Olmurani sat in the same room he had seen his friend, Anaru, siting in not too long ago. "This is it." He thought to himself. "Today could be the day." Olmurani was excited and nervous at the same time. Today he could be chosen by a master. He felt no Jealousy of Anaru for being chosen before him. In fact he had congradtulated him. Anaru had been chosen by Rev Ultor. "Would'nt that be the coolest thing to be chosen by the same master?" He thought. Olmurani decided that the best way to calm his excitement was to close his eyes and try to meditate.

Taking slow but long strides the Jedi Master carried his form to just outside the door of the training room. Looking it over much had occurred in this room in the past few months. Thinking back to his Padawan that had nearly fallen to the darkside he casted the idea aside before pushing it open slowly. Eyeing his knewest Padawan, and a friend of Anaru the Jedi Master simply flashed his all too well known smile as he paced over towards the balcony. Looking over his should his mind raced as he contemplated various ideas and thought processes.

"Greetings Olmurani, I'm Jedi Master Rev Ultor, and I have the priviledge of training you."

He looked out at Ossus and its serene beauty before turning to the boy.

"Tell me, what is it your know of the Force, and why is it you wish to become a Jedi in our great Order?"

Olmurani was startled by the sudden break in silence. He opened his eyes and recognized the voice of Rev Ultor. Trying to keep his excitement down, he stood up and spoke. "Master Ultor." He began. "I know that the force is an energy field. It is bound to all living things. I know of the force only what I have been taught here."

Olmurani thought it best to get right to answering the questions he had been asked. He thought about why he wished to serve the galaxy as a jedi but the obvious answer soon came to him. "Master, I know what it feels like to be in pain and to pray for someone to help but no help comes to save me." Olmurani paused for a moment. "I want to be the help that others pray for."

Rev stared at him acknowledging his answers then offering his rebuddle. It pained him to say it, but it was the truth no matter how one looked at it.

"You wish to be the help those who need it pray for Olmurani, does that mean you also are willing to not follow through with not helping those whom are in need? We are Jedi, we are not higher beings merely a group who are better in tune with the Force around us. It is impossible to help every being in the universe. Can you live with being able to help those in need, but at times not being able to answer their 'prayers?'

"What was I thinking?" Olmurani thought to himself. "Pray? Why did I use the word pray?"

"I think you misunderstood my answer Master, I do'nt consider myself higher than anyone. And I suppose a better word would be hope rather than pray." Olmurani paused for a moment. "I want to give help to those who need it."

The Jedi Master simply smiled as he heard the boy rephrase the question, though the same answer was still quite aplicable.

"Yes, this is true my Padawan. Just remember hope is something only intelectual beings can posess. A mynock cannot hope to find food, it either finds it or it doesn't. Those who hope and 'pray' for help may not always receive it. It is our duty to help those in need, sadly we cannot help every being in this galaxy. You will one day have to make a choice between helping a person for the sake of helping that person alone, or to help a person that could in a sense change the fate of millions in our galaxy. It is true some are of greater value in our universe, it saddens me to know that, but it is something we must realize. We are protectors of the Republic and more importantly protectors of the Galaxy."

Giving him a reassuring smile of happiness, Rev crossed his arms and stared at the boy.

"Now then, what is it you have been taught in the ways of the Force? Technique-wise."

Olmurani listened and understood. Olmurani thought back to what he had been taught thus far. After gathering the words for his answer, Olmurani answered.

"I have been taught some of the basic force techniques like leap and telekenesis, though I dont think I have gotten the hang of them quite yet." Olmurani though about his answer for a moment and thought it to be sufficient. "I have also been taught the Jedi Code." He added.

Olmurani looked at Master Ultor's eyes waiting for him to speak. He looked so wise and thoughtfull. Olmurani was glad to have someone so renowned in the Jedi Order speaking to him and asking him these questions. Olmurani felt as if he were on a path through a large forrest and Master Ultor was a strong wall on either side of the path that would guide him and keep him from straying from the road.

