Cert focused on the rock again. He envisions the rock sliding towards him. The rock plops down, it moves slowly scooting across the ground. The rock slides making a grinding sound against the durasteel floor. It hit the pad with a soft rap. Cert opened his eyes and smiled, he then closed them and focused on moving it forward. He focused on pushing it forward. The Jedi began using to much concentration, the rock began to crack. It made various splitting sound until it broke.

As the stone stopped before him, a word entered his mind, obviously encouraged by Khaluq, meditation.

"Each day you should meditate and reveal the mistakes you've against the will of the Force so you may have time to make amends. Through meditation, you'll find the truth behind your actions: was it my own will or was it truly done because of the urging felt by the Force," she told him.

Feeling him move beyond her directions and step out on his own, she tried to send a warning message to his mind, yet it was too late. The stone crumbled before his very eyes and she met his gaze, a firmness in her glance.

"Arrogance will cause you to step beyond your limitations and could harm many. It is such pride that can begin a dangerous walk toward the Dark Side, consuming you before you've even realized you've fallen."

Horror struck Cert's eyes as her words revealed what he did was entirely wrong. He felt dispair rush through his veins. "I-i am sorry, it was out of line for me to step beyond the lesson. My apologies master, I will wait for you to teach before I try," said Cert as he saw her stern gaze.

"I will concentrate with more caution next time, please do not be to angry," said Cert with sorrow.

Her gaze softened a little with his words. "I only tell you to warn you of the darkness that so easily can be fallen into. Long before you know it has its grasp upon you, you are gone. I know. Learn from the mistakes of others and hope you never walk the same path as they," she offered in encouragement.

Nodding her head at a rock further away from him, she turned her gaze briefly toward his. "Try again and only seek to move the stone closer to you."

The Padawan nodded. Cert closed his eyes and reached out with the Force. He again felt the small presence of the stone. The Padawan concentrated, he began imagining the rock slowly come to him. To his surpirse, the rock tumbled forward making a soft tumbling sound on the durasteel panels of the floor. It made its way to him and jumped into his lap as a small animal would do.

Cert opened his eyes and smiled, he then looked to his master seeking approval or scorn. "Did I do it correctly?" he asked almost knowing the answer.

She nodded her head. "Very good. Now, as objects grow larger or are further away, they will be harder to connect with and move. Focus upon the rock to the far side of the room," she told him, indicating the one all the way across the room.
