who fired at him soon ceased and her friend rushed forth towards them, slicing the poor troopers in two. Aurelie quickly turned back in behind her wall, covering her mouth with her hands and a terrified expression on her face. The way in which Hask killed them was brutal and she wondered if he had been able to keep this, almost, bestial side hidden from her during their time together. A part of her wanted to just take the Hellion and leave right there, but the young woman quickly silenced that part of her mind, reminding herself that he was her friend and that they were partners. She then heard the two lightsabers impact something simultaneously along with the agonizing last squeals from two men. This was definitely not something Hask would normally do as he had taken care to just incapacitate his enemies before.

Aurelie was terrified as she finally dared to peer out again. At least one soldier had survived, she felt a sense of relief as Hask stood over him, knowing that he would use the force to liberate the man from the heavy object. But, as it turned out, she was wrong. Instead of saving the poor guard, Hask executed him. The girl couldn't recall ever seeing anything as menacing as the Sith when he slowly advanced towards the next door. Aurelie shuddered upon hearing the maniacal chuckle that ensued which only served to make the Sith even more unrecognizable to her.

The thief unholstered her blaster as she heard Hask start working on the other door. As soon as he moved into the large cargo hold, she would try to advance to his current position by the door, prepared to shoot if the pressure which the remaining defenders put on him became dangerously large.

At the other side of the door were five crew members in total, all armed with blaster pistols. As soon as they noticed that their door started to melt, the one farthest from the door, about 40 meters away, would call the ships captain via his comms "Captain, it's a Sith! Lightsabers! Shut the blast door to the bridge!". Her eyes would widen as the door started to give way "Oh, no... he's breaking through. Shut the blast door, shut the blast door!!" the deck hand stopped talking rather suddenly as she pulled out her blaster pistol, fearing for her life. She stood in the middle of two other deck hands who stood 20 meters apart from her, both armed with blaster pistols while the one on the left was ontop of a very large stack of crates - probably 6-7 meters above the ground. The fourth and perhaps most brave of the members stood about 10 meters away from the door while the final deck hand had found a vibrosword and had plastered himself to the wall that was right of the door, fully prepared to help his brave friend.

Once again the two crimson blades were slowly cutting a circle into the second door that led to the cargo hold of the freighter. Hask was about halfway when he heard shouting, something activating and the loud metallic sound of blast doors closing. His suspicions were confirmed when the resistance against his blades increased significantly.

He let out an annoyed sigh, extinguished his right hand's lightsabre and holstered it. He flipped a switch on his left hand's lightsabre and increased the blade's length to its full 2 meters, stabbing through the blast door. Then, grabbing hold of the lightsabre with both hands, he slowly pulled down, allowing the blade to melt the steel before cutting it.

When he finally cut through it he pushed the steel in and advanced, only to be met with a vibro blade clashing with his lightsabre. With his blade occupied he couldn't stop the incoming bolts in time. The shots hit his armour, heated it up and burnt his chest and gut. The recoil sent him tumbling to the floor. A smart person would keep shooting...but not these guys.

Hask laid still on the floor, waiting in the doorway for the crew members to come to him. The one with the blade stood over him, "Do you think he's de..." he stopped talking as his throat was closed off and he lifted off the ground. Hask held him up in front of him as a meat shield against incoming fire, killing the poor fool. Hask pushed the body straight forward, letting it slide on the floor right in the middle of the group of defenders.

They were terrified. One was on the crates above Hask, but a quick pull with the force yanked him off and landed him in front of the sith seemingly knocking him out.

The other 3 opened fire but Hask blocked their simple bolts rather effortlessly. One fell as his own bolt hit him in the chest, while one other hid behind a crate. The woman in the middle kept firing, but fell to her knees when a shot came back and hit her in the gut.

Hask walked forward, slicing through the crate and the man behind it. He came to a standstill in front of the woman. She was on her knees in front of him, clutching at her gut and whimpering in pain.

Unbeknownst to him, the one that fell from the crates was waking up. The first thing he saw was the sith in front of his friend. He levelled the gun at the sith's back.

Hask raised his blade, ready to cut down the lady in front of him, when a shot rang out from behind him...

