Kaldar had been furious when he had heard about Darth Tempest's attack on Onderon. He had taken the planet, held it against another uprising by Zorya, and then Darth Tempest - the one person in the galaxy who should have been allied with them - decided in a galaxy filled with people to fight that she wanted to attack the one group that was benefitting her.
Kaldar was pissed. Royally so. The fact that Tiamat had moved to defend the planet and managed to bring down the other Sith Lord was excellent news. Kaldar had been over the moon so to speak.
The piece he couldn't quite work out was why the woman was still alive. Tiamat had kept the woman alive rather than killed her, and kept her heavily sedated so that she wasn't making any attacks or threats.
It was a bit baffling to Kaldar, but it was time to figure out the next steps before things got out of hand. They had the upper hand for the moment, and Kaldar had every intention of keeping it.
Rather than taking the Sith Lord to Hoth and risk the most secret of their bases being exposed, Kaldar had arranged for the meeting to take place on Saijo, the fortress world of his soldiers where they could meet without fear of attack or interruption.
