DESCRIPTION​

The Nightingale is a Distance-class corvette in the Galactic Alliance fleet under the Command of Rebel Lieutenant Ner’Giza. The corvette acts as a mobile base for the squadron during times of war, as well as a patrol and picket vessel for the Alliance starfleet, guarding Alliance bases from potential enemies. Command of the Nightingale was awarded to Ner’Giza for her part in freeing the Wookiees above Nar Shaddaa, and also for her promotion to Lieutenant.

The Nightingale is staffed entirely by Wookiees rescued from Nar Shaddaa's orbital starfighter production factory. The only non-Wookiees aboard are Ner’Giza’s droid, KLT-99Z, 6 of her personal squad, The Quilting Bee, as well as the other members of Star Squadron, or any visitors from the Alliance. 99 considers it his reward for his part in the attack on the station above Nar Shaddaa where he ‘single handedly’ saved the Wookies by shutting down the power collars with which they had been enslaved. The crew of Wookies that man the vessel he believe are honoring the life debt owed to him for his valor in the heat of battle. As of yet, the Nightingale has not been modified. However, it is only a matter of time before 99 pimps it out to make it more formidable in combat.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Distance-class corvettes are considered capital warships, generally making them illegal for civilian ownership. Though Ner’Giza, not 99, has the command of The Nightingale, and it is generally referred to as "her ship," it is strictly Alliance property and can only be used for Alliance missions.

To give an account of the modifications being made to Nera's Corvette for PvP and other mission purposes.

Yes. Distance-class corvettes are not trivial to buy, steal or otherwise acquire, and it would take a plot to do so.

Hey, so, there's no way this is a Distance-class corvette, not even a refitted one; in fact, it's very plainly a CR90 Corvette, which won't exist for at least another 6,000 years. Please ensure that the image you use matches the class of ship it is.

tsk.... the one that matches is so ugly. i thought it was the write up that mattered, by example, how the Mynock doesn't even show a ball turret but the write up does. what if I reduced the number of decks from 4 to 2?

I of course will change the image and do as requested if my suggestion is not a good one!

I'm afraid the number of decks etc is not the issue. The image you chose is, however, because of the reasons I already mentioned.

If you want to use a different appearance, you could do a reskin with a different class name but identical stats. You would still have to find a different image, though, as the CR90 is definitely too recognizable as being from a future time.