It didn't seem to matter what obstacles they put in the way of the Sith. Blast door or no, Hask just pushed through it. Aurelie watched in amazement as her friend made his way through the the heavily enforced door from the edge of where the Hellion met the freighter they were boarding. Many shots could be heard going off as he went in, and then silence - worry shot through her heart as the young woman feared the worst. She doubted herself for a few short moments as Hask's stern voice telling her to remain on the Hellion echoed through her head and his menacing demeanor destroying the troopers a few moments ago flashed through her head. But she had already made up her mind upon leaving the medbay and carefully set her right foot on the side of the freighter, soon followed by the right one. Ignoring the minor pain in her injured leg, Aurelie started running towards the opening in the heavy door, hearing an unknown voice starting ask something.

Smoke from the lightsaber melting through the door still covered her as she peered out to see a guard elevated in the air and struggled to catch a breath. The poor guard was constantly shot in the back by his allies as Hask rose up to his feet behind him. Despite the terrible scene, Aurelie felt very relieved that her companion was still alive. It was clear as day that the other guards were terrified when Hask flinged the corpse, and their former friend, into the center of the defending party. No one had spotted her yet, but if someone had, they'd see that the girl was almost as terrified as the guards.

The Sith made killing the deck hands look easy as he effortlessly dominated them with his saber and the force. Aurelie felt terrible as the crew started dying one after another, all at the hands of her friend who pushed into the room at a walking pace. The thief gripped her blaster hard as she observed Hask approaching the last defendant who was already on her knees. She had a faint hope that the Sith would spare the poor woman but after what she had seen, it didn't seem very likely. In the corner of her eye, she noticed that the guy who was pulled down from the crates was starting to wake, quietly fumbling about. Despite having no intentions to kill the guy, the young woman took aim at him, just in case he would pose a danger to Hask. When the captain finally arrived at the injured thug, Aurelie's fears were confirmed as he did indeed intend to execute her. But something far more important caught her attention as the guard from the crates brought his gun up, pointing it at Hask.

There was only one thing to do - Aurelie pressed the trigger. Within second, the guard lied dead on the floor, but just to be sure, the girl pulled the trigger two more times resulting in two more laser bolts hitting the already dead target.

The girl soon appeared from her smokey cover with an absolutely terrified look in her eyes. She had never seen Hask like this before and it looked like she had just killed someone. Akin to a deer taking its first steps on ice, Aurelie slowly walked towards her friend with slouched shoulders and a head facing the ground "I'm sorry" she said with a small voice "I was afraid you'd get in trouble" Her voice was apologetic and seemed to shrink even more as she got closer to the Sith. She had never been able to watch Sith from up close and barely recognized the way Hask was behaving, making he tremble slightly as she feared that he might not be as benevolent towards her as he used to be.

Hask tensed up as the shot rang out, followed up by another 2 barely a second later. He stood stiffly with his blade raised above his head for a few moments before turning around slowly. He was very surprised to see Aurelie slowly walking up to him apologising all the way.

He had so many emotions going through his head. He was confused, disappointed, proud and angry at her. She directly defied his orders but in doing so she saved his life. He extinguished his blade as she stood in front of him. She was trembling, just as terrified of him as the lady on the floor was at him. It was easy to see why though...

"...why didn't you stay on the ship?" he said with a disappointed tone. This side of him was one he warned her about but still never wanted her to see. He knew she would never look at him the same way if she saw him in action yet here she stood, trembling in his presence.

He looked up, sighing as he tried to figure out what to do. He looked at the person she shot, then back to her, then to the lady on the ground.
"Dammit, Aurie." he said softly to himself. He couldn't stay angry at her. Not for long at least. His anger towards her faded really quickly as he turned to face her. Her head was hanging low, she scared to look at him.

"I'm not angry at you. Just disappointed...well you're here now, so come on." he said sternly, but as he said the last part, he sounded much more light hearted. Knowing he couldn't kill the woman on the ground now, he got another idea.

He turned to the very confused woman on the floor.
"If you can get your captain to stand down, I'll let you and your crew live." he said coldly and sternly. She nodded quickly.

Pretty soon they were standing in front of the bridge's door, with the lady on her knees and Aurelie behind him. His lightsabre was extinguished but still in his hand.

