Name: Lucidron Angel Link: In Signature Rank desired: Interested in a Secretary or Deacon position. Reason for joining IC: During his service under Captain Kaiser Gulheim in the Alliance Navy, Lucidron's military career evolved into a political career. Lucidron's friend and mentor had been a member of the Canted Circle since he still had color in his hair and strongly hinted at its existence and his membership, hoping Lucidron would follow in his footsteps. Gulheim felt that, if he stayed on the right path, Lucidron could change the galaxy in unimaginable ways, but at the same time he recognized the possible danger of Lucidron's ambition, warning him often of the danger that came with power. From the beginnings of his career as a naval officer, Lucidron had coveted a title within the fabled order, and would go to any measures to see it recognized.
Yes it is. Ball at this point is doing all approvals of members so I think he has just been busy, other than that I believe we are waiting on faction approval from LAvi
That isn't my choice, ultimately the direction of the faction lies with it's members.
I would support it's direction, be that illuminti style, humanitarian group or a financial elite.
As I see it, the Order currently is an association like the Freemasons, aka: It is something you join because your dad was in it, or because you think it is a nice idea.
Of course, if people want it to become amiitary order - like the Templars - then IC'ly that is the direction its members will push for.
Not every faction needs to have a set purpose, not every faction needs to have a rigid structure and an OOC goal.
One of the things that I personally would like to see is the group trying to set up a 'Utopia' Project on one planet, maybe an asteroid, with the population by invite only.
A research hub, with a good justice system - which could include a 'police for hire' for the more militant members - and then using their political clout to try and spread these ideas to other worlds, a 'New Galactic Order'. My suggestion would be for this to start out as a 'Quasi-Religious Order' (like we have currently) on the Deadalus, before spreading to an asteroid, then using political machinations and conspiracy to spread to actual planets :)
Name: Xanthus
Link: Xanthus
Rank desired: Treasurer or Deacon
Reason for joining IC: Approximately twenty years ago, Xanthus was taken in as the apprentice of a master assassin after a failed attempt on the man's life. Though his mentor had focused on the arts of stealth, combat, and assassination, he had seen fit to teach his pupil about politics and economics as well. The man who Xanthus knew as "Mentoris" had been a Councillor in the Order of the Canted Circle, and introduced his young apprentice to the Order so that he could learn the subtle nuances and intricacies that the group could teach. From then on, Xanthus was affiliated with the Order through his days as an Assassin and Imperial Knight. When he became a Sith, he loosened his ties to the Order but kept himself affiliated with it to maintain the usage of the connections it allowed access to. After his rise to Master however, Xanthus strengthened those ties again and for eight years gathered influence and prestige among its members as a Deacon. This would prove to pay off in the long run, for Xanthus has come full circle after leaving the Sith for the fledgling Rebellion. Xanthus's goals for the organization are twofold: on one side, he wants to see it grow into a group that has the power to aid the common people of the Galaxy. Though noble in theory, this goal has more to do with Xanthus feeling a need to atone for various high-level sins committed during his days as a Sith. On the other hand, his second goal for the organization is to see it become another player in the war against Andraste. As fate would have it, he is now in a position to affect the growth of the Order towards one or both of these goals: with the recent stepping down of the Treasurer due to advanced age, Xanthus has taken his opportunity to ascend to his former mentor's seat on the Council.
(If selected as Deacon instead of Treasurer, ignore the italicized)
