Dreamwalking
Known applications · Limitations and drawbacks · Learning · Intent
Dreamwalking was a Force power wielded by the Jedi of old. The technique has been long forgotten, burried by the old Jedi Order. Dreamwalking was an ability that allowed Force-users to infiltrate the dreams of others through a deep and dangerous trance. Practice of this technique was abolished thousands of years ago, because the strain of this technique often left it's practicioners mentally scarred.
_
▵Known applications
With the technique abolished thousands of years ago, there are only very few individuals who know of it's existence. The original application of this technique was to heal the minds of those who experienced great traumas. But soon after it's creation, more nefarious applications of the technique were discovered. The Dark-side allowed dreamwalkers to trap others in nightmares and cause their victims to go insane. This lead to the eventual abolishment of the technique.
Dreamwalking was no technique accesible to just any Force user. Untrained Force users who attempted to wield this technique often found themselves trapped in layers of dreams, eventually dying from either the strain of the technique, or the starvation of their physical bodies. More experienced Force users were able to infiltrate dreams or ward others against invasions, if they were near a Force Nexus or guided by a master of the technique. What made this technique so dangerous for those who weren't proficient in the technique, was that they were at the mercy of the hosts subconscious mind. While they could interact with the host, altering a dream that was not their own seemed an impossible task for even experienced Force-users.
Masters of the Force who were proficient in this technique were at their most potent. They could guide less experienced practicioners of the technique and keep them safe, which was the reason why learning this technique without a teacher was near-impossible. Being proficient also meant that they grew more resistant to the side effects of dream walking, such as the major headache which often followed after succesfully performing the technique. Practicioners of this level could also alter dreams even if they weren't the host, provided that the true host didn't know he or she was dreaming. Dark-side users of this technique could trap hosts in their dreams and transform said dreams into horrible nightmares.
The most exceptional and strongest users of the Force were nearly invulnerable in dream invasions, able to execute the technique in remarkable speed. They could link the minds of multiple people, trapping entire groups in one dream. These Force-users were only limited by their own imagination in this dream world.
▵Limitations and drawbacks
Despite the obvious power this ability has to offer, the drawbacks are less appealing. Even if someone executing the technique was hard to bring down in a dream, their physical bodies were extremely vulnerable. Another problem was, that those who invaded the dreams of others had a chance of dying in the process. Because they shifted their consciousness to the dreams of others, death in those dreams meant the death of their consciousness. It forced novice users of the technique to be very careful, as death could be around every corner. However, a master of this technique with the ability to alter the dreams, could not instantly kill another invader. Their consciousness warded them against direct creations involving their spiritual bodies. Altering the dream to instantly impale another invader with spikes or surround them by magma for example, was therefore not possible.
Moreover, their powers were often wavering once the host found out that their dream was being invaded. Altering dreams became a lot harder and even leaving could sometimes form an issue. If the host woke up however, the invaders would be thrown out of their trance, with a severe nausea and headache.
▵Learning
Learning requires intense training and guidance of a master to both enter, survive and leave dreams. A Force-user wishing to learn this power must be proficient with telepathy and psychokinesis first, as both abilities form the base of this technique.
▵Intent
The purpose of this ability is to add a more advanced out of combat application of telepathy to the mix, creating more diversity in the use of Force powers and it's wielders.

Niman: Fire Surge
Known applications · Limitations and drawbacks · Learning · Intent
Niman Technique V, Fire Surge, was a technique developed by masters of the Niman Form. It involved the application of Force Fire to one's blade, in order to launch a devastating slashing attack at one's opponent.
_
▵Known applications
Niman Technique V: Fire Surge, was a technique developed for offensive purposes, when one needed to overpower his opponent. While the core values of Niman rested on having it's practicioner survive, this particular technique would allow a master of the Form to take control of the fight, either to create a much needed getaway option, or when the practicioner truly had to defeat his opponent.
The Fire Surge technique is based on the combination between two techniques; The Falling Leaf technique of Form V, and the Force ability to generate heat; Force Fire. By focusing the Force Fire ability on the practicioners own Kyber Crystal, a momentary eruption of fire, often the color of one's own blade, could be generated. This, combined by the movement of the Falling Leaf, resulted in a deadly combination of the Force and physical strength.