"Captain. This is your enemy speaking. I have a member of your crew alive out here, but she's dying. I'm willing to hand her over and let all of you live on one condition: You open this blast door, lay down your weapons and hand over your shield generator along with all other spare parts that will work on my ship. You know that I can cut through this door if you don't comply..." he looked at Aurelie and the woman. "You have my word that I will not kill you...I promise." he concluded his stern speech.

He stood patiently in front of the door, waiting for the captain's reply through the intercom.

Aurelie kept apologizing as the Sith questioned why she didn't stay on the ship. While glad that she had managed to take out the threat towards him, she was very unhappy with how dissatisfied Hask was and felt quite bad about disobeying his direct command. She barely raised her head high enough to look him in the eyes as he stated that he weren't angry, but she could tell that he had certainly been angry a few moments ago. Still, her captain hadn't turned on her or anything like that, in fact, the most dominant emotion he displayed was disappointment. The girl didn't like having Hask be disappointed at her at all, but at this moment, there was not much more which she could do. She repeated a last small "I'm sorry" before her companion sounded like he was cheering up. Despite being glad about the shift in his emotions, Aurelie still felt like she was walking on eggshells and that the slightest misstep could expose her to his ire.

The fact that he decided to spare the woman on the floor restored some hope to Aurelie who still shivered upon hearing his cold and stern voice again. The newly formed trio walked up to the bridge, guided by the injured deck hand. The young woman made sure to stick close to Hask, knowing that was the safest position she could be in while on the hostile freighter. Ironically, she also feared that being so close to him might be the most dangerous place too, for some reason, deep inside, she didn't think that Hask would really turn on her. At least not now.

Hask made a good case as to why the Captain should open the door and his companion nodded along with him as he spoke. "Well, well, well, what have we here?" a harsh voice could be heard over the comms, recognizable as captain Gloute's. "The Sith finally arrive, and asking kindly for ol' Yurm to open upp the blast doors?" she paused in her goading as the captain watched them through the security feed "Do you really think I'll open up these doors to you? After you tear through my crew and and hold my people captive? They were good friends you feckless filth!". The voice was as cold as harsh as ever and filled with rage. "We will defend ourselves till the end. You and your welp can go blast yourselves!" she finally screamed.

Aurelie carefully tapped Hask on the shoulder as she stood right behind him. She still weren't too keen on risking upsetting him but felt like he might appreciate what she was about to say "I think I could make the blast door from this side. This is a civilian ship, not a military one, their security systems probably aren't that strong" Her suggestion was faced by a loud "Shut your mouth, welp!" from the speaker to the captain. Standing right next to Hask, Aurelie didn't feel very intimidated at all and simply looked at the camera defiantly. With this, she was either ready to pick the blast door open if commanded to do so by Hask. Otherwise, she'd just hold on tight to her blaster and prepare for a potentially messy fight.

Saying that he was angry at the captain was an understatement. Not only was she risking further deaths, but prolonging the fight unnecessarily.

Aurelie gave him an idea, but the yelling of the woman made him retaliate quickly. "You hold your tongue, hag!" he fired back in the defence of his first mate. "Start working on the lock as quick as you can. When that door opens...please look away." he said softly and desperately to her. Not only because of what he was planning to do, but because of the ability he planned on using.

While Aurelie started working on the door's lock, he stalled the captain. "I gave you a way to save the lives of your crew, captain, yet you will still throw them away needlessly. You've seen what I'm capable of yet you still risk yourselves..." the lock was ready and Aurelie was about to open the doors. "...but as they say. If you don't want the silver, gotta take the plasma." he said in a grim, cheerful manner.

The door opened and there she was. Captain Gloute was massive, much taller than Hask and built like a house. Probably Deucalian descent. She wore a khaki green tank top and cargo pants with massive black combat boots. In her arms she held a light repeater.

As soon as the doors opened she opened fire. While it was hard, Hask managed to block most of the rounds. Some got through but they were stopped by his armour, albeit rather painful. There were three others with guns as well but they all got a shot to the chest or face as Hask deflected the bolts. When the last man fell Hask released another force flash, throwing off the captain's aim and causing her to spray wildly. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Hask charged forward. In one motion he cut her gun in half and sliced her arm off underneath the elbow, causing her to drop the remains of the gun.