Rev nodded, this was good it meant he was ahead of most students he had taken on. They could potentially skip some of the basic techniques and move on. Though his skills weren't yet proficient he claimed so they'd still work on them.

"Good, very good."

Taking in a breath he walked with Olmurani towards the workbench tucked in the corner.

"You'll see various tools on the bench, a plasma cutter, durasteel blocks, various bolts, screws, and washers. Re-arrange them from size, smallest to largest through the Force. Remember you must focus my Padawan, see the objects doing these tasks and they will do so. Reach out and touch them through the Force and this task will be easily accomplished."

Taking a step back to give his Padawan space he allowed him to "take the reins."

Olmurani looked at the tools on the bench. "I should probably work my way up from the smaller, lighter objects to the heavier ones." He thought to himself. He reached his hand out, concentrating on one of the washers. He felt the force surround himself and the washer as if it were an extension of his arm. As the small object floated up off the bench an into the air, he decided that it was a bit too easy and decided to pick up one of the screws at the same time. Olmurani kept his concentration on the washer as he focused at the same time on the screw. Just like the washer, the screw floated just above the surface of the table. Feeling quite a bit content with his success, Olmurani set the washer and screw down side by side on the bench. Next, he focused on one of the bolts. Once again, he felt the force connect between him and the object. Before actually lifting off the table, the bolt rolled about two inches but Olmurani mannaged to lift it. As it hovered about, he looked at the plasma cutter. "Does'nt look too big." He thought. He decided to try it. Olmurani turned his hand over, palm up as if to scoop up the tool in his hand. The tip of the plasma cutter lifted about three inches, wobbled a bit, and fell. "Maybe next time." Olmurani said to himself in his mind. After seting the bolt down, He took another breath and lifted the torch a few inches. Olmurani lifted it higher so it would'nt knock any of the previous items out of place and set it down with the motion of his hand. Realizing that he had been holding his breath most of the time, He began to breath normally. Olmurani focused on one of the durasteel blocks. He concentrated on one of them and felt the force between them. He picked it up just slightly and it dropped. "What am I doing wrong." Olmurani thought. He tried once again to pick it up. After a few secconds of trying he thought about the weight and why it weighd what it did and he thought about each molecule in the durasteel and how the force flowed through him and the block. Suddenly, it became easier. Previously when he used telekenesis, he could feel the weight of the object somehow. Now, he did'nt feel any of the objects weight at all. The block floated about a foot above the table effortlessly and gently set in place.

Olmurani let his arm down and smiled slightly. He felt very content that he had just bettered his ability of telekenesis already. He looked at his master in wait of a response.

Rev nodded in approval this boy was more skilled than he had thought it would seem. As it was custom to practice more and more the Jedi Master gave him more instructions.

"Place them back where you found them my Padawan, and we will move on, you did well with that technique, it would seem you just need to practice to get a better handle on things. The core idea of it however you have down, with patience and practice you will be well on your way to becoming a Knight."

The Jedi Master smiled and walked to the center of the room as he waited for the boy to do the acts.

After hearing his master's answer, Olmurani turned back to the bench and placed the items back in their orriginal position. This time it was much easier after having learned the better way to use the ability. He did the task quickly this time and rather enjoyed using his enhanced ability. He could'nt wait to practice it some more.

Olmurani turned around to face his master. "What now master?" Asked Olmurani, awaiting his next task.

Staring across the room was a training device setup to practice the throwing and pulling of objects through the Force. This came in various durasteel pots hung from the ceiling by ropes. Looking to Olmurani he gave the boy a subtle nod.

"Call upon the Force and send out a wave of it at the objects before you. I want you to send it flying, this is to practice the strength at which you're pushing an object. Start weak and work your way up, then back down again. Then we will use something more delicate."

