Corax nodded. It was clear that whoever was here was now gone, and unlikely to bother the two Sith further. That was most of what Corax was after with this whole operation, though it did plant in his mind an idea. It seemed it did the same for Eddard who moments later suggested they should contact the BHG to see if there was a price. Not precisely what Corax had in mind, but it would work, and possibly be in line with what he thought as well.

As fun as this escapade has been, we should get back, he said, once they were finished gathering what they needed. I'm going to have my partner bring the supplies in, he said before opening up a radio com.

Bring in the goods, he said as he climbed into the speeder and began zipping off toward the building they'd come from. No one would be bothering them now... or at least, he certainly hoped not. Somehow, he half-expected those pesky Badgers he'd been hearing about to turn up at any moment. @Nefieslab

Time to get back to the job at hand.

There had been a lot of driving around and chasing down smugglers for something that had promised to be so simple to begin with. But, he supposed, it was better that it got 'interesting' this way rather than with someone attempting to stop them. So he supposed he should be thankful that the worst he'd had to deal with today, so far, was a drive across the city and an empty, albeit bloody, room devoid of smugglers.

Though that was weird when you put it like that.

Arriving back at the original building, he jumped out of the speeder and glanced at Varyn.

"You trust your man?"

The question probably didn't even need to be asked but Eddard was nothing if not consistent with his paranoia.

Corax and Eddard arrived back shortly, coming to the same building where it had all started. Dav was already there when they arrived and had started placing the charges in apartment 476, directly under 576. Implicitly, he responded to Eddard's question. It was the highest compliment that he could give anyone, and it was, in fact, at this point, a compliment reserved only for Dav. He and his pilot had been close friends for years, and that was only strengthened when Corax had recently saved the man's life.

We should bring in our prisoner, he said. She had been kept off site, and Corax realized that it would likely be better not to bring her in at all. The assassin went through, checking that each of the charges was firmly attached to the floor before making his way up to 676 as well, directly above the improvised interrogation room. The charges there were placed in such a way as to cover the entire room below in the blast radius of the explosives. Actually, let's not even bring her here, let's get everything set up off site first, he said, turning to Eddard to see if he agreed.

Well if Varyn trusted the other man this much then he wasn't going to question it. They both well knew the dangers of being betrayed in the business they were in so for someone like them to trust someone so much? Well, Eddard was glad that his ally had someone he could trust that much because he would be damned if he had someone he trusted like that.

Trusting someone implicitly... that was like something out a fever dream for the perpetually paranoid Eddard and it wasn't like anyone was really going out of their way to prove it to him either.

But that was a tangent for now.

Ah yes, the prisoner.

"Off site first." he agreed, "We want to make sure that everything runs smoothly and part of that will be testing to see if it will actually work I suppose. Then making sure we actually do it."

He double checked the explosives, noting that they were sufficient not only to explode the room but probably several floors. Sometimes, when it came to explosives, there was no such thing as overkill. Explosions were not usually his style but sometimes they worked well.

"I've been practising." he admitted to Varyn, "Just to make sure."

Corax gave a nod as Eddard said he'd been practicing. He was glad, as even a moment of wavering could be incredibly costly. Good, he said. We need to move then. He'll likely be here soon, he said. It was only a matter of time until their target arrived, and Corax wanted everything set up when it was.

Corax jumped into a speeder and zipped the mile to their other location site where they were going to meet their other person involved in this little escapade. No doubt she would be waiting when they arrived, and now the operation was mostly up to Eddard. Corax dismounted the speeder and looked to Eddard. I have the detonator, anything else you need from me? he asked. If not, you two should get ready, he said.

That was true - it wouldn't be long before he was here he supposed. That meant that it was time to cut to the chase and that meant that it was, indeed, time to get on the same page with the person he was going to be actually doing the whole thing with in the end.

Was Varyn needed for anything else? Not that he could think of honestly now that he thought about it.

"Either to be ready with it or hand it over." He admitted with a small shrug before nodding to the other man, "Otherwise? I think you've done enough."

Now dismounted, Eddard turned to his other ally - the one who would be by his side during this part of the operation.

"Ready to get to work princess?"

It was time almost time.

A few weeks ago Nymeria would have been very bored at this point, sitting around doing nothing, but facing that Crusader with Corax had changed things, had changed her. It had opened her eyes to how much further she had to go, how much she could still learn. So while her captives were off having their fun, she had been deep in meditation, focusing on improving her control over the Force, tiny step by tiny step increasing her familiarity with the Dark Side. She was not going to be a slave to it like some other Sith, but she was going to make it a lot easier for her to summon it at the slightest notice.

So had Corax and the princeling who had captured her entered to see find her they would have found her sitting cross legged on the floor, or more precisely floating a few inches above it, deep in meditation. But that wasn't the plan, she was to meet them outside, so she dropped down to the floor and finding her cloak, slipped it onto her shoulder before making her way out to greet the two Sith. Two enemies, as per the weird civil war that had engulfed the Empire.

"Yes, yes, let's get this over with. I don't like being caged, so I want this over and done with. However it ends." And she meant it, she had been a slave once, had spent more than a few days locked up with no means of escape. Never again.

Seemed that their guest and his ally in this was ready to go. Not that he blamed her as all of course - being a captive was really no fun whatsoever. Though they hadn't been unkind to her at all during their time together and Eddard would admit that he was glad he hadn't actually had to harm the woman.

Her cattiness was refreshing.

"Well end it shall." he told her simply as he began to build up the Force within himself, he turned to look at her again, "History will mark today - even if it doesn't mark that we did it."

Taking a deep breath, Eddard centred himself in the Force and sat himself down to remain comfortable while he actually pulled it off - he didn't want to fall over after all. Instead as he sat he immersed himself in the Force... and projected himself outwards and away from where he was physically and into the building that he and Varyn had just left.

It was time.

Nymeria watched as the princeling sat down and she could feel the Force swirling around him. There wasn't really any indication that he had actually done anything, but the way his breath slowed down and his body seemed almost lifeless she guessed that he had done it. With nothing else left to do, she followed his lead and settled down on the ground as well.

She slipped back into the Force, like she had been not too long ago, but this time she felt further, deeper, and where before she had been looking inwards, she now reached outwards. She began projecting herself as well, out and away towards where she knew the Princeling had gone. She hadn't been there like Eddard, but she knew about the building, and it didn't take much for her to pull it off.

And just like the princeling she was gone, body seemingly lifeless as she waited. It was time.

/End Thread.
