The Pantheon​

History

First there was only Shol, the great titan goddess of the planet. She was everything, but she was lonley. Then she found two which she could love. First there was Magatesso the great Sun, he shone upon her and with that came life, trees shot from the ground and flowers bloomed. But this was not enough for Shol she wished for more, she wanted children to walk among her great forests and rivers. Magatesso gave her six male children in his image. They would become the first of the Sholan Pantheon.

Soon these gods became lonely and began to fight upon her surface, shattering mountains and flooding islands. Desperate to find them someone Shol turned to the Magatesso's shunned lover Janiasso the moon. Understanding what Shol wanted Janiasso created six goddesses in her image to calm the six gods. Thus the twelve primary gods of Shola were created.

Caleuiss​

History and Description

God of the Sky, Thunder, Justice and Time Caleuiss is one of the primal three, the most respected and worshiped gods on Shola. He is said to be the first born of Shol and holds the most sway over his brothers and sisters. He is married to the goddess Regania and has two children **** and ****. Many of the greatest Force Users on Shola have claimed to have descended from Caleuiss or to have received his blessing.

He is often depicted holding a thunder bolt as a weapon and a great shield shaped like an hourglass, he wears the toga of Shola and has long hair and a beard.

Regania​

History and Description

Goddess of fertility, family and marriage. She is the symbol of solidarity in Shola and is often well worshiped by the female population of Shola. She is married to the Caleuiss and has two children **** and ****. She has is said to only bestow her favor on a select few unlike some of her brothers and sisters.

She is one of the only gods or goddess not depicted with a weapon, dressed in gold with long flowing hair and a beautiful face.

Bellator​

History and Description

God of war and victory Bellator is one of the primal three gods and is normally worshiped in equal measure to Caleuiss. The primary god of the Legion, he represents the darker sides of war, the pure aggression needed and sometimes a heartless attitude. With his Sister Wife Belli the goddess of tactical thinking they create a perfect image of war and have one daughter Vike, the goddess of Victory.

He is often portrayed in full battle armor, similar to that worn by the legionnaires, he holds either a spear or sword and shield.

Belli​

History and Description

Sister Wife of Bellator and the Goddess of Wisdom, tactical and logical thinking. With her husband they are the perfect mix of ferocity and wisdom the perfect warrior. They daughter Vike is the embodiment of this as the Goddess of Victory.

She is normally portrayed in long flowing robes, with a cuirass, shield and spear.

Pestas​

History and Description

Pestas is the god of the sea, rivers, earthquakes and tusnami's. The second born of Shol, he is one of the most powerful Gods, being able to wreck havoc upon his mothers body with his tidal surges. He is married to the goddess of harvest Messii who he helps water with rivers.

Normally carrying a three pronged trident and a large sea creature is one of the more strikingly portrayed gods.

Messii​

History and Description

The goddess of harvest and agriculture, Messii only receives great praise and offerings come harvest time on Shola. She is married to the god of the sea Pestas and is one of the youngest of the Gods.

She is normally dressed in reeds or other clothing made of wheat or produce, she often wields a large bladed shovel. Something many artists struggle to make look interesting or deadly depending on the painting.

Sholan Republic NPC Types


These are the Sholan Republic's non-player character (NPC) classes are implemented in tactical battles, or for story progression or expansion. Some missions would also implement the use of them and potentially future fights with other factions. At present, there are two (2) classes of NPCs, but this number may be expanded to include more NPC-types as the Republic expands.


1# Infantry - Legionnaires

The front line soldiers and the back bone of republic might. All official citizens of the Sholan Republic, they fight in tightly compacted and well drilled formations. Though smaller in number than some of the other factions, they concentrate on having superior skill and a well drilled military brain to counter this. They are normally equipped with the standard state produced armor and shield but some specialist units are sometimes outfitted.

2# Advanced Infantry - Centurions

Often those blessed by the gods become the famed Centruions of the Sholan Legions though there are many who are not blessed with what the outside world call the force. More advanced than standard Legionnaires in almost every way, Centurions are career soldiers having spent at least ten years fighting as a Legionnaire before receiving a promotion. They sometimes fight alone but are more often fighting in the heart of the Legion surrounded by standard Legionnaires. They are equipped with more powerful Legionnaire armor and shield and wield powerful blades and other short range weapons.

3# Scout Units - Equities

The Equities are the fast response team for the SPOS Legion. Mounted on fast speeder bikes, the jobs include, reconnaissance and scouting, flanking and transferring of vital and important information. The riders are equipped with standard Legionnaire armor and weaponry without the heavy shield. The weaponry is limited and is more for quick and fast strikes and undefended targets than more heavily armored foes or units

SRDI Model-1 'Legionnaire' Armor​

The Model-1 is a standardized suit of powered heavy armor utilized by Republic Legionnaires, developed as a STK by the SRDI (Sholan Researd & Development Initiative)and utilizes thick plates of zal alloy over the chest, shoulders, arms, and knees with a plated 'skirt', all above a thermoguard bodyglove worn just underneath the armor, chosen for it's internal cooling. The model-one is constructed with standard design for Shoran armor, containing a core of white symbolizing purity, with accoutrements of red symbolizing valor. As a trade-off the wearer loses some maneuverability thanks of the restrictive plates of the armor, though it does not fully reduce one's range of movement.

