Ownership
Ze'kyre Saixc, the last Songweaver

Intent
Primary weapon of the Songweaver, once used both for personal defence as well as coordination of the Bladedancer forces in battle.

Model
The Second Songstress

Type
Twin-bladed katana

Size
The sister blades are twenty-eight inches long, the hilt is a foot and a half long. The sword weighs in at just under three pounds.

Composition
The blade is composed of densely folded bes'kar, created by a mandalorian smith for his half-echani son. The cross-guard, hilt, and pommel have been replaced since the sword's original creation, primarily made of phrik and cortosis, with the hilt commonly rewrapped with white strips of armour weave that allow for manipulation of the various buttons and switches hidden throughout the hilt. The sheath is crafted densely with cortosis, and typically wrapped in armour-weave as well.

Description
The twin blades of this old weapon fit within the same specialized sheath. Curved and slender, they are immediately and distinctively different from the blades of your typical katana in one way; they are slightly thicker and a good deal wider. This allows more space for the core of either blade, which was made of miniature interconnecting pipes.

Very small holes on the back-side of either blade allow air to pass in and out of these tubes and produce sound. The nature of these pipes is so they can be made to slide and shift using martial technique combined with the mechanisms built into the hilt.

Aside from having this unique nature, the hilt has the ability to split evenly down the middle, with a twist of the pommel. This means the blades can be used separately.

The presence of tubes inside the sword would dramatically weaken the blade. Beskar or not this thing'll shatter if you actually try to smack anyone around with it.

Also, having a katana whose blade splits into two katanas is bad. You're weakening the blade's edge, and thicker is worse when you're dealing with a slashing weapon. You don't want your own blade slowing you down as you try to swing and cut.

All in all this sounds like a bad idea straight out of some anime. You may want to spend some time seriously rethinking this weapon.
