(I was told to repost here.)

Affiliation: N/A

Ownership: Thamis Galisdoren

Intent: Personal use only.

Model: N/A.

Name: The ship was dubbed "The Talon" by Thamis's father.

Dimensions: The Talon is eight meters long, six meters across from wing tip to wing tip, and four meters tall. When landed, it stands at five meters tall.

Class: Fighter, but the ship is also used for transport, and is excellent for stealth.

Crew: The Talon can hold up to two people, a pilot and a passenger. The passenger usually plays no role unless the pilot is no longer able to control the ship, in which case the passenger would be capable of navigation. But co pilots are supported if the main pilot needs some help.

Complement: None.

Armament: The Talon is equipped with two small laser cannons, one on each side.

Equipment: The ship has sensors and an advanced navigation system that rarily provides the opportunity of getting lost, and also allows the passenger to navigate and control the ship should the pilot be unable to. The targeting system is also quite advanced, to provide in accuracy what the ship lacks in power. There's a very small store room, hardly large enough for a man to fit into, usually stocked with the needed supplies, such as medical kits. The ship is equipped with light shields for dogfights.

Speed: The ship is small and built for speed, capable of reaching up to 105 MGLT.

Hyperdrive Rating: The Talon has a class two rated hyperdrive and no secondary hyperdrive.

Maneuverability: The Talon is extremely maneuverable, built to be hard to hit. It accelerates rapidly, and can perform stunts such as rolls and flips fluidly without dropping in speed. It's also quick to ascend, and could weave through space debree with relative ease. The ship also lands and takes off smoothly and quickly.

Description: The Talon is a ship that was built by Thamis's father and gifted to him before leaving home. It's small, and built for speed, stealth, and maneuverability. It's engines are astoundingly quiet, and its dark coloring makes it difficult to see in a dark atmosphere. It's capable of traveling great distances at great speeds and has a heavily modified, advanced navigation system, and excellent sensors to provide an early warning for anything that might be in the path, or lurking nearby. The ship is also built for light combat, equipped with laser cannons and an enhanced targeting system for increased accuracy. The Talon is not the best ship for a war zone, however, it's certainly capable of handling small skirmishes.

The dimensions on that ship are tiny.

I really know nothing about ships, to be honest, but I know that The Talon is a very small ship. It was custom made, after all, and it was built to be very hard to hit. However, I'm not entirely sure what an appropriate "small" size for a ship would be, so I'm open to suggestions.

I added a few meters for you, though.

You didn't need to repost this here. You could have just asked an admin to move your other thread here.

Well just to fit a hyperdrive, escape pod, and two people into your ship you'd probably be using most of the space you have allotted to your ship.

For the length: The cockpit itself is going to be about two(2.5) meters long for two people to be moderately comfortable. If the escape pod is part of the cockpit itself you'll need another meter or two in length, if the pilots have to move to the back of the fighter to get to the escape pod (which I don't see feasible in such a small space.) another three to four meters would need to be added. Then the engines themselves will probably be another added meter. Bring you to a maximum of 7.5 meters and a minimum of 4.5-5 (and that would be extremely cramped; so keep that in mind if you plan to make long trips!)

Width: An escape pod itself is going to be about two meters across, plus about a meter and a half length of wings (at least) on either side would bring you up to a minimum of five meters of width.

Height: The height is fine, escape pods are typically round though, so I would say two meters is okay for height.

Not a tech admin or anything, this is just my opinion.

Well I messaged Vencu. He said I could repost, and that they'd be doing some stuff here soon. But, staff can delete the other thread if they want. XP.

Edit: Thanks, Tank!

The shields are decent enough to take hits from other small fighters, but couldn't withstand a blast from a larger battleship. There is a single escape pod only visible from the sides and bottom of the ship.

I need you to rewrite the shield strength bit. No fighter can withstand a blast from a battleship, so that's irrelevant information. Saying the shields are optimized for dogfighting might be better... saying "light shielding" is all you really need, though.

Having an escape pod in a fighter is pushing it... and if your character was in a situation where he needed to use that escape pod, it probably wouldn't do him much good. If this is a fast, maneuverable starfighter and it is in danger of being destroyed, what chance does the small escape pod have? None. So you have a choice. You can lose the escape pod and keep the passenger capacity and speed... or you can keep the escape pod, but lose the passenger capacity and reduce the speed.

See, I didn't know that. XP. I thought all ships were supposed to have escape pods.

Anyways, excuse my obvious ignorance. I've simplified the shield description and have gotten rid of the escape pod.

Anyone else feel that this thing should be piloted by Batman?