Before she could recover, he released a torrent of force lightning. It wasn't enough to kill her but it definitely hurt her a lot. After a second or so he stopped and released a powerful force-push sending her into the viewport. As she bounced off the transparisteel window and fell to the floor, she tried to get up, but finally passed out from pain and shock.

Hask was exhausted. His force reserves were depleted and his body ached from all the scorch marks. His muscles were tired and his mind was not much better.

But he won.

He looked at what remained of the crew. There were only 7 left excluding the captain. By the looks of it they were the cook, doctor, 2 engineers, pilot, co-pilot and the wounded lady behind him.
"Do you surrender?" he asked coldly, levelling his blade with the cook's neck. He got a bunch of aggressive nods in response. "Perfect. Doctor, you have a lady with a gut shot and a captain with a lot more damage than that. Get to it." he said, extinguishing his blade.

The doctor bolted to help the lady on her knees to his office on the ship. the pilot and co-pilot carried the captain off to the doctor with great effort. Hask turned and faced the remaining 3.

"Show me every scrap and part on this ship worth something."

And with that, Hask and Aurelie were led back to the cargo bay to inspect the loot.

Aurelie hastily got to work as Hask approved of the less forceful idea. She looked back at him as he asked her not to look and feared what he planned to do. His way of dealing with the pirates earlier had certainly instilled a sense of fear of him in her but at least the Sith seemed calm now, and the question sounded more like a plead than an order. The young woman knew that she had already disappointed him and was rather eager to make it up to him. "No problem, I'll look away!" she chirped quickly with a confirming nod before getting back to work.

It didn't take long before Aurelie looked back at her companion "Get ready, just a few more seconds" she said carefully before looking back at the console she was working at. Just as promised, the door opened with a swoosh after a few seconds and Aurelie turned to look away from both the door and Hask.

The thief could hear blaster fire from several sources and it sounded like they were being fired at a very high rate, but it also sounded like the Sith managed to deflect many bolts but then she heard a different sound, much more similar to that of a bolt hitting a wall, but it came from where her ally stood rather than from the more distant walls. She grimaced as she imagined the pain the hits must've caused and the danger of further hits breaking through his armour. The sounds of the vicious battle died down after what felt like an eternity but Aurelie remained relatively confident as she had already seen Hask's combat prowess and the blaster fire ended earlier than the noises coming from him.

Whether she could look back now or if he still wanted her to wait didn't seem very clear to the young thief who decided to remain on the safe side of things. Staying outside the bridge, she could hear the Sith's cold voice commanding the remaining crew and soon, a small flood of people passed her by, entering a room close to the bridge. She looked away from them too, guessing that Hask might not want her to see what injuries he inflicted either. It didn't take long before he left the room along with the engineers and the cook. After seeing the destruction her companion had cause, it almost seemed a little naive for her to walk along his left-hand side in case the mechanical arm lacked in ability or malfunctioned. But, Aurelie stuck to the original thought she had when first seeing the prosthetic and joined the group following Hask to his left.

The cook didn't seem very familiar with the cargo hold but the engineers knew what they were doing as they lead the group to the medium military deflector shield. It looked as magnificent as a shield generator could look, but more importantly, it was rather large. "Do you have anything we could use to get it aboard the ship?" she asked, prompting the engineers to think for a while whilst the cook just shrugged. They soon started talking about a hover-cart and before long, one of them walked off towards the bridge in a hurry. Aurelie threw a quick glance at Hask, and without any looks of disapproval, she followed.

The engineer and the thief soon reached a smaller storage room. He looked back at Aurelie uncomfortably but soon opened the door regardless. Inside, she could see the relatively large hover-cart, but more interestingly, she could also see some kind of cannon designed to be mounted on a ship. With a finger pointed at the weapon, she asked "Could you please take that with you to the Sith?" The engineer didn't seem very happy about it at all, but with a sigh, he loaded it onto the cart and made his way back to Hask.

