Iego/Millius Prime

vlcsnap-2019-06-09-12h20m25s730.png

"Cheerful." Mid muttered to himself. His new gunship, the 'Sanctus', wove through the field of asteroids, moons and destroyed ships. He stood in the cockpit behind his two pilots, staring out of the view-port at the debris. How many ships were destroyed here? Dozens? Hundreds? It looked like a graveyard around Iego and its primary moon, Millius Prime. That was their destination.

He leaned over and fiddled with a few buttons on the center console, bringing up the holonet to broadcast a song through the entire ship. Not only was this an excuse for Mid to try out an album he got on Randon, but it was a precaution in case the Angels of Millius Prime got curious. Their singing was said to put spacers in a trance and cause them to accidentally crash. If the graveyard in front of them was any indication those stories were true. Mid just hoped that the stories of their peaceful nature was also true. They were sent to negotiate with the leader of the Angels to provide a means to travel through the field of moons, asteroids and other hazardous objects floating around Iego. He was dead set on securing this path with the least violence possible. Though he was ready in case it came to that

As always he was fully geared up, with his crossguard lightsabers hanging from his hips next to his pistols. His knife was behind his back on his belt and his Lanvarok was on his right arm. But he made sure to not load a blade in it or prime the pistols. He was putting a lot of faith in the stories of spacers and half-complete imperial records, but if the records of their appearance was true then meeting these angels could be considered nothing short of a blessing of the Force itself.

He turned and walked back to the recreational area of his ship and took a seat along with his two companions for the mission. They were unfamiliar to him, but he did some reading up. One was a noble from Serenno, the other was a Pantoran with a rather conflicted past. He could only hope that these two would be able to keep a level head and not do anything to provoke these Angels...and that these Angels' curiosity would not cause any issues.

"Alright let's try to be on our best behaviour. These Angels are said to be peaceful but curious. If they seem interested in you or your possessions, just make sure that they don't injure themselves. We need this pathway." Mid gave a quick rundown of the situation. Hopefully the promise of remaining neutral and unhindered would be enough to sway these creatures.

The Sanctus glided through the debris, its shields making sure to repel any harmful debris from the asteroids or destroyed ships as they made their way towards Millius Prime.

She was relaxing in her chair reading a book, it was called the A Sith and a Jedi, the book was about a Jedi who became seduced by a Sith. The problem was she would not come across to the dark side, and he would not go to the light side of the force. As a result, he ended up killing her, as he could bare some else doing it, as they would eventually. As the light is weak and so was she. The book was quite nice, and with a good story to it, don't go to the light side, it will kill you with weakness. As she finished the book, she heard @Mid Samekh speaking about this planet they coming too. He recommends not hurting people who try and steal her stuff, she was not overly happy with that idea, she liked her stuff, that is why it was her stuff. She looked up at him and said Erm could you explain that, as I think miss heard you. They like our possession, I should not stop them? She wanted this clarifying as if it was true, she was taking fewer things down with her. As she did not want to lose her stuff, and not stop them from taking it.

For once was Irolia not reading, but actually, half sleeping on one of the sides of the recreational area's couch. She was leaning up against where the first part of the sofa would merge with the rest of it. Her droid sat on the back of the sofa by her side and was on powered down to save its power. Original she didn't even plan on sleeping on another person's couch, but it was rather soft and before she knew it, she was sleeping.

The sudden blasting of music made her whole body jump a bit just from the shock alone. Parrot, her little bibliomech powered up in an instant like its owner woke and looked down at Irolia, beeping exciting. "Ugh... seriously? I was having such a nice nap" complained the blue alien with her left arm pulled over her eyes to block out the sharp light from the ceiling.

When Mid came into the recreational area and started talking, Irolia moved a bit of her arm, just enough, so her right eye could look over at Mid. She waved her hand nonchalantly "yea yea, be nice to the locals and don't stab them, unless they're being mean" said the blue Sith and sat up. She yawned a bit. Man, she really needed that nap, her sleeping habits have gone really to shab for the last couple of weeks. Never-the-less, Irolia still rose from her comfy spot on the sofa, cracked her back and neck a couple of times and went to get herself some water. Other than her lightsaber hanging by her hip in a belt-clip, besides her lightsaber, had Irolia also brought her "Quickdraw" Blaster Pistol. Hey, you never knew. Lastly, she had her Sith armour on as she always felt naked without it, a sort of Mandalorian mindset when it came to armour.