Olmurani took a step forward. He looked at the pots hanging from the celing. Olmurani had never used the force this way before. He focused the forces energy into himself and put a hand forward as if pushing something away. He felt the force flow from his hand and felt it hit the pots like a small breath of wind causing the pots to swing back and forth a little. Olmurani expected the force to be a bit greater. Disapointed, he let out a breath of discontent and looked at his master and disapointingly asked "How was that?"

He needed to further his practice in this aspect it would seem and the Jedi Master couldn't help but smile at the boys discontent with the Force Push.

"With practice your Push will become far more powerful my Padawan."

Reaching out he let out a Force push of his own the pots spinning around the durasteel framework they were on like a spindle before stopping. Walking over to the pots he unwound them then smiled to Olmurani.

"Keep practicing, you must have faith and confidence in yourself. You must also concentrate and offer more focus my Padawan. You will have it down in due time."

Once again looking at the pots, Olmurain took one more deep breath. He tried again but with the same result. "What am I doing wrong?" He thought to himself. "Focus". He said the words in his mind. He focused more on the pots and thought about them as he did with the objects on the work bench. He felt the force come around him like a blanket and build up inside him. As if the force guided his movements, he steped forward with his right foot and put his hand forward and felt a wave thrown from him and it hit the pots hard. This time with more force than he had expected. The pots clanked and spun around as they hit eachother. Olmurani let his arms down and his eyebrows rose in amazement. As the durasteel pots began to settle, one of the ropes broke and clattered to the floor. Olmurani flinched.

"Um, I'll fix that." He said as he scratched his head.

Olmurani looked at his master once again waiting for an answer.

Nodding his head in approval he was learning to better himself with the Force. Staring at the broken rope of the training device he couldn't help but smile, it was an old device and had been through much; it wasn't the boys fault.

"Don't worry about that my Padawan, there is more important things, and that was past its prime months ago. This will actually come as a aid to further your training."

Taking in a breath he looked at the durasteel pot attached to the rope and came up with an exercise.

"Reach out now, and focus as you did with the Push. Instead pull the object towards you, start slow I dont want it slapping you in the face. That pot is much harder than it appears."

He laughed and crossed his arms as he waited for the boy to give the task an attempt.

Olmurani was relieved by the fact that it wasnt his fault that the rope broke. Though somehow, he still felt compelled to fix it. "I'll worry about that later." He thought.

With his right foot still planted in front of him, he looked at the pot that had just fallen. He put his arm up with his hand palm up as if accepting a gift from a friend. Olmurani focused on the pot and concentrated. This time he felt the force like a rope between himself and the pot. He began to call the pot to him. It came slowly at first in short nudges but soon began to clatter across the floor a little more quickly but not too fast. As it began to get closer, Olmurani let the force pull the object to his hand. Olmurani spun the pot in his hand and looked at his master once again waiting for his approval.

Giving his Padawan that nod of approval he so desired he looked to a clay pot that sat on the floor. He would test his Padawan's reaction time this time around. Picking it up he tossed it in the air and simply waited to see if it would crash to the floor in hundreds of pieces or if the boy would be capable of pulling it to himself.

When he saw his master pick up the pot, Olmurani wondered what he was going to do with it. What could his master be about to teach him? Olmurani crossed his arms in thought.

He watched as his master throw the pot into the air. He thought that his master would catch it but as soon as the pot fell below Rev's waist, he realized what his master was doing and time almost seemed to slow down. Olmurani quickly uncrossed his arms and threw one arm out with his fingers spread apart. The pot floated six inches above the ground. Olmurani stared at the clay pot for a moment.

"Was I supposed to do that?" He said with a slightly worried look on his face while still looking at the pot.

The Jedi Master nodded as he looked at the pot.

"You acted as you were supposed to. Acting quickly is a large aspect of being a Jedi. At times you must react as you have been trained as opposed to letting it just act. We're leaders and protectors of our galaxy."

Smiling the Jedi Master looked at the boy and crossed his arms.
