DESCRIPTION
Describe your ship in detail. A ship is a ship, but what stands out about this one? What is it like, what should be known about it? Is it reputable and reliable work horse or is it a cheap piece of junk? Is it a successful product or commercial failure? What do people use it for? Why was it designed and built? Is it old and not manufactured anymore? Is it new on the market? Describe how the interior is set up, where the crew sits, how the accommodations are, etc. Tell us as much as you can.
LEGALITY
Describe the legality of ownership for this thing. Is it restricted to people with certain licenses? Is it illegal to own? A light freighter would be legal basically everywhere unless it's illegally modified or armed, but a gunboat loaded for Zillo beasts is probably going to be illegal or heavily restricted in many systems unless you're specially licensed or a member of groups allowed to be so armed.
INTENT
This is one of the most important sections. Why are you making this ship? What stands out about it and what role does it fill on the site? Who do you intend to use this ship? This should be a well-developed idea beyond "could be useful and there isn't one so I'm making it". If this is generitech, you can omit this section, but please be sure to ling to whatever design it is based on.
ADVANCED TECH
YES/NO. Advanced tech requires an approved plot to build, steal, buy, or otherwise obtain. Most unusual or above average technologies should fit into this category. Also include any other special notes about acquisition, if applicable. How might one obtain this tech?
Sporting blasters came in either rifle or pistol blaster types. They were light weapons that were used by noble people who wanted a civilized alternative to the standard blaster. These blasters had a thin barrel and were used in hunting and firing ranges. Sporting blasters were light and easy to carry. They were more affordable to a standard blaster, but had a shorter range, and had a lighter punch. They were also legal and more easy to obtain. Sporting blasters were more associated with noble or rich people who wanted a elegant blaster to have as protection. Sporting blasters were broken down into three parts and and could be reassembled fairly easily.
LEGALITY
Legal on most worlds
INTENT
I wanted to make a blaster that were used for games and fun, but were easy to carry and could distingish the rich from the poor
Cost: 3,000 credits for PUT
500 credits for indivisual chip
DESCRIPTION
The PUT or Personal Universal Translator, was designed so traders, spies, or politicians could communicate. It could translate over 2,000 languages through language chips. In order to use the PUT, all you had to do was insert a language chip and you could instantly understand what everyone around you said. There were two chip receptacles in the master unit which could be used to hold a second memory chip or language chip. The PUT could not translate body languages/movement or any non-verbal language. It could use broadband communications to communicate with a protocal droid in order to provide more precise translation.
LEGALITY
Completely Legal everywhere.
INTENT
So traders and people can use it to communicate with other species. Break the language barrier. Also is cheaper and easier than having to buy a protocal droid.
ADVANCED TECH
No
ADDITION INFORMATION
Other features of the PUT included primary and secondary earpiece ports which allowed discreet listening for either one or two individuals, or for having private conversations. When an earpiece is inserted into either port, the speaker on the main unit could be turned off for privacy.