More powerful Force users who master this ability can create larger eruptions of flame, which can keep burning for longer amounts of time. The rare individuals who had absolute mastery over the Force, could utilize this technique to keep their weapon aflame for days, perhaps even months. While this also meant that a certain level of caution was necessary, it could easily turn the tides of battle.
▵Limitations and drawbacks
The potency of the technique does not make it invincible. A practicioner of the technique must be skilled enough in both the Form V disciplines as taught via Niman or Djem So, and the Force Fire ability. If the technique is not properly executed, self-flagellation is unavoidable. This often results in severe third-degree burns and if control is lost halfway through the technique, burning one's face is possible.
Because the practicioner channels the Force in harmony with their strike, a high-level of concentration is necessary. Therefore, the recovery time one needs after executing this technique makes them extremely vulnerable. That's why the Fire Surge technique is considered an all or nothing attack. It either succeeds, or spells certain loss for the practicioner.
▵Learning
Because learning this technique requires mastery of both Djem So principles and the Force Fire technique, only truly proficient Force-users can learn this technique. (It requires atleast a level 2 character, as learning Force Fire requires a level 2 character.)
▵Intent
To flesh out Form VI, Niman a bit more and to create a new, useable technique for combat scenarios.

▵Biography
Sihn was born as the illegitimate son of a simple metal worker on Coruscant. His biological mother died at his birth, which forced his father to take him in. Sihn grew up in a family of six; his father and his wife, plus their three children, all of which were older than him. His stepmother hated him from the start; he was the evidence of his father cheating on her. She tried to make his life as hard as possible, tormenting him every day when his father wasn't home.
Naturally, Sihn wanted to move out as soon as possible. His chance came in the form of the Imperial Academy. While most of the Academy was focused on the military, there were special branches for both science and archeology. Sihn joined the latter, The Imperial Institute of Archeology and History, to be specific. The Imperial Academy demanded that all their students had to live on campus, which was a perfect opportunity for him to move out.
Sihn proved to be a very capable student, highly knowledgeable on the subjects of ancient cultures and art. He was forthright, reclusive and a great thinker. The downside of choosing to study at the Imperial Academy, was the three-year conscription all students had to go through. Even Sihn could not escape this fate. What was worse, because he followed a non-military study, the only option he had was the infantry.
His three-year conscription was pure hell. Sihn's unit had a strong anti-alien sentiment. With him being the only non-human in their unit, Sihn became their personal scapegoat. The conscription tarnished the reputation he had built, no longer was he the well-disciplined student. He became a reclusive and largely hated soldier, blamed for things he didn't do. But Sihn endured. Three harsh years passed, before he was finally allowed to graduate from the Imperial Academy.
Finally freed from his tormentors, Sihn became a well-respected archeologist, working to uncover relics of Force-sensitive sects for the Imperial Republica. His job forced him to do research near the warzones, which he eventually got caught up in. The old Sith Empire had raided their camp, killing everyone in their path. All except him. The soldiers brought him to Korriban, presenting him before the Sith overseers. They deemed him worthy to be trained in the ways of the Force.
Decades passed, during which much happened. But none of it mattered to Sihn. He had gained an interest in Sith Philosophy and the Dark Side and as long as he was an acolyte on Korriban, no one could stop him. That was, until the mindbreakers came. Korriban fell, forcing the Feeorin out of his isolation. Now, seeking revenge, Sihn joins the war effort.
▵Personality and traits
Sihn is reclusive, forthright, cold and calculating. Having been tormented for most of his life, Sihn naturally distrusts others, which has been amplified by his Sith Philosophy.
Sihn is a devout follower of the Rule of the Strong, but has no qualms against using the rule to his advantage. He has purposely kept his role in Sith affairs as small as possible, going virtually unnoticed. It allowed him to fully submerge in the history, culture and philosophy of the Sith. And the Dark Side, of course.
While many Sith dismiss the weak, Sihn believes that, through weakness, greater strength can be achieved. It is the reason why he rarely lashes out or threatens non-Force sensitives, or lower servants of the Sith. In fact, Sihn rarely lashes out at all. His raging turmoil of emotions usually lies hidden under a layer of calmth and patience, which perhaps makes him an even more daunting appearance.
