Planet: Cona
System: Teke Ro
Sector: Inner Cluster
Region: Inner Rim, the Slice.
Co-ordinates: O-11

There is no place where espionage is not possible.
Teke-Ro was a blue orb over, in a tinged white sky. Shadows barely trailed in the midday light. Entering the administrative district, a large humanoid strode toward the central square. It looked this way and that, it’s respirator as augmented by a large hood creating an odd top heavy balance to its form. Long, large arms hung at its side, wrapped in straps and fabrics of varying shades of brown. Upon its back hung a large hardcase pack, containing a shipment of fine imported water and hermetically sealed packages of fresh fruit and nuts. It looked this way and that, then one meaty arm raised to show a strong hand, moving up and touching its head outside the hood. It then turned its searching stance now more focused and guided. With a sense of purpose it moved to the side of the Government building’s main concourse and approaching an alcove entrance to a public building providing an entity with a reprease from the wind.

A button was pressed on one of the arm’s forearm. A static edged voice crackled out over the sand filled air. “The old book you were looking for appears to have found safety with a protector.” It would be a good check to ensure that he had sensed out the right individual but under the mask of his rebreather gear and the hood, there was a playful smirk. Had his contact been keeping up with the code he’d been sent? It was unlike any others he’d encounter in his long years and that is why he favoured it.

His thumb caught his belt, the other hand holding the strap. A quick flick back would have him grasping the hilt of his saber, that lay under an outer wrap akin to the traditional garbs of some political speakers. But his head tilted as he inspected the assemblage before him. He hit the comms device again. “Maybe there is too much sand in my goggles, I understood you to be the rogue I was looking for.

Hooded and wearing a respirator mask Hugo Ion made his way through the capital’s busy streets. Even with an ongoing galactic war, the Durosian rebel couldn’t help but noted how the Arconan people go about their lives. It was as if such a colossal tragedy wasn’t occurring at all. I don’t know whether to hate or envy them for it. He thought with mixed feelings.

Suddenly those sentiments briefly disappeared when a couple of children were running past him laughing and chatting in their native tongue.

While making sure nothing stolen from his pockets Hugo watched the pack go with amusement. Beneath the mask a small grin escaped him and whispered a static voice. “Life finds a way. Like my friends and I did in our childhood.” Focusing back on the objective the Alliance Commander turned around and continued walking.

It wasn’t too long before he reached the planetary government’s headquarters. Using the recognition code Ion was escorted inside. There he saw a similarly disguised Luy already standing before an assembly of Arconan officials. Truth to be told Hugo realized they barely knew each other due to the different duties that a rebel and Jedi would have. Yet the fact Luy was still in the struggle for the Order said a great deal about him from Hugo’s view.

After a few more steps Hugo nodded to the old Master while standing by his left-hand side. Soon they will begin their discussion with the planet’s leadership.

Luy nodded to the Commander and signalled they should move away from the group that had begun to assemble. Within the confines of the Government buildings compund they soon foud an abandoned corridor. Once the coast was proven clear, Luy turned. "Well met once more Commander, I dare say that the Bothan people's tricks have been rubbing off on me. I knew that the previous fellow wasn't you with a use of a code I am working on!" A meaty hand clapped the Commander's shoulder and remained there with a firm grip for a moment or two. But then it was waved of dismissively. "Who knows, maybe there's a future for me in the Alliance as a Watchman of yore, I doubt spywork would be possible... given my presence in the Force." A broad grin was hidden behind his mask and goggles, but his shoulders moved up and down.

His voice, somewhat distorted, did not reveal as much as the movements of his form. Soon he settled back down and pointed to the ceiling of the corridor. "I imagine that for our meeting, we will be sought out, but perhaps we should be back at the main concourse together. Although I would rather wait until we were in the meeting before revealing who we are." The Master's stance hardened, his arms that normally were held in his robes large sleeves crossed across his broad chest. His head tilted down, the wraps slumping with the movement. "I must ask, what do you think our chances our here?"

Commander Ion followed Luy to the secluded corridor. After making sure they were not being watched or listened to Hugo looked back at Luy as the large Jedi greeted him. Hugo had to suppress a chuckle at the old Master’s jest. For someone of his line of work comedy is a welcomed respite indeed. The rebel leader griped his ally’s arm when it clasped his shoulder briefly.

A true comrade is a precious treasure. Thought Hugo while the Jedi spoke further. Once the latter was done and asked about their chances, he replied with a sigh. “It will be a tough sell to them. We’re going to do it, nonetheless.”

With determination in his crimson eyes Hugo added. “We’ve give our introductions only at the meeting as planned. Let’s go, it would best not to keep our hosts waiting.”

Upon saying that the Alliance Commander headed for the back room where the interview was suppose to be. Waiting for them was a pair of local guards and what Hugo pegged as a low-level official. No doubt he was here to greet their group. Spotting the pair of hidden figures, the guards aimed their weapons at the newcomers before the bureaucrat raised her right hand and they guns. Relieved Hugo stepped closer to her and whispered his own code through his mask.

“The delivery is on time.”

The Arconan raised an eyebrow, clearly a bit wary of the strangers before quietly ordering the sentries to open the doors and they did as commanded. Inside the rebel party would see a large black conference table with several seats already filled by politicians. Immediately all eyes were on the duo who were directed toward their own chairs.

Bowing his head in respect Hugo did as bid while the hosts looked on with curiosity mixed in with concern and a few even resentful glares. This will be an interesting interview.