Mid collapsed into a seat and took his helmet off, running his hand over his face. Sarla was first to speak up, followed by the Pantoran. "I'm not saying you should let them run away with your stuff. That would be disastrous. But if they get curious about your commlink, helmet or something else, let them look at it. Just make sure thy don't harm themselves. They're supposedly curious creatures and they have information we need. So as miss Irolia said: just be nice and don't stab them." Mid spoke calmly. He understood where the Angels were coming from. He's a lot like them when it came to curiosity. Hell, his ship was brand new and already there were files upon files of info of various cultures, traditions and other knowledge on it.

The flight would still take half an hour before they reached their destination. Mid used this time to page around on his datapad and work on logistics for the meeting, making sure everything was where it needed to be. Movement through a viewport caught his eye and he followed. He walked back to the cockpit to look outside. "I think you two might want to see this." he called out to the two sith. His eyes were wide as he stared out the window. All around the ship were bizarre creatures flying without any pressurized gear or anything to protect them from the void, yet it seemed as if they weren't bothered at all. Their pale eyes were looking all over the vessel, but they kept their distance. They most likely noticed the shields protecting the ship from debris.

One of them hovered in front of the cockpit and motioned to follow before flying off to the planet's biggest moon. "So the stories are true." Mid muttered. The stories weren't exaggerating. They were a sight to behold and their ability to glow as well as fly in the void of space raised many questions in Mid's mind. This journey might prove to be quite an experience. He looked at the pilots who seemed to be in the same state of astonishment as him. "Are you two going to follow or what?" he spoke sternly. They both snapped out of their state and moved the ship to follow the angel through the debris. "There's our destination. Millius Prime. Let's prepare for landing." he turned and made his way back to the recreational area.

The ship would be touching down in the next few minutes and the 3 sith would be met by the leader of these Angels. Mid could hardly wait.

Sarla looked at @Irolia Shen as she said sure be nice to nobles, she got it. Sarla was not convinced, being nice was all well and good. Though she did not like the idea, she would go along with it, as best as possible. Though she was not happy with the idea, to say the least. She then looked at @Mid Samekh, and then said wearily As long as they keep their hands to themselves. She did not like strangers coming up, and poking her, and her stuff. She really did not, she liked her boundaries, that was why she had bodyguards. To keep people getting close to her, as they might be carrying a blade or something. She liked people getting close to her, if she knew them and trusted them.

She then got up and prepared for landing, she secured all of her personal belongings on her. She did not like the idea, of people getting to gawk at her stuff. Though she would be flanked by a couple of bodyguards to help prevent this. She really did not like what he was asking of her, let them look.

Irolia walked nonchalantly from the recreational area, still holding the glass of water and showed up in the cockpit. The blue alien was glad she wasn't in the middle of drinking when she looked out the cockpit's window. A strange creature like beings flew outside... in space... matching the ships speed. Had Irolia been in the middle of drinking her water, had she spit it all out, hitting Mid in the neck. "What the hack... those are the beings we are going to meet?" Asked Irolia, walking closer to the pilot seats, to get a better look. Now Irolia got very curious about their mission, maybe she would be able to gather information from the aliens about their ability to survive and fly in space.

As Mid sternly told the pilots to get a move on, Irolia turned around and went back to the recreational area. The last part to the Moon would not take long and with Parrot on her shoulder, securing her weapons, Irolia was ready for a touchdown. The Angelic looking being the ship had followed, disappeared through a thick chain of clouds. The moment the ship passed through, the whole area came into view.