Having served in the Republica's military, Sihn has experienced great anti-alien sentiment. Thanks to this, Sihn has come to hate humans with a passion. It's one of the reasons why he generally prefers to stay out of military matters, since higher ranking officers are often human.
▵Powers and abilities
Sihn is a very knowledgeable person,
Sihn relies on strength, efficiency and minimalistic bladework when it comes to utilizing his lightsaber. He is patient and deceptively fast, but it is not his skill with the lightsaber that makes him dangerous. It is his unhealthy obsession with the Dark side of the Force.

Velka Grimlaug
Excerpt · Biography · Personality and traits · Powers and abilities · Equipment · Roleplays · Relationships
Velka Grimlaug was once a simple woman living in Alderaan's mountain ranges. That changed however, when her grandchild, a Sith acolyte, tried to massacre the entire family. Disappointed in his weakness, she decided to take his place herself, ready to submerge deep in the Dark Side and return the Empire to, what she considers to be, it's former glory.
_
▵Biography
Velka Grimlaug, born on Alderaan, believes in one golden rule; If you want something done right, do it yourself. She lives and breathes this rule, from her childhood until this very day. Living in the mountains meant that Velka and her family lived reclusive lives. During her childhood, Velka learned how to take care of their animals, harvest their crops and fix their house. Rarely did she descend from the mountains, only ever doing so if her father had cattle to buy or sell.
Velka married a cattle farmer, like her mother did, at the age of eighteen, starting a family of her own not long after. She had three children, two boys and a girl. She lived an average life, being the reclusive wife of a cattle farmer.
Something that was quite rare, as most other inhabitants of the mountain ranges moved to the nearest city, Aldera. Therefore, it became a difficult task to find suitable wives and a husband for her children. What was worse, was that they needed homes of themselves. And despite the fact that she loved her children, she knew they were not competent enough to build houses of their own. Thus, when her three children came of age, the now 36 year-old Velka retired.
Some say that with age comes wisdom. In Velka's case, brutality and a lack of care. She was respected among those who lived in the mountains though, as many came to her for both advise and age. After four years of guiding the remaining mountain people, Velka grew tired of their questions. She started dismissing them, only helping the few she considered polite enough, or those who were truly lost.
As devout followers of the Empire, Velka proposed that her grandchildren should attend the Imperial Academy. Since her husband had died an untimely death, her word was law. With her opinion stated, Velka's grandchildren attended the Imperial Academy. The eldest of her grandchildren joined the Imperial Intelligence, another joined the infantry and one was even found to be a Force-sensitive, sent to Korriban to become one of the famed Sith. Naturally, he became the pride of the family.
One after another did her grandchildren return. Atleast, their corpses did. Shot, hit by a thermal detonator, slashed across the chest with a lightsaber, all except one returned to her. The pride of the family, her youngest grandchild tasked with becoming a Sith, was still living and breathing.
On a fateful evening however, he returned. The acolyte was tasked with killing his own family, to sever his ties to the past and fully submerge in the Dark side of the Force. He killed all of them, except one. His old grandmother was the last one had to slay. That proved to be his undoing, as Velka managed to disarm him with her words. All the child ever wanted was attention and love, which Velka took advantage of. As she hugged her last living family member, she stabbed him in the back with her skinning knife.
For the first time in ages did she descend from the mountains, dragging the corpse of the acolyte behind her. Sith representatives eventually apprehended her, an encounter during which she proclaimed that, if the Sith were so poorly trained that even an old woman could take one down, it wouldn't be long before the Alliance took over. She would have been killed right there and then, had it not been for the swirling mass of Dark side energy around her. Instead of killing her, the Sith invited her to join their ranks herself.
Now a Sith Acolyte, Velka Grimlaug seeks to rise in the Empire's ranks, to bolster the Empire she so admired under Darth Vrael's rule.
▵Personality and traits
Velka's most prominent traits are her sharp wit, high cunning and intelligence. At first glance however, all that she seems to be is bad-tempered and reluctant to help others. Velka is outspoken, with little patience for inconvenience. She never shies from stating her opinion, unless it's more advantageous to mask said opinion.
