Thel raised an eyebrow when Cyutadakyr suggested something more fun. I didn’t know this was fun. He watched as she searched through various cupboards, eventually obtaining a roll of tape. Where is she going with this. It quickly became clear. An unconscious bandit was dragged from the floor and propped up near the barrels. The pureblood taped the man up and then forced the detonator into his mouth. Thel remained impassive. He did think it was unnecessarily brutal. However, he had worked well with his fellow Sith; so, there was no reason to raise an issue.

Yes, I think it is,” he replied. The two Sith moved quickly through the tunnels, back to the entrance they had used. Reaching the hatch, Thel stretched out an arm and used the force to rip off the hatch door. He climbed the ladder and pulled himself out of the tunnel. “Seems we got out in time. Though we’ll need to put more distance between ourselves and the tunnel system.

Inside the storage room, a group of bandits, who had survived the onslaught, approached the barrels. “Look at this,” one of them said, gesturing towards the man tied up in tape. “Is he alive?” Slowly they moved closer. “Check him!” One bandit leaned forward and slowly peeled the tape off the man’s face.

After the pair managed to backtrack their path back to the entrance and exfiltrate, Cyu breathed a sigh of relief that her little present hadn't been found too early. Nodding to Thel and briefly looking around to check that the coast was clear, they quickly made their exit.

It didn't take long before the explosion rang out across the forest, eliciting a smile from the pureblood. "Seems we won't have to look for the party above ground after all." With the bandits taken care of, all that remained was for them to return back to the gang and collect their payday. Cyu would let Thel handle the talking again, assuming they complied.

Thel smiled slightly when the explosion rocked the ground. The bandits wouldn’t come back from this. Any stragglers would presumably flee or be picked off by the syndicate’s security. “No, fortunately not. Now, let’s get what we’re owed.

The two Sith were picked up by the security forces and taken back to the syndicate’s facility. The personnel there were relieved that the issues with the bandits seemed to be at an end. Styre and his guards were sweeping the forest, to confirm the destruction of the bandits’ base and to look for any remaining bandits.

Thel and Cyutadakyr had been escorted to a small room and told to wait. After a short while, the Xexto they had met earlier, Morgano, and two large human guards entered the room. The guards were each carrying a large case. They placed the cases on the table and opened them. They both contained a large number of credits. “I must say, we are very pleased with the work you both have done. Our security personnel have confirmed what you told us regarding the bandits’ hideout,” the Xexto said cheerfully. “They are eradicating the last few survivors.” Thel looked at the cases on the table.

50,000 each?

Yes, as agreed.

May we speak with you in private,” Thel asked. “Uh, yes. Leave us!” they ordered the two guards. The guards quickly left the room. “What is it you wanted to speak about?

You seem like someone we could work well with in the future. Unlike your Pyke colleague.

Well…I…,” the Xexto stuttered, unsure of what to say.

This organisation needs clear direction. I think that we should perhaps discuss a change of leadership.
