The crime family has been around for ages. Starting as a small-time Corellian Militia the family began to work their way up through organized crime and now a full blown mafia. The mafia, or so called "family" is bound by a strict passively hierarchal chain of command and tenets. Breaking of any of the tenets is enforced by a number of different punishments. The family also has a code of honor that is maintained.
For the law- the family is a high-strung, organized, gun-slinging, smuggling, slaving mobster gang that interferes with money and plays both side of the fence when it comes to the war. The problem is- that there's no evidence to support the theory or incriminate the family for any illegal activities.
To the family though- it's just business.

It's all about the credits and the honor.
-Fast speeders and fancy woman, as long as you take care of yourself and your family.

The Pimps Of JoyTime may have been around for around a thousand years, but they've only yet begun in the galaxy. The family owns two bases stationed on both Coruscant and Corellia, one on both an empire and a republic dominated worlds. Easy for swapping safe-houses when things get too hot. But recently the newest inherit Pinhead of the family has decided to expand beyond the two planets and hit up the rest of the galaxy for it's credits. All accusations have been denied of course, but the unspoken truth remains present.
Guilty until proven Innocent.

So far both the empire and the republic alliances have been trying to crack down and expose the family, however nothing has yet to be found.
It seems that even for them that this small group of mobsters is too much...

"I've been in this family business a long time, and I can tell you first hand that if you need- and I'm not saying you do, but IF you need anything taken care of... My boys are some hard workers."

The family's been around for years- It all started off back in the olden days when the Republic and the Federation started fightin', see. When droids started droppin' on planets' doorsteps we would relay back intel. 'Yeh', It was pretty noble alright- but than the family started gettin' more active. We started fightin' back- not like some mercenary groups or some rag-tag militia. We were balls out protection, and we could protect- ha. Lemme' tell ya'. In fact, we were so good at protectin' that we sold our protection for profit.

Now, sure this was good and fine an' all, but it was only afta' the empire rose up that we started makin' the real money. See, when dat' happened we started takin' advantage of the situation. Heh, if you know what I mean. Now... Everyone had some rules laid on em', and trust me when I say this- Not everyone liked the rules, include ourselves. Sooo... The family decided that the rules weren't so good, but better. The rules were great- Ya' know what for? For Profit, that's what for! Trade, economics, the whole shi'bang! They had taxes on everythin'. Transportation, trade, hell if they could have put taxes on the air the would've. So we started smuggling- And smuggling and protection turned into racketeering.

And that my friend is the story of the businessmen that this fine family came from. Now if ya' were to ask me if I was in a crime family- than I'd proly say "What are ya' a cop?" And check ya' for wires or maybe slap the shit out of ya'. I mean- I gotta whole family to protect that's under my wing. Besides, we like to think of ourselves as 'specialized business-men' anyways.

So back to the future for a minute, let's talk...

You wanna' be just like ya' old man, huh? Well son- Let's go for a ride...

In order to join the Pimps Of JoyTIme you must approach THE Capo Crimini or Capo Bastone with an offering to the family and a kiss on the hand. If you are accepted you must first go through intensive screening and background checks before you go through training by either a Caporegime/Capodecime or higher ranking family member. Training consists of a multitude of jobs that are performed by the Adepto with help from the tutor. The Adepto must complete the following:

One training thread that includes one mission and a teaching of the family code. Must be a minimum of thirty five replies.

Code Of Honor, The Code Of Silence:

When you enter our family you take an honorable code of silence.
-You are never to discuss any family business or activities with any outsider. You break this code you become a rat, and rats always pay with their life.

The honor code includes vows to respect your family, the hierarchy, and the punishments of breaking any code. Above all, the honor code implies that no man is above his Family, and that no man should put anything or anybody ahead of his family.
In return, the Family protects and supports you (and in case of death, supports your family). You trust and rely on your Family in bad times, just like in good. This type of support is always there if you are loyal, productive or an influential member of the Family.

Loyalty, obedience, honor... you see a pattern emerging here? The public is fooled into thinking we are a bunch of thugs thanks to the media, but we are men above all -- honorable, educated, business-savvy men. Don't you forget that.

Tenets And Punishment:

Do not steal from family, punishment - death.
Do not kill family, punishment - death.
Honor the hierarchy, punishment - death.
Honor the code of silence, punishment - death.

Let me be frank about the goal of The Pimps Of JoyTime: It's to make money. Period.