A crowd of roughly the same looking beings, the beautiful people of Millius Prime looked at the landing ship with awe and curiosity. As the ramp went down, the angelic people on the surface, got closer, some of the younger ones, flew up to inspect many parts of the exterior of the ship. Irolia looked at her droid Parrot, which beeped excited, making Irolia smile warmly to her little droid. If Walking down the ramp, she looked around. First the people of the planet, they looked very much like the one they saw in space, but then she looked around the area. The first thought to mind was peaceful, a bit too peaceful for her liking, but maybe that's just to the fault of a lifetime of action, danger, death and war.

Iego. The system seemed more of a graveyard than a heaven. Silent lights, in a vaguely human form, glided wistfully about the ship on it's lonely approach to Millius Prime, navigating through the bones of old starships, and the occasional corpse drifting alone through the vacuum of space. The ghostly lights nearly as eerie as the mournful song that accompanied them. It was not a song that carried through the air on the Sanctus, but rather one that echoed from the back of it's crew and passengers' minds. The song was like a sad memory, it felt familiar, like those who listened knew it somehow, as if remembered vaguely from a childhood.

It would send a chill down their spines, and would begin to dull their minds and senses, giving a dreamlike feeling, as those of weaker wills wouldn't be able to help but follow the lights, as if leading them to an afterlife.

Afterlife indeed. To those of stronger will, the song's intoxication would feel the nightmarish sensation beneath that dreamlike veil. A trick of the Force, or perhaps... something else. To most, the rock song from the Sanctus' speakers would be all but drowned out by the ghostly siren song, but to those that could keep their presence of mind, they would hear the speakers' haunting distortion as the Sanctus' lights and electrical systems flickered, seemingly threatening to go completely dark, cold, and silent at any moment. It would look as if they were about to join this graveyard of ships, but then the alien lights outside the ship fluttered away, and the song dissipated, pulling the crew back to their senses, just before colliding with a derelict hull in a dangerous patch of debris.

The Sanctus came to an abrupt stop and made an akward lurch as the pilot made a last moment maneuver to avoid an untimely end their voyage, while the shields and electrical systems came back online and normalized. Now, a single one of those light beings floated beyond the ship, seemingly beckoning to those aboard. Looking directly at the beings was difficult, the light radiating from them nearly blinding. One could make out the edges of what was perhaps six wings protruding from their shining auras, waving or fluttering lazily in space. Now this one seemed to take shape, a squinting onlooker would make out a glowing young man, with curled hair and skin of bronze, carved like a priceless statue. Indeed, he held a warm smile and beckoned the ship to follow.

He led the Sanctus through the astral graves to the Moon of Angles below. When they finally landed, the Sith would find themselves soaring over a massive gardened, golden city, adorning the cliffs and golden shores, a warm orange dusk filling the air and sky. A stark contrast to the world's exterior.

The Sith would feel the Force in this place. The Force felt old here, somehow. Built upon a mountain overlooking the grand city, was a palace surrounded by clouds. A palace worthy of gods, or the Dark Lords of the Sith. The Sanctus had landed on a platform, like a ledge hanging over the clouds below, jutting out from the center of this palace. Before the ship, the angel who had led them here landed gracefully, between them and the entrance. He stood, his height that which would tower over a normal man, his wings resting behind him, and his hands upon a weapon the size of a man, with it's head -perhaps a 45 pound hammer- resting upon the ground in front of his feet. He stood silently, awaiting the Sith, his face and mind betraying no signs of his intent.

The ship lurched as it collided with a piece of debris, causing anything not bolted down to fall over, the crew included. Mid got back on his feet and slapped each pilot over the head. "This is a new ship dammit!" he scolded them. And his concerns were legitimate. The ship was brand spanking new and already it suffered a heavy blow to its systems. At least the shields held up.

A single Angel hovered in front of the ship, causing Mid to squint and cover his eyes. It gestured to follow and Mid expected his crew to do exactly that. He returned to the women in the recreational area. "Alright never mind. Humour them if you have to but be on guard. We won't make a first move but if we have to defend ourselves so be it." he spoke irritably and sternly.

