The Path Less Traveled By

The wind swept through the greenery that surrounded the man disguised by brown robes, fellow rebels moving about to and fro, but this man seemed to be walking in the opposite direction, towards the edge of the Forest. It was the beginnings of dawn, when the first light of the sun shone across the sky and lit the small pathway in a warm half-glow. Horus, for his part, fully intended to head into the woods or at least remain on their edge and meditate, as was his morning ritual. He found meditations at dawn to be the most opportune time to collect your thoughts before a long day of work. He likely had missions to attend, and if his budding plan was successful he would hopefully be able to get his Master and the remaining Knights in a mock Council. He had but two proposals, and both where of equal import.

The sooner I get it done, the better. It'll generate debate, but I suppose that's the point.

He walked to the nearest pine, right off the edge of the woods and a few feet from a makeshift outpost that was soon to be abandoned by the small company of soldiers that had sought shelter. Horus had offered his ship as a possible sleeping area, but the Commander had insisted on remaining should a situation arise. It was interesting to see how loyal members of the Alliance had become to their cause. Of course, Horus also sensed a Force Sensitive nearby but pinpointing their location wasn't nearly as important at the moment, considering his task at hand. Kneeling down, he sat cross-legged and gently folded his arms into his robes, closing his eyes. The light washed over him, bathing him in a gentle morning glow akin to the trees about him as he set deep into a meditative trance.

Quolon trudges through the dense trees. He wasn't sleeping well at the moment, his head so full of knowledge and things he'd learnt from his travels. Sometimes he found it hard to keep it all in check and to prevent anything from fading. These times in the morning he found relaxing, and was a chance to be by himself, and as himself. His own company was welcome and he felt a soft harmony within in resonating with the calm forest around him.

Still, he wished to learn more. The Force had so many secrets and he had such a thirst to learn as much as he can. He was still unsure of his place, in both the Jedi Order and Alliance, which he valued more if any. but The Force had its own way of telling him and he trusted it. As his boots break yet more twigs underfoot he senses a connection to the Force not too far away. A strong one too. He wasn't aware any other Force Sensitives were here and to his pleasure, he felt only the Light Side of the Force.

With nothing else to do he lets The Force guide him as he makes his way over to what he senses to be a strong connection to the Force.

OOC: Sorry for the wait, had moving to do.

The wind has almost died down, witling through the trees like a scythe in a field of briars, carving it's way down the winding path to gust over the Vahla. There he sat, entranced in a meditation of his own making, seeking the equilibrium of the Force itself to guide his actions. And, sure enough, it seemed the Force had answered in record time. All at once he felt the weaker presence within the Force grow nearer and nearer, until finally whoever it was would clearly be able to see a man levitating in the middle of a field. The sight of a Jedi wasn't something people missed, especially such an open display of skill and tenacity. Even some of the soldiers had grown distracted and simply gazed idly in his direction, muttering among themselves. Horus had shut them out, for the time being, focusing only on the presence of the other force sensitive's approach. His entire world was now focused on the boy, and it would be obvious enough, as though a tempest of energy decided to make you the center of its storm. He did not open his eyes, but his body did begin to rotate towards the presence, stopping suddenly.

"I can sense your presence. A spark. But a fiery spark nonetheless. I can also feel your curiosity. What can I help you with?"

He isn't perturbed by the levitating man. His voice was soft like honey. He takes a moment to appreciate their surroundings, the soft breeze on his face and warm sunshine on his skin. His golden tattoos reflect the light, seeming to meit their own illumination. As the man rotates toward him he is a litle taken aback by his direct question, whilst being impressed by him not needing to or feeling the need to open his eyes to speak to him.

"I was hoping you'd be able to tell me that" he replies, with a nervous laugh. "The Force guided me here, Master Jedi, it must be for a reason" He found himself addressing him as a master despite no evidence to suggest such, but his calm demeanour and stronger connection to the Force suggested to quolon he'd had time to hone his skills and strengthen his command of the Force. Maybe one day Quolon too would be able to achieve something similar. But for that he needed guidance.
