On an isolated and frigid planet, one structure was active. Multiple combat and security droids patrolled the top of intimidatingly large duracrete walls. Uninsulated electric cable lined the exterior of the walls in neat rows, humming with lethal energy. Sunlight was fading rapidly, casting an ominous shadow over the landscape. And, on a hill overlooking the compound, a lone figure lay in the snow. This figure was Viper. As the Super Tactical Droid watched through his macrobinoculars, he ran through the files he had downloaded in his head. Private compound of Maevale Worscu, rich and influential Zabrak female. Worscu is a Czerka Corporation executive. And as the droid observed the fortress, he couldn't help but notice several security issues. Although the structure was intimidating, it was more of a power flex than a practical military compound. The landing bays were too low, meaning an infiltrator (like Viper) could use an ascension gun to access them. The defense weapons were heavy, military-class turbolaser batteries, good for handling large assaults and battlecruisers but not small targets.
Studying the patrolling droids, he couldn't help but think how fortunate he was. Viper spotted at least four BX-series commando droids and three KX-model security droids, as well as a few B2 SBDs. Viper was interested mainly in the first two types. Grimly, he reached down and pressed the button on the detonator remote. On the opposite side of the compound, several clouds of smoke went up, followed by the blasts of six thermal detonators. Immediately, most of the guard droids headed toward the explosions while the turbolasers began scouring the air for an attacker. Now, there was only one commando droid, one KX droid, and two SBDs on Viper's side. Lowering his binoculars and raising his DC-15A, he fired. Since the B2s were of relatively low intelligence, the Super Tactical Droid targeted the other guards first. The commando droid fell with two well-placed headshots, with the KX being racked by eight shots while it sought cover. The large security droid toppled, falling behind one of the turbolaser turrets.
By now, even the SBDs were on alert, furtively scanning the horizon to no avail. Rising from his cover, Viper sprinted with superhuman speed towards the fortress. Blaster fire struck the ground around him, but he evaded the shots, his bulky frame flying over the ground. Fortunately, one of the turbolaser turrets unwisely tried to join in the conflict, firing two green bolts that slammed into the snow. A cloud of smoke, steam, and dirt obscured Viper for a few moments, which was all he needed.
Arriving at the base of the compound, he aimed his DC-15 upwards and pulled the trigger, sending the grappling cable flying toward one of the landing bays. It caught, and after a quick tug to ensure the security of the attachment, Viper reeled it in. Running up the wall while holding the cable, he jumped into the bay and pulled his WESTAR pistol. Two security droids turned to face him, but Viper was faster and fired two shots from his blaster, destroying them. Quickly running over to a control panel, he grabbed his computer spike and pushed it into the socket. The device let out a small whirr, and then the cameras in the landing bay stopped updating and were replaced with a still image from a few hours ago: security droids at attention, one shuttle parked in the bay, and a maintenance droid frozen halfway through fixing a wall panel. To any observer, nothing was happening. Strapping the DC-15 to his back, he headed into the depths of the compound.