While many question her loyalty to the order of the Sith, none can question her loyalty to the Empire. Since her birth has she been a devout supporter of Imperial rule, admiring Emperor Vrael most of all. However, she hates what the Empire became after her death; with shows such as The Emperor in Paradise emerging during the rule of his succesor. Velka will do anything to restore the Empire to, what she considers, it's former glory.
Aware of the Dark Side it's corrupting influence, Velka fears that submerging in the art will lead to an untimely death. She envies the young and detests them for what she considers to be reckless and rash behaviour. What Velka also can't stand, is when others ask her questions. Rarely does she answer without sarcasm or mocking the one who asked her questions.
Despite being part of the Sith, Velka doesn't value the Rule of the Strong like most other Sith do. In fact, Velka is known to, on occasion, offer guidance to the lost and the weak, provided that they are polite enough. She believes that weakness in it's very essence is the pathway to strength, as the weak have so much room to grow.
The loss of her own children is largely responsible for her darker side. She is ruthless and has no problem inflicting pain upon others. Her deep immersion in the Dark Side is backed by a cold, merciless and very objective attitude. She holds grudges for long amounts of time and is willing to work with her enemies to achieve a common goal. Seeking her aid however, is a dangerous act, for she is by no means an easygoing person. That, and her dark sense of humor is not always appreciated.
▵Powers and abilities
Because of her age, it is only natural to assume that Velka prefers scheming over direct conflict. While she attempts to stay on the sideline as much as possible, when it does come to combat, Velka is by no means a pushover. She is not one to practice acrobatics, instead finding solace in the subtleties of Niman.
Because she lived as independently for most of her life, Velka is still surprisingly fit and nimble. Always having taken care of herself, Velka has a great constitution, despite her age. This is mostly hidden however, as her grandson's failed assassination attempt on her life made her cautious, preferring to deceive others by using a cane, while she doesn't need it at all.
Another advantage given by her family it's solitary life, is her knowledge of a great many things. She knows how to survival in the wild, has knowledge of various crafts such as weaving, hunting and building. Also, she has great knowledge of people, because many came to her for guidance. She frequently sees straight to lies and can quickly decipher what one's true intentions are.
While her technique with the lightsaber does not stretch far beyond the primary goal, survival, her knowledge of the Force is on a different level. She knows and has experience with many techniques, especially those of mental manipulation and energy manipulation. Searching for ways to sustain her body and extend her life, she knows she has to delve deeper into the dark side. It is why she prefers wielding the power of the Force over her lightsaber.
Her lack of care has made her a rather calm presence in most cases. Because of this, she is highly capable of performing under pressure, even in life-threatening situations. What may also surprise others, is her astounding speed, especially when it's enhanced by the Force. To keep both allies and enemies in the dark however, she frequently acts like her age has worn her down much more than it actually has, by using her cane, for example.
▵Equipment
As far as weapons go, Velka is in possession of a scarlet red lightsaber and a simple dagger, knowing that a lightsaber will not always do the job. Most of her equipment is hidden under her black cowled robe. It mirrors the equipment of the Jedi, consisting out of a utility belt with energy and food capsules, electrobinoculars, a comlink and a holocomm. She is also in possession of a simple cane, which she uses to deceive those around her.

- 1x variable-pitch Vocabulator
DESCRIPTIONMurmur has been designed and put together by Sakadi Marathi Sinvala and Funani Avanti. Murmur is a simple protocol droid, translating Sakadi's sign language to spoken Galactic Basic. Therefore, with a slight delay, Sakadi has a voice available as long as Murmur is present.
Murmur has a great grip with it's eight legs, but can also wrap around someone's arm to act as a bracelet, in case things are about to get rough. The brain of this little protocol droid is located right underneath the vocabulator, together forming the 'abdomen' of it's spider-like design. The motion sensors and photoreceptors form the head, with the motion sensors extending forward as 'fangs'.
Murmur has no voice of it's own, nor audio sensors. Therefore, it's very hard to try and communicate with the droid, unless one knows sign language.
LEGALITYPerfectly legal, unless droids are not allowed.
INTENTMurmur is made to give my mute character Sakadi some sort of voice to communicate with.
ADVANCED TECHDespite being built from scratch and being an original model, Murmur is by no means advanced tech.
