Sith Citadel, Dromund Kaas

Marasi had survived the attack on the Sith prison, but she had done so a failure. Some might say she had served as a distraction for the Sith Lords to do what they needed to do to escape, but she knew that any victory that day had belonged to the Sith Lords. She had just been a lucky passenger, and she did not intent to always rely on luck. She needed to grow stronger, to become better than what she was right now. That was why she had sought ought Lady Tiamat, to try and learn from her. She had learned that the Sith Lord was on Dromund Kaas, and had taken the opportunity to ask for a meeting. She had not expected a response, much less one that was positive. So as she stood outside the chamber, waiting to be let in, she fought against the nervous energy that threatened to overpower her. She had to be calm, to prove herself worthy to learn, and acting like a child shaking after eating too much sugar would not help in that regard. For as calm and cultured she could seem at most times, she was like a teenage girl seeing their idol in the presence of those who had climbed to the pinnacle of the Sith ladder.

She was about to figure out if she should knock, or do something to announce herself, when the door opened, leaving Marasi standing with her hand halfway through a knock. She stopped herself in time, a second more and she might have ended up hitting the Sith Lord's face in her attempt to announce herself, and in horrified shame she dropped to a knee, head bowed. "Lady Tiamat," she said as she waited with her head bowed, this was a Sith Lord she was dealing with after all, that thought just racing through her head, "thank you for this audience. I am Marasi."

A million thoughts were racing through her head, had she opened the door for her? She looked like she was about to leave, had she forgotten about their meeting? Or cancelled it? Maybe something more important come up, finding something more important than her wasn't probably hard for someone like the Lady. But above all was the simple thought, please don't kill me for almost using your head as a knocker.

Tiamat has received a curious message from an acolyte who requested to meet with her and generally Tiamat was quick to hit the delete button on her holopad of such requests, but decided to have a bit of fun with this one. The response she had given the acolyte was a series of code to decipher and calculate based on what they were able to put together. She did not expect a returned message, and she would carry on as usual. Well, she predicted wrong and they were successful in solving the problem; Tiamat decided she would entertain it further. She invited the acolyte to her quarters on Dromund Kaas, where she delighted in the perk of being a Sith Lord and having more space for her research.

She was feeling more like herself in recent days and had started to pick up on her research, keeping herself busy with replication work as she sat in front of several terminals to fix any code that came through. She tapped a pencil against her chin in thought, her red hair tied back behind her head, and she was dressed comfortably in her leggings and a sweatshirt. If she was able to get away with wearing frumpy, then she took full advantage of it, especially while she was working. There was a shift in the Force, a nervous presence was approaching and it was easy to decipher this was probably the acolyte. Quickly, the woman noted something on the paper in front of her and snaked through the tables of parts and tomes as she reached the large double doors, opening them before the acolyte had a chance to knock. Tiamat's blue eyes widened and then focused on the young lady's fist before she lowered to her knee, addressing her formally.

Tiamat opened her mouth to speak but paused; she found it new and refreshing for someone else to bow to her, but odd at the same time. Often she kept to herself, avoiding the formalities that some liked to try to use to impress the young Sith Lord. "C'mon, inside." she said moving out of the way for the acolyte to enter. She shut the door behind the acolyte once she entered. Marasi would see the walls were covered in numbers, symbols, and star charts; the floor had selected paths to move through the room tables covered in parts and tools, and some pieces were so large, they laid across the floor. In the middle of the room were several terminals, their screens blinked with familiar and unknown symbols and numbers as Tiamat seemed to focus on before turning back to Marasi and a BG series droid rolled out from behind a table to see who the guest was too.

"I need an extra set of hands, Marasi." she stated and picked up a metal box from the table behind her and handed it to acolyte, "Once you can open this, then I'll give you the next project." she stated and went back to the terminals to work.

As Marasi would inspect the box, there would be no opening it, a lock sealed with the Force kept its contents contained.