The ship finally touched down and the ramp lowered. Mid stood at the top, his helmet under his right arm and his left hand lazily resting on the hilt of his lightsaber. Not a threatening pose, simply out of habit. Though when his eyes met that hammer he not only erected a mental barrier to lock anyone out of his mind, he drew upon the force as well. He would be prepared to fight if he had to, but for the moment he made sure to not make any movements or gestures to show that he was hostile. He calmly walked down the ramp and stopped a meter or two away from the angel, giving him a small bow. "Greetings, good sir. My name is Mid Samekh, crusader of the Sith Empire and Priest of the Church of the Sith. I must say it is an absolute pleasure to meet you and your kind in person." his voice was clear, professional and polite. While he could not read the angel, he could read soldiers. And this one was most certainly a soldier...and a skeptical one judging by the massive hammer at the ready and his effort to hide his thoughts and intentions.

He was big, easily towering over any normal person and clearly quite intimidating...but so was Mid. Sure this angel as big but Mid wasn't exactly small. He stood tall and stalwart, a small smile on his lips as he looked at the warrior angel. Hopefully things didn't come to blows before negotiations even started.

Don't make the first move she thought, We are sith, it is our job to make the first move, we are not Jedi. She followed him out and was ready. She would react if she felt threatened, she saw @Mid Samekh address the creature. She looked at the hammer and just thought how primitive a weapon. Sure it was big guy wielding it, but all men have a tiny weakness she was will to crush using the force. She used the force, to map out his body while they talked, so she would be ready just crush them at a moments notice. She kept back form the two of them, so not to be in swing distance ether. Though she would only attack, if they hit @Mid Samekh not before, as that was his orders.

She blue-skinned Sith did not expect to get such an aggressive welcoming part and like Mid, she called upon the force to be ready for anything. However, her hands remained folded and presentable as she bowed like Mid. The objective was, after all, to do this peaceful, if possible, so jumping in the warrior's face, wouldn't be a very smart thing to do. Irolia as a bit annoyed by the whole "be nice to the glowy people", like why not just take the planet? It has worked before. But this was Mid's mission and he called the shots.

After the quick formalities, Irolia rose and listened to Mid talk, he might as well do the talking as she didn't have much to say right this moment. She was, however, curious to see this place closer and maybe even explore it at some point. Unlike a planet like Korriban that radiated the dark side, this planet felt like neither, but yet ancient. How is this the first time the Sith Empire has tried to get in contact with this place's people? Seemed rather odd.

"He knows who you are. Do not expect again the warm embrace of Lady Tal'sia, Sith," The Angel said bluntly, his voice booming and mind-dulling. "She is dead. I am Maurek'sar, the guardian and keeper of this palace. He has allowed you passage, that you may speak for your actions and be judged. We have not forgotten you."

Maurek'sar's eyes scanned the three Sith, and turned his gaze to the Sanctus behind them. "You come in numbers, bearing weapons. You bring a ship carrying soldiers. You seek to reconquer your prize from the Diathim? Speak. What is your purpose here?" The massive guardian's eyes and presence in the Force radiated hostility. It was obvious now his intent was to kill, but something was holding him back. His emotions betrayed no fear, it was clear he was confident he could handle these three Sith and their metal skyboat. To those reaching out with the Force, they would feel a strange miasma in this place, like a fog, clouding their senses somehow, if only ever so slightly.

Mid was utterly lost over what the angel said. He had no clue who the person was that he was talking about, nor was he familiar with the Empire's history with Iego. He hid his confusion, not budging as the angel spoke with a thunderous voice.

He threw a glance behind him, making sure his companions were staying put. He waited a second or two after the angel was done before speaking up. "I'm not familiar with a lady Tal'sia, keeper, nor am I familiar with any history between the Empire and Millius Prime. Our records are a little barren on your moon." he replied politely and clearly. He gestured to the ship behind him. "And the only men I brought are my crew and companions. Not even enough for an expeditionary force. That is why we are here." he folded his arms over his chest and took a small step forward, looking the angel in the eye and not showing a hint of fear. This angel's intimidation was falling on deaf ears.