After a few moments of consideration, Aurelie thought that it might be best to delete the security footage and with that, she slipped into the bridge of the ship. She caught a glimpse of the large severed lower arm on the floor but looked away as quick as she could. The thief assumed that this was something which Hask didn't want her to see, and to be frank, she didn't really want to see it either as seeing the severed limb made her want to throw up. After spending a while on the bridge, she finally managed to delete the security footage and shut the security cameras off. With that done, the girl jogged back to the Sith.

Hask's patience with the crew members was starting to wear rather thin. At least Aurelie was on the case. In no time at all she and an engineer disappeared and reappeared a few minutes later with a hover-cart...and something very curious on top of it.

"Hey, hey! What do we have here?!" he spoke out quite loudly in surprise. He glided his hands along the cannon's barrels and body. "This will come in real handy." he said as he placed his hand on Aurelie's shoulder, giving it a firm squeeze in excitement.

"But of course, this is just the extra gift in the lucky packet. Let's get that generator on board." he said sternly to the engineers and cook. They were by no means happy with the choice, but complied out of fear for their lives.

As Hask helped to load the cannon in what's left of the Hellion's cargo hold, Aurelie disappeared into the bridge once again. She emerged just as the shield generator was being loaded up.
"Hey, there you are. Where did you disappear off to?" he said light heartedly. He could both sense and see she was a little queasy and he could only guess what had caused it. But that will have to wait. He would sit down and answer a few well deserved questions in due time, but first they had to get out of here.

Pretty soon the cannon, shield generator and a bunch of other spare parts to fix up the ship were loaded up and strapped down. The had no time to lose. In probably a few hours, emergency communications would be established and when that happens, a swarm of fighters would come to the heavy freighter's aid.

Hask fell into his pilot's chair and started working on getting the ship released and in hyperspace. Aurelie sat next to him but he encouraged her to sit back and relax. She deserved it after today. Pretty soon the engines sputtered to life and they had a heading for Tatooine.

"You did good today. Despite not following my orders, you went above and beyond the call of duty...and you even saved not only my life but the lives of those crew members as well. Thank you, Aurie." he said proudly and warmly, attempting to cheer her up a little. Whatever questions she had for him she could ask as soon as they touch down, but that will have to wait as well.

Now they would celebrate to a successful mission.

The hyperdrive was ready and with the push of a lever, the Hellion limped along into hyperspace towards their destination.

It seemed like they'd made good progress as Aurelie returned, the shield basically already being loaded onto the cart. She had not be sure about whether to expect the question or not, but there it came "Hey, there you are. Where did you disappear off to?" She looked Hask in the eyes who, just as his voice, seemed friendly. This was not the menacing Sith she witnessed earlier who was interrogating her on her activities, this was her friend Hask who just had a simple query. Not wanting to give their hostages any funny ideas, she told a lie "I just checked if they had any updated astrogation charts we could use." She didn't like lying to her companion, but it was for the best of both of them and he did have his sithy magic which often seemed to allow him to read her rather well. When the hover-cart was filled, she followed Hask back to the Hellion, sticking relatively close to him at his left-hand side while throwing a few glances at the crew who they were leaving behind.

The Hellion was a mess. Despite having been inside it earlier, the girl was surprised to see how damaged it was and reflected on how lucky they were to have an astromech who could put out the fires and tend to the most immediate and pressing problems while they were away. Even though she felt bad about wrecking the ship which he had entrusted for her to pilot, Aurelie still hadn't lost her enthusiasm about flying. But, Hask seemed to urge her to sit back and without any wish to disobey him any further, she complied and leaned back against the soft chair. The young woman could then feel how exhausted she were as she let out a tired sigh and a yawn while stretching lazily.

She looked upon her friend as he praised her which filled her with joy. It felt good to hear his kind words, just as it felt bad to hear his harsh ones. Despite still being scarred by what she'd seen, Aurelie mustered a smile "I wouldn't have survived this without you either, so thank you too" she said truthfully, knowing that he had saved her life more times than she could count already. The young woman wondered what he meant by her saving the crew members of the freighter and she grew a little worried and fearful that he truly couldn't control himself when in battle. Aurelie swallowed hard, not wanting to think of the matter anymore.

The girl watched the person next to her as he controlled the damaged ship - this was the Hask which she had come to know and trust. With that in mind, she closed her eyes and soon fell asleep as they left the scene, heading towards Tatooine.
