The Galactic Grand Tournament
A new phenomenon is sweeping across the galaxy and it pits the greatest champions from anywhere imaginable into the same areas at once. The Grand Tournament collects the greatest fighters from all sections of the galaxy; the Jedi, Alsakans, Republic, mercenaries, even pirates, all the greatest fighters attempting to prove to the public that they are THE best fighter in the galaxy. The tournament is broadcast across all worlds for pure entertainment and the glory of witnessing the rise of a new galactic champion.
For the first time, the tournament will begin with tag teams going through the rounds together. Once the number of teams decreases from eight to two, the teams will be broken up and the individual tournament will begin with four competitors remaining. Each of the sixteen participants will be given a number based on the time that they join. Numbers will then randomly be drawn, pairing one participant with another until everybody has a team. After the first round, the remaining eight participants will each be given a new number from one to eight and numbers will again be drawn to make new teams, creating a new feel of creativity. The winning teams will separate and partners will face each other in the first individual round, the winners moving on to the final.
There will be sixteen possible locations to be fought in as well as sixteen unique match terms. For each match, a random number will be drawn to determine the match’s location and terms for the participants to abide by. Each location and each term will give the participants something different to plan for and think about and with the addition of team mates, produces an extra challenge. As always, there will be a three day posting period. If no team mate has posted within that three day period, the team will be eliminated, unless a suitable reason was provided for not being able to post.