"I'm here to broker a deal with your moon. Neutrality in exchange for safe passage Iego and back out. Any more details than that you can hear when I speak with your leader." he spoke a little more sternly than before. The angel had his chance to throw his weight around, now it's the Sith's turn. Mid could feel the strange presence in the air. It didn't exactly help to calm his rather tense mood. He matched the angel's confidence and stalwart stance with a solid stance of his own. He was still ready to attack in case the angel tried anything, though he was trying to keep the negotiation civil for as long as possible. "So, keeper, are you going to allow us to speak with your moon's leader or should we take our negotiations elsewhere?" his voice lowered somewhat, speaking with the angel directly.

"Neutrality," the angel repeated, with a hint of surprise in his voice. His whole stance changed, the seemingly leaving him after Mid's explanation. "Interesting." Maurek'sar hefted the hammer up to rest on his shoulder and turned his back to the Sith.

"Come," the angel boomed. "I will take you to the Royal Protector Kem'uel and his Elders."

The guardian led them silently. from the landing area across the palace grounds. Outside the entrance, in a courtyard, stood two magnificent statues. Statues of Sith. They were centuries old, one of man and one of a woman. The angel opened the doors, into a large circular room. Five beings of bright light, with old ghostly faces, one bearing a crown, sat in a semi-circle facing the Sith as Maurek'sar repeated Mid's words to them.

"Neutrality," the crowned diathim spat. "For centuries your ancestors dominated and corrupted the world of Iego and its moons. Your kind seek only to control. What assurance could you give that this neutrality would be honored?"

Mid's answer seemed to take the angel by surprise. He couldn't blame him. Neutrality wasn't exactly the Sith method of operation. The angel lifted his hammer and instinctively Mid's left hand shifted to rest on the pommel of his lightsaber. The angel asked him to follow and without a word he fell in behind him. Over his shoulder he motioned for his companions to follow. Having them close would certainly relax him, if only slightly.

They passed two massive statues...of Sith? He couldn't place their faces but they did seem familiar. Perhaps from an old history book he came across on Korriban. But that was probably years ago. He would have remembered if it were recent. They entered a grand room with 5 beings all sitting ahead of him. Mid couldn't help but let his eyes wander. It was amazing! The architecture, the materials, the design and layout. Sure it wasn't sith architecture but he could appreciate a good design when he saw it. His mement of awe was interrupted as their king spoke up. He looked at the being as it spoke. Naturally he was rather skeptical over his offer.

Mid cleared his throat and straightened out. "I won't try and argue over any of that, my lord. It certainly is the truth. But I'm not my ancestors. And I'm unfortunately rather unfamiliar with the Empire's history with your moon." he spoke professionally, politely and clearly. "However Our interest is not Millius Prime. And neither is destruction and domination...not in the traditional sith sense at least. What assurance can I give you? At the moment the word of a humble priest. In time: Proof." he gave a small smile, and a small bow. "You know of a route through the moon belt big enough for commercial use. We need that route to conduct business with Iego. My proposition is this: You provide us with the route, and we give Millius Prime a wide berth. Your people won't be attacked by imperial ships and we won't occupy your moon. Though I can't account for what happens if your people wander too close to our ships, but I can promise you our troops know to keep their trigger fingers to themselves. They won't fire unless provoked." he spoke with enthusiasm.

Irolia was beginning to be a bit annoyed by this wannabe warrior, they came to this planet, not to attack and then this glowing lightbulb of a man had the audacity to speak to three damn sith. The Pantoran girl really wanted to punch this keeper, but refrained from doing it but choose to keep silent and just listening in on the conversation.

However, the status of the Sith made Irolia forgot her annoyance for just a minute, as she stopped to look up. *Huh, if the Sith had already been here, why haven't I ever read anything about this place?* wondered the blue Sith. She caught herself in lacking behind and started to walk after Mid and the rest, entering through a door to what looked like a palace.

Irolia stood by Mid arms behind, with hands folded together as she looked around in awe, she wasn't really focusing on what was said. She wanted to inspect the building's architecture and design, much like Mid. Irolia must admit, it was such a weird situation to be in for her as this was her very first peaceful negotiation. Again, Mid seemed to handle this hole peacey talk stuff, that Irolia didn't really feel for talking and besides, she might just piss off the glowy people in front of them.
