It all came down to this.

The Body Snatcher.

The man who worked on sentients across the Galaxy, made some of the best replacements that had ever been seen on the Galactic market and a madman who enjoyed cutting people apart to stitch in some of said replacements.

He was a monster but he did good work and they needed that - he had completed their replacements as per Tomic's advance order but he had been driven from his hiding place and across the Galaxy before they could collect. Then he had gone about turning sentients into monsters controlled by their replacement limbs and organs.

Tomic would just as happily leave the deranged man to his stupid, messed up, 'plan' but the fact of the matter was that that creature had their replacements. He had the new hand he needed and the new arm that Skuld needed.

They just needed to go and get them.

They had managed to get a chip from the remains of the creature from the sewers and it led them here, to the man's lair. He waited outside with his weapons at the ready and narrowed eyes as he looked at the lair and then back to Skuld.

"I really don't like the looks of this place."

All she wanted was a kriffing nicer arm. Was that too much to ask?

She faced abominations, nearly got obliviated by plasma, shot at by enforcers, and had to dig through dead bodies' cybernetic limb stumps for intel. But she really wanted that arm. The one she had was good, sturdy, strong... and she enjoyed the strength of it. But there came a point that aesthetic really was a factor, and the arm that was ordered was with this monster.

So yeah, she wanted her karking arm.

She was fully armed and prepared, and the irony of that almost made her want to roll her eyes. The boy was a good companion, but he loved dragging her into all sorts of odd scenarios.

"If you vanted another Mommy and me project, sonnur, you could have chosen a better location," she replied, sighing. Perhaps that Mando was getting to her, but she knew just on the other side, this male held all the answers.

And more abominations, no doubt. This was gonna be...

Her lips curled into a nearly feral smile beneath her helm.

...Fun.

She was fully prepared, but therein remained the question; was it the man they were looking for?

Or perhaps, the last vestiges of a man? He just needed to open the door for them to find out.

The smell of burning bone filled the air as he worked on his patient. The high pitched whine of the saw drowned out any hit of the man's tune as he whistled, but he continued anyway. His eyes gleamed with a smile as he worked. He always smiled when he worked, it was the only time he found any beauty in the rat invested Galaxy. He was an artist, these bodies, his canvas.

The drill stopped and he continued his morbid tune. He muttered some of the words, something about bones and spiders as he placed the drill down. He was about to pick up another tool when movement on one of the monitors on the far side of the room caught his gaze. He covered up his latest masterpiece as shuffled to the door.

"Ah! Come in! Come in!" he said in a sing-songy tone as he opened to the door before they could announce themselves. He looked over his two new canvases, and what fine specimens they were! He felt inspired already!

"You're late..." He said pausing for a second "...or early?..." he said trying to remember before moving on. "I pray you brought the right components?" he asked raising an eyebrow, his eyes shifting rapidly between the two subjects.

Oh fantastic.

Tomic just stared at the creature across from them before glancing back to Skuld. He honestly thought about throwing her at the creature because he was already getting some very creepy vibes from the creature that reported to be a man. Tomic would argue that the professor was instead some slasher character from a holofilm he had seen when he was a kid.

It hadn't ended well for the frisky teens who had met that man but that was something he would ignore for now since he and Skuld were not frisky together.

She was old after all.

His grip on his rifle tightened as he checked around the area with a practiced eye. Narrowing his eyes, Tomic shrugged.

"We're here for a pick up - some sexy robotic arms please. Then we can go, that cool?"

It was probably not, in fact, cool.

If that boy called her old...

She caught that look. Even if it wasn't visible through helm, there was that look. She wasn't that old, Gods bedamned! She was at prime of life, perhaps... though with the glint in the madman Collector's eyes, she wasn't so certain. But components? Really?

She recalled the sewers. The many-limbed things that chased them, some cybernetic, some not. And knew that man meant more than a few measly credits. But she shrugged, pulling out the data stick that was used to track the male down. The fleshy beast thing was useful in more than one way before it was immolated... including giving her a few notions on just how twisted this man truly was.

Components though? The boy hadn't filled her in on that last bit. This was perhaps the time she should have caught the kriff on to what he was saying... but now wasn't time to scold the boy.

Yet.

"Our order," she clipped out, then held up the datastick so he could see it. "The balance, plus affirmations of your anonymity, so you can continue with your... masterpieces."

Chances were the man wasn't going to agree, but business was business. She wasn't here to save anyone, and it wasn't her job to clean up the scum of the galaxy.

Apparently, that was the lad's job. She was just here to get her new tech... but she wouldn't hesitate to pitch the lad at the man if push came to shove. Hell, the boy was insane and unafraid of death, he could take it.

...Plus, she had to admit it would be an amusing sight to see.