It's not about being Corellian, the culture, swoop-racing, the food, being pals with nicknamed fat guys, or playing pazaak. It's about cash; the art of making it and the art of hiding it.

To make money the way we make it, we need to maintain the structure of The Pimps Of JoyTIme and the Tenets. Diplomacy doesn't always work, you know what I mean? So you use whatever means you have to in order to protect your Family. If someone is blocking you from making money, you try to resolve it as honorable men. When that fails, you must put words away and select an alternative weapon, capisce?

POJT Ranking

* Capo Crimini/capo de tutti capi: boss of bosses

* Consigliere: advisor/family counselor

* Capo Bastone: underboss, 2nd in command

* Caporegime or Capodecima: lieutenant, typically heads a faction of 3 or more soldiers comprising a crew

* Sgarrista: a foot soldier who carries out day to day business of the family. A "made" member of the mafia

* Piciotto: lower-ranking soldiers; enforcers. Also known in the streets as the "button man"

* Adepto: Hopeful in training, someone that is being tested and taught the ways of the family.

* Retired Family Member: A retired family member is a family member who has been excused from his duties for any reason that the Capo Crimini finds worthy, or a Capo Crimini that has stepped down from control.

The family's rank is based off of income. Advancement is dependent on income and the jobs that you've performed.
To be promoted rank and rank again your requirements are two or more times the amount of your last promotion.

A Piciotto must have made an income of 5000.Creds and have done at least two jobs to be promoted to Sgarrista.

A Sgarrista must have made a total income(since promotion) of 10000.Creds and have at done at least 6 jobs to be eligible for advancement.
(In order for a Sgarrista to be promoted to Caporegime or Capodecima, the Sgarrista must gather three other members that are willing to be under his command. No more, no less.
May contain three Sgarristas, two Sgarristas and one Piciotto, or one Sgarrista and two piccioto.)
A Caporegime or Capodecima must have acquired(since promotion) of at least 30000.Creds and have done at least 13 jobs in total to become eligible for a spot at new Capo Bastone or Consigliere.

In order for a Capo Bastone to advance to the new Capo Crimini, he/she must have acquired both 50000.Creds and performed at least 15 jobs including one Major heist. And also have one loyal unit comprised of at least two sgarrista to do battle with the Capo Crimini and his unit of chosen family members. It is a battle to the death and must take place with a warning at least four days prior to battle. The Sgarristas that have been chosen to become the next Capo Bastone and Consigliere than advance to their ranks.
*However the Capo Crimini does have the option to step down from leadership and become a retired family member- and may call upon willing family members for assistance.

Racketeers:
ANY RANK

1-2 Unit members.

Someone has some insurance money due, and you need to go collect. You must go to the establishment (bar, store, etc.), and collect the money.
-You will either be confronted by the staff members and bouncers, or the local authorities. You must get the money first, and get away comes second...

-Payout: 300 creeds.

Sgarista and up.

1-3 Unit members.

You are going to meet up with an illegal arms salesman to confirm a purchase on a crate of two-thousand modified blaster rifles. Or you are meeting up to sell a crate of two-thousand modified blaster rifles.
-The meeting will go sour either by the buyer turning on you than local authorities showing up to respond to violence reports.
-The local authorities show up to raid the meeting.
-The buyers being authorities and you are stuck in a sting operation.
Money must be collected, or crate must be secured before making your getaway.

-Payout: 700 creds.
Hits:

Minor Heists:
At least 1 sgarrista.

2-3 unit members.

You are commencing a small scale bank robbery. Neutralize security, hold hostages, apprehend staff, and break into the safe. Get the money and fight your way out through authorities, or proceed into a high-speed chase. (must consist of a automobile part and a onfoot chase.)

-Payout: 1000 creds.

Major Heists:

Jail-Breaks:
*Jail breaks consist of at least two people from your unit (max 4 from your unit) To break a family member, or client out of either a republic, or imperial prison.
RP must be confirmed with faction leaders and must have at least two players of the opposing faction.
-Payout: 5000.Creds

BLOO. This is an insane number of threads for one indie faction. For the love of god, please compile them so I can purge the board of all these unnecessary extra threads.

Very sorry about the long delay: I had myself on leave for half of this month, so I was barely on the site for a while.

My only question is how large is the faction as a whole, in terms of manpower? It seems to be a mafia-like organization, rather than a small crime ring, so I should be able to learn roughly how many people are a part of this organization. Also, is there a fleet of any sorts for this faction? Remember that the max fleet size is three (3) corvettes.