• As Phrik is an extremely rare and valuable resource, the material has been utilized in a very small part of the armor here. The phrik collar on the Legionnaire will absorb one direct lightsaber blow to the neck.

Function 3: Power-Assisted

• The Legionnaire hosts a miniature generator which empowers the suit of armor's exoskeletal system that both makes the armor 50% lighter and increases strength and dexterity by 50% while weqaring the armor. The generator lasts one standard day before requiring a recharge.

Function 4: Limited Space Survival

• The Legionnaire armor has been sealed against the void and can sustain itself when the helmet's visor has been activated. Each suit of Legionnaire carries within it one standard hour of oxygen via tank and a mini oxygen scrubber.

SRDI M1 HEAT HAWK

Description:


Developed by the SRDI (Sholan Researd & Development Initiative) for use by Sholan ground forces, primarily Legionnaires, the M1 heat hawk is to replace the standard vibroblade within the ranks. The heat hawk is a short sword constructed from dallorian alloy which serves to deal with several short-comings of the weapon, and utilizes a high-friction vibration along the edge along-with condusive accelerant to super-heat the sword's edge. the super-heated edge provides greater armor-piercing properties over a standard vibroblade, and thanks to the miniature power field which covers the edges, is contained to the sword itself. The tremor circuit finds itself in the pommel of the weapon as with vibroblade design, however the power field generator is found within the weapon's guard. To note, the M1 heat hawk is primarily a thrusting weapon, though it can still be used with cuts and slashes.


Intent: To create a melee weapon for the Sholan Republic's use which is both unique to the republic and fit within the roman theme of using primaily thrusting weapons in comparion to vibroblades which are primarily cutting weapons. Rather than using tradition high-frequency vibrations, the weapon utilizes heat and friction to get the point across and includes technology not common to melee weapons such as a miniaturized power field and the super-heated blade edge. In the end, we are trying to do something different than the star wars norm that is both inventive and cool.

SRDI M2 AQUILA

Description:

Developed by the SRDI (Sholan Researd & Development Initiative) for use by Sholan ground forces, primarily Legionnaires, the M2 Aquila is designed to replace standard blaster pistols with a design which utilizes particle beam technology within a compact pistol design. The Aquila is designed with a durasteel frame and a dallorian alloy barrel to allow the pistol to get more out of a reload than other such weapons. Mounted underneath the barrel is a small capsule which contains a cutting-edge sensor. This sensor containes a thermal and x-ray imaging suite that increases the shooter's accuracy through HUD feed, and directly reads IFF tags to reduce friendly fire.

Intent:To create a sidearm for the Sholan Republic's use which is both unique to the republic and utilizes the particle beam direction that the republic has decided to go with in terms of their ranged armaments. No other particle beam pistols exist as of current, and so we have decided to create the Aquila for our own use. The senate chamber is alive with chatter, a dozen arguments and more than a handful of rather suspicious looking activities. They had only been in session for around thirty minutes when Consul Trajanus stood from his seat.

"My fellow Senators, after discussions with my fellow Consul and a number of my esteemed comrades." He said waving out at the semi-circle crowd of individuals.

"I bring a matter to the floor that concerns all of our loving citizens and every single man and women in this room. Gamorr has been a thorn in our side for generations. They are a beastly civilization with no real knowledge for the finer things in life, like the arts or philosophy. Instead they look to cause violence wherever they may go. They have attacked Sholan conveys and all of our ambassadors have been either refused or killed. Now I ask you this. Will you stand up and fight, or we will allow this to continue as it has in all of our fathers and grandfathers days." Trajanus sat back down in his seat, looking over at his fellow Consul who smiled back at him.

"I support Consul Trajanus in this matter fully." He said. "And I call any man who fights to defeat this matter a coward and a fool." The Cennus, the man who would count the votes stood.

"If all those in agreement come to my right and those in disagreement by left."

DESCRIPTION​

Developed as the first of the SRDI's Space Superiority Line, the Testudo is an armored transport vehicle used for deployment of Sholan Legions into heavy fire areas. It features an oversized shield generator and a reinforced dual plated hull, because of which the Testudo can withstand extreme environment as well as formidable hostile contacts. As secondary roles, the Testudo can be used for both Search and Rescue and as Reconnaissance.

After relying on to much imported ships, the Sholan Legatus' convinced a number of senators to support the creation of a new division of the Sholan Research and Development Initiative to advance the countries ability to project its power. Along with a heavy battleship and medium strength corvette, the Legatus' called for the need of a transport ship that can get there men and supplies into hostile environments quick and with little casualties. Taking inspiration from the infantry formation the Testudo is defense first, getting its cargo to the fight so the men can get to work.

INTENT​

To give the SPOS Legion's a specialty transport to get them into battle and to add more depth to the faction and its tech. Taking insperation from the roman military formation, its all about defense.
